Thanks T, you motivated me 3 years ago to get an 06 G35 Coupe as my first car. Since then I never settled & modified with the end goal in mind & I wound up with the dream exhaust - full Motordyne TDX2 with ART pipes among other goodies!
They look fine because you're not misrepresenting what they are. Like those caliper covers or just a sticker that says brembo, or anything like that. I'm not sure about the G35, but I know the 2006 350z (facelift year) got upgraded calipers, which I put on my z. They're really good, but I'd love brembos one day
IMHO, if you plan to do track/Auto Cross, big brakes are a must. For the rest of us, a good quality set of pads should do fine. The only time I had issues with stock set is during extreme spirited driving and braking from triple digits. In this case Brake Fade would occur. The replacement slotted/drilled rotors prevented this from happening.
I've always been skeptical of slotted/drilled rotors that are the same diameter as stock. Because by drilling and slotting a stock rotor, its leaving less surface to transfer heat. I would only go slotted/drilled rotors if I were increasing the rotor size.
Haha I remember that scandal on your channel, always wondered why there was never a video for the big brake kit. Did you change to a 03-05 g35 brembo brake booster?
I'm actually looking into upgrading to a big brake kit myself. I have an 06 so I have the non brembos. I always heard you needed to swap to the brembo booster when swaping to a BBk/brembos. Good to know you don't need too 👍

I always stop right at LA when I go north exploring because I'm stuck in traffic, so I just turn around. SO CAL so far for me, is unbelievable. I need to visit Jim wolf technology and sheepy racing is down here too. What part are you picking up?
@@MotordyneG35 I have a red top turbo SR20 I'm rebuilding with stage 2 JWT cams. I need to make sure I have the right valve springs and shims for the head shop to do what they gotta do. I'm in the Larchmont (L.A.) neighborhood.
@@IAMWAXX thanks for the response and sorry for the late response. I got it with a broken key and I only had the metal part of it, it would only crank at first with no start and now it’s the same but the fans kicks on at full blast when it’s in the on position. it wasn’t programming with the regular key guys so I brought it to the dealership, they said that I need a new ipdm and also the plugs had to all be replaced via soldering because the other one was corroded, do you think this would fix it. I also opened the ipdm and it looks alright I can also send you some pictures, thanks a lot man I really appreciate your responses!
@@yousefabujumaiza2267 check my prior videos, on the ipdm. I replaced mine and it was not needed. In your situation, you need a key programmed is why the fans are just kicking on because anti theft is on. Solid red light WHEN CRANKING THE ENGINE means the car does not recognize the key you are using to start the vehicle. The engine will crank but the injectors will not open and there won't be spark, it's a NATS/IVIS interlock, the anti-theft stuff on the G35
@@MotordyneG35 thank you very much for the reply, I cracked open my ipdm and it seems to have a little burn on one of the metal pieces and when the guys came to program the key the could not even connect the the car to reprogram it, the dealership said the ipdm was the issue, do you think I should change it, thanks man!
Brakes are the last thing people usually do when modifying a car back in the day. I feel like people are prioritizing it more recently. 👌

I’m confused.. are you saying that the AKB are better than the non brembo calipers? Because.. duh. Or are you saying their better than the brembo’s.
Supposedly Infiniti did get complaints about the Brembo setup. That's why they came out later with the Aks. The Aks are better!
