Perfect timing, I have a huge bag of dates here that I had bought to make some granola bars with and now I have something else that looks great to use them in, thank you.
I thought sticky toffee pud was an ancient recipe! Steve, when adding vanilla extract to the sauce, would you be preserving more vanilla flavor if you added it after you boiled it?
Mine and the others half’s all time favourite Steve. Just checked, Sainsburys have 500g packs of the Medjool Dates, so I’m having a crack at this, just one Q, will the sauce keep in the fridge? Thanks mate 👍

No, I think 1940’ or 50’s , there is plenty of other liquid in the sauce to hold the vanilla flavor after the alcohol from the extract cooks out 👍🏻
57 seconds ago wow haha
Do you have measurements Steve ? 😊
Yes mate, in the video description box 👍🏻
@@stevescooking good man and thank you 😊
Yum! Looks like cake with ala mode + a sauce. How do you define a pudding in the UK?
It was a british class thing. Puddings were eaten by the lower class people. (rustic) Desserts were eating by the upper class....thanks 👌🏻

Do you think soaking the dates in hot tea adds any flavor to the pudding?
Absolutely, many people soak dates in tea for this pudding
