- DO NOT CHEAT AT POKER
IMPORTANT: I do NOT recommend using this move to cheat in a poker game. I am teaching the move for two reasons.
Reason 1 (first and foremost) to those of you who play in cash games where money is at risk, it is important to understand the many ways your game can be compromised. Many cheating tactics in poker and other card games played for money are implemented via "sleight of hand technique." The best way to learn how to spot a cheater using sleight of hand is to understand the mechanics that go into a move used by the cheat in order to gain an unlawful advantage in a card game.
Reason 2: Gambling sleight of hand is a beautiful art form and a joy to practice and study if cards, card games or card magic is of interest to you. Without gambling sleight of hand many of todays great magicians wouldn't be able to entertain and amaze us without the use of moves which derived from the card table. In essence... Thanks to artists and magicians these moves which were originally intended for unlawful purposes have proven to be of value when it comes to making people happy through the joy of magic and entertainment. And let's face it... isn't life a little better when we can turn a negative into a positive? I think so.
DO NOT USE THIS MOVE TO CHEAT AT CARDS. LEARN THE MOVE FOR EITHER PROTECTION AGAINST CARD CHEATS OR TO ENTERTAIN AN AUDIENCE BY AMAZING THEM VIA THE USE OF SLEIGHT OF HAND TECHNIQUE.
Use this tutorial to learn the One handed shift, also called the one handed pass. The shift/pass is an important move to know how to spot if playing for money at the card table and could be of great value to magicians and sleight of hand artists when performing card tricks or gambling demonstrations. While it is not meant to be invisible, this shift, when done properly is very deceptive and therefore very advantageous to cheaters in a live game or to the magician attempting to amaze an audience. Whichever reason you decide to learn this move, the more you practice the better you'll be at spotting it under fire or implementing it to amaze an audience. Stay Sharp... Stay Kardsharp.

great tutorial, one of the best on one handed shifts i hv seen. especially you do not see one handed shift with cut card anywhere, its really pro level
Thank you MJ. Its a ballsy move...knowing when to use it is just as important as knowing how to use it!
The fact that this channel has only 647 subs is mind boggling. You deserve all the attention, this tutorial was amazing!
Thanks my friend!
Has over 1k now...but still for what this man is blessing us with should be many many more.
If you guys are still around I hope you’ll both get a lot out of the videos I’m gonna start releasing. If you wander back to read this comment feel feee to let me know the different things you would like to learn!
Great video Houston, what's going on with million dollar mechanics dvd? Any release dates soon?
Keep up the great work!
Xo
@MrErdnase1 hoping by end of year! It has to be perfect because I’m only writing it once. Lol
This is one of my favorite fidget moves. I didn't think of it as a one handed pass...😲😲😲
It's definitely a great fidget move! lol
Love the tutorial, can’t wait for your book!
Thank you! Working hard on it!
Careful of the slap noise, I usually wait until someone is playing with their chips(that stupid shuffle move people like to do) or raking in the last pot.
My favorite way to use it is to keep my right hand on the table while turning around in my chair to ask for a drink or to say something. Also...I agree about the slap. Good note....and a perfect example of why I always say...its just as important to know "when" to do a move as it is to know "how" to do a move. ;-) Thanks for watching!
Holy shit, I have never seen a one handed pass WITH a cut card, that's insane!
Great tutorial. How’s Million Dollar Mechanics coming along? Anxious for it!
Thanks Conley! I've gotten the chapters complete and am now taking all of the pictures for the text, and will then shoot all of the video tutorials. Its a mammoth project! Thanks for your support!
What do you think of the longitudinal shift? Have you ever used it?
Hi Sam. So sorry I missed your question...I always try and answer every question as soon as I can. Like many shifts, the longitudinal shift is very knacky. Having said that, under the right circumstances it can actually be a very deceptive move at the card table. I will add that to my list of youtube tutorials....I'm eventually gonna get the entire book online. lol . Hey..I noticed you haven't subscribed! Please do...and thanks for dropping by.
How did you get the break after you completed the cut? 🤔👌
Send me the exact time frame in the vid you are referring to and I’ll get back to you my friend!
0:33 you put the packet on top of the aces. For a split second your hand leaves the deck. After that you get a break? Hoooooow? 😉 Thanks!!
@@eaglethedigger It only took me 3 years... but I'm now responding! lol. (Sorry... been away for awhile). The answer is what you suspected. I am getting a break! Again, sorry for the delayed response. I'll be making new videos moving forward. Hope to see you back in the comments section!
@@HoustonCurtisKardsharp hey you are back! That's nice :)🙌
3:53 haha, it actually is. It's called the "tiger fist" (literally translated from Chinese (hu quan))
Little know fact... The ancient Chinese Master who invented the Tiger Fist....was also a known hustler! lol
Love the tutorial, however I am having difficulty with getting the top packet in a good enough grip with my thumb. Any advice?
try using bridge size playing cards. get it down with those, and then switch back to poker size!
I cant do it whenever i try to lift the top packet it only takes the top card. Is it becuase of my small hands?
Keep at it. Try placing the top packet already lifted as shown and do that for awhile. Eventually you’ll get there!
@@HoustonCurtisKardsharp ok thanks for replying so fast :)
I always will when I can my friend! Good luck!
Cards BOSS 👍
Damn, I thought I came up with this ahaha
I've come up with so many moves over the years...only to find out later that someone else created the move years before me. lol
KardSharp tell me about it, or I’ve spent ages making a gimmick for a new trick only to find out it’s released years ago :(
I've got a BIG video I'm about to post! Stay tuned! I debated a long time deciding whether or not to post it...but I'm gonna share some of my Bottom Deal secrets!
KardSharp I’m looking forward to it! I’ve been learning Madison’s bottom desk but it seems unnatural to me so I stopped learning it. So I’m excited to try your technique
Madison's bottom deal would get you killed in fast company! Stay away from it! Jason England has a good tutorial...and Million Dollar Mechanics is goign to have everything I know about the bottom deal from over 30 years as a high stakes professional. But in the meantime, I'm gonna give you some great FREE info in the upcoming tutorial!
great video, brother
Thank you Chanthala! I hope you subscribe and check out the rest of the channel! I just released an in-depth bottom deal tutorial that you might enjoy!
No problem, and can you share if you have how to deal center cards, please.
Hi my friend! I will be teaching a detailed tutorial of the Center deal in my upcoming book and video series Million Dollar Mechanics! here is the trailer! ua-cam.com/video/TKOCjUpaRhM/v-deo.html - and thank you for subscribing!
Basically learning how to cheat in card games.
Respectfully, The other way to look at it…. Is how to spot those who might attempt to cheat in a card game.
this is impossible
lol... Des fonsi, I know how you feel. It is a pain in the ass knuckle busting move. But I promise... with enough practice you will be doing it in your sleep!
It's easier to get used to if you can already do the Erdnase Shift, still not easy though. If you already can do the Erdnase Shift, er, well, just keep practicing, it will get easier.
