Thank you too for talking about the Asian-American struggle as an invisible minority. It's especially salient considering all the shit you've taken for being popular on booktube. Honestly, you're so admirable. From one Asian creative to another, thank you - you've been so motivational and I think a lot of people who don't like you are just afraid that someone else is getting the things they want by being their authentic self.
As an Asian-American woman who works in a predominantly white and female field, I've definitely also dismissed my own feelings about systematic racism and inequality as something that is "not a big deal," so I'll have to check out Minor Feelings. On another note, I pretty much had the same thoughts as you about Spin the Dawn. Also wish they had explored the war aspect more because it's there in the background and she loses two of her brothers to it but it doesn't feel like it was really fleshed out beyond "our heroine needs a tragic backstory."

About the anti-asian sentiment, I've felt this so deeply. It's called the model minority myth. I THINK UR CUTE TOO NIKKI UWU
I was supposed to start my final project now, but Cindy posted and it’s too late to start it now so I’ll start later
Makes sense
Honestly I would love to see more of you cooking/book reviews. I mean, the sheer amount of chaotic neutral energy pouring out of you (and into your food, maybe, like a special seasoning of sorts?!) every time you swing that knife around like it's an extention of your arm is surprisingly refreshing, actually. Love the "you're kidnapped and the book-obsessed girl who did it actually only wanted to cook you dinner" POV, lots of Killing Eve vibes. Also, that mac & cheese looked so good, so maybe you're into something right there idk.
Ohhhh I came here hoping Cindy would be back and she IS 😍 don't mind me simping
hewwo :3
The problem with watching Cindy's videos right after it comes out is that on the next day I have to wait for another week for a new video 😌
wait why are there so many books in this mac and cheese cooking tutorial
cuz it's COOK and BOOK !
Cindy, I love your book reviews!! You always talk about the pros and when talking about the cons, it's always respectful and constructive. A role model to us all.
As someone who wants to start a booktube channel, and is in awe of your ability to articulate what you're thinking, do you have a script or rough outline for your views before you start? Or do you just go with the flow?
