3.5" Dash speakers install 2020 Ram 1500

Quick video on installing 3.5" dash speakers on 2019-2021 Ram 1500. Probably the best speaker upgrade you can do on these trucks for sound clarity especially if you add a subwoofer

Kicker key 200.4 would probably fit in the space behind the factory radio inside the dash. You can run the base 6 speaker in 4 channel or leave the back doors out and run full front stage with just the front 4. The kicker key amps have a built in EQ with a staging microphone to help get things setup perfectly. And can be run with speaker level input so you don't need a separate line out converter.

They overpower the door speaker because of the ohm mismatch. The oem speakers are 8ohm vs the replacements that are probably 4 ohm. This would only apply to the non amplified factory system.

That`s true on the ohms if you add a four ohms tweeter it will sound louder than your woofer, because is drawing more power away from your woofer. that`s why they put a 8 ohms tweeter so it wont sound over powering your woofer.. The lower the ohms the more power it draws.

That’s not true in this application.
The factory dash speaker uses small capacitors that block bass frequencies
They’re soldered on the actual speaker.
So since it’s not receiving any bass frequencies all the power goes to the woofer
All you have to do is make sure you use a similar capacitor on the new 4 ohm speaker and voila…. No loss in bass response from the 4ohm mid bass.

You never know with door speakers? Not doing it right then. If you are running power and inputs for your sub, take the time and run a 4 channel. Believe me you will hear a difference.
