Tbh i dont think any was "better". She had a nice spongey cake. Nice and airy like its supposed to be and covered in sauce. For me, the portion was just a bit small. Look wise i would give her better score than Marians IF the portion was bigger but Marians looked realllllll good too.

Try watching the Italian episodes if you haven’t, the most respectful and wholesome so far, no shade at all that they even try to add drama in the editing lol (people complained about that and it seems like the editors stopped doing so in the more recent ones which is 😔👌🏻👌🏻)
They don’t compare other’s to theirs, they enjoy it and critique it as it is without bias, so lovely 😩

@@vincentvincent7004 As a watcher, you can comment about the personality. And it was obvious that the other mom (can’t remember her name) down graded her. She literally said she’d serve it if hers wasn’t available. Does that mean she’s a 7/10? I highly doubt a 6/10 would be something she serve to her family. She just needed one point to tie and two points to win. It’s pretty obvious she should’ve one if they graded honestly.
@@MajorJim69 downgraded? How do you know have you tasted it? There wasnt massive differences in scoring and honestly its hard to know with just 2 people, Vanessa was just the more positive one, the black one was just incredibly picky (which good on her) and the white one a mixture of both

What I’m saying is that she’s saying that she’d definitely eat hers if she didn’t make any herself. You can then use logic and realize a 6/10 is barely above average. I highly doubt something she’d readily second to hers would score a 6/10. I literally just said “does that mean her dish is a 7/10?” Meaning, it’s suspect that she made those comments and then scored her barely above average.
I just want Vanessa to adopt at this point. She seems to be such a jolly, funny and a cool mum!

I've eaten A LOT of Sticky Toffee Puddings and they were always nice and dark because of the dates. It kind of bothered me that the one mom kept suspecting that the puddings were burnt. Hers actually looked quite pale and muffin like in comparison. Vanessa was definitely the highlight of this video. She seemed fair and open to others dishes. Can't wait to see what food they judge next!
It’s true usually it’s made with dark muscovado sugar… I don’t know why she’s says it’s burnt….
She’s probably made it with treacle too, especially if it’s slightly salty. But that’s the proper way to make it :)

Naw she rubbed me the wrong way with her other unfair judgements that everyone saw through and commented on and I believe she read them now she judging fairly being fake and I don't do fake...you can still tell she hates to say someone's stuff is good or give it a good rating

They’re wearing the same outfits as they are in all the other ones. They were probably recorded on the same day in succession so I doubt this is true.
@@reniqharris yes, all these videos were clearly recorded on the same day. I just think she warmed up to being on camera after a while-- and probably after winning one, she felt less insecure and became more gracious in her judging.
Their hair, clothes, and makeup are exactly the same in every video so it's just one long day of filming. Sometimes people take a while to warm up to the cameras.

Sticky toffee pudding is supposed to be dark. I'm sure pattis was delicious but looked nothing like its supposed to!
I think Mum Patti "reimagined" the dessert the way she wanted it to too look and present and said to hell with the original version.
Look up sticky toff recipes online and you’ll see they are light as often as dark (more often light, actually). There is no official designation.
@@LouieLouie505 I looked through the first 50 or so images on Google of sticky toffee pudding and they're _all_ darker than that thing Patti served. Also, none of them looked like a muffin.
@@B_27 why look up images instead of recipes? Individual puddings are that round basin shape- though I have no idea why they plated hers upside down. But you would have known that already since you looked at “so many” pictures.

I know what shape a pudding is and Patti's was not it. Also, she's the one who plated it up, they all cook and plate their own dishes.

I think this channel knew what they were doing when they selected their contestants, to see our reaction and interaction which boost their ratings. There's at least 1 on each panel and I can't stand them. Still I don't ever mind hating on a hater though 🤣

@M4TR!X Not really I this video no but she did give an 8 to a pudding she said was practically identical to her own just without cream. I don't think Patti is really familiar with sticky toffee pudding hence why she made caramel and thought that toffee was burnt as it was dark

Not but really, Vanessa's pudding could've won if the other moms are as generous as vanessa when it comes to scoring.
Marian even scored an 8 on Vanessa’s pudding, that’s great as previously she didn’t score anything high and was jarring, whereas Patty is still so stubborn with the scoring and is still petty.
I love how Vanessa enjoyed the other moms pudding and had no problem giving them a high score❤️

Why are you guys hating on Marian? She was able to be complimentary yet constructive, whereas Patti tries her best to bring the score down so she can win, she’s also so picky/rude. Vanessa is simply icon, and a ball of energy we love her 🥰🥰
I agree, which is disappointing because Patti was great in the first videos she did. Her return was as disgusting as their food looked.
I think Marian follows the culinary traditions much more closely for classic English dishes such as shepherd's pie and toffee pudding than Patti does. Patti appears to be a little bit more innovative and does not adhere to the traditions of the dishes and relies more on presentation rather than taste. When Marian says that Patti made a muffin and not a pudding, I think her assessment is quite correct. For this round, Marian did deserve to win it. It was elegant and intended to be rich and comforting.
Cause she’s white, I’m a black dude but I had to say it I’ve watched all three vids on them and PATTI LITERALLY LAUGHS AT THE OTHERS DISHES before even trying it and no one says anything, but Marian makes one joke and everyone slates her.

As someone across the pond, I feel that Patti was biased by her own tastes instead of just British ones. The Sticky Toffee Pudding Marian served is what many would know to be a Sticky Toffee Pudding. It literally looks and sounds like what is known amongst Britain as Sticky Toffee Pudding which is also quite dark in colour. If anything, Patti seems to bring a lot of twists to British dishes which isn't bad I mean if it's great to her tastes that's great! But the most complying to the actual British dishes, isn't hers. In this specific episode only Marian's and Vanessa's looked like Sticky Toffee Pudding. Patti's also looked like a dry muffin to me with some regular caramel sauce on top. Sounds nice as well but not exactly Sticky Toffee Pudding.

@@chickensprint have u never heard of the Windrush generation... as a Somali British person, my mother learnt how to make the desert when she moved to England as she ate it all the time because it's an integral part of British cuisine and culture. She's just as British as she is Somali same as the contestants here. sticky toffee pudding also is popular in countries like new Zealand and Australia. I'll give u a minute to think about why that is and why it's made out of dates which don't originate from Britain ... All the mothers here are British and that's the beauty of this country. They aren't technically British they ARE British you halfwit !!!

Has Patti ever seen a Sticky toffee pudding? It usually is dark due to the dates being mixed in and the sauce is dark.
I think this series needs to have atleast one more british person, perhaps an expert, try these to give an extra rating because i dont trust these. Patti has been getting a lot of high ratings but her food always seems a bit off. Her Shepards Pie was basically just mashed potato and not her sticky Toffee pudding is just a muffin with SOME sauce? How are you going to complain about someones STICKY pudding being covered so much when that is the point of a STICKY toffee pudding. The cake itself HAS to be a sponge cake because its supposed to be light since it has to be drowned in sauce lol. Its supposed to BE and LOOK sticky. It fascinates me how her had "so much flavour" according to Vanessa when there was barely any sauce. I think she was saying her genuine feelings, HOWEVER, I think that she’s trying to be funny, but she’s not funny so it comes across as infuriatingly mean. She let the love she got from the first time get to her head and change her. She’s definitely annoying.
