    You can apply it to your alloy wheels which has the same affect and prevents the need for chemicals to remove brake dust as it just wipes straight off.

    2 months on/2K miles and the Fusso Coat keeps impressing me. The car lives outside, it's my daily driver and I keep it clean mostly doing Waterless washes. It has been through standard washes 3 times so far and I applied Sonax BD once a month ago just to keep the car glossy. Fusso really makes cleaning the car much easier. Power washing it is enough to remove 90% of road grime. Will update later.

    I have this wax but for dark colored cars and I have to say, this is the most durable paste wax I have ever used. It's been on my truck since last April and it still beads water like crazy, so I think I can get 12 months out of the Soft 99 wax. And yes I wash my truck on a regular basis and I also live in south Georgia and the truck stays outside, not in a garage.

    I honestly think that paint prep is the most overlooked area in the car detailing arena, it can make or break any product, regardless of the hype!!!!! I know now that m205 and m210 are excellent prep polishes so that the detailer gets the most out of the product period!!!!!! There are others too, but I stick with what never lets me down, my auto will blind anyone year-round because of paying attention to the prep process. From the foaming to the contact wash prep is key!!!!!

      Thanks Mike! It's awesome because you have that immediate feedback when you go to rinse to check for the survival of the product on the paint. And the fact that it does take multiple passes on these heavier sealants is a testament to how mild the polish in the formula actually is. I'm going to enjoy running more tests with it.

    Waxmode, it's been too long since your last video. I got nervous that you weren't going to make any more. Great video as always. Now I gotta get a couple of tins of that Fusso. It seems like some real durable stuff. Also I see there is a real purpose for that new Megs soap. It seems like it's great for using it after you thoroughly wash the car first. Meguires advertise it to use on a car that hasn't been washed yet so that it would clean and remove scuff marks. But It seems that would only scratch paint.

    Here in Norway, high-fluoride skiwax is used, especially by pro skiers. However, members of the team who work with it regulary have had health issues. There is currently a debate going if it should be banned or restricted. I wonder of the fusso is bad for people and enviornment too. I would certainly use gloves.

      Thanks John! So far Fusso Coat is the only product of Soft99 that I've worked with, I definitely need to grab some more of their products to test out. Fusso is definitely a durable paste wax, I was surprised at how resistant it was against Meguiar's Wash Plus, awesome performance.

    Definitely do some follow ups about the Megs Wash Plus, I know LOTS of people would be interested in a less abrasive wax and sealant remover than going through all the work with a polish and DA. I just bought a big jug of Megs Hyper Wash that I was going to try mixing with de-greaser concentrations to try and knock down sealant but this Wash Plus sounds like an easier fix IF it isn't doing damage in the process with it's "abrasives". Now I kinda wished I had waited on picking up the jug of Hyperwash.

    Soft 99 is a good wax in the uk we have a wax called harley. Exellent durability spreads really easy, you can use with a damp
    sponge a little goes a long way. Lasts for 4 to 5 months with our rubbish climate. The beading is the best i have seen for closeness.I believe it originally came from the us, costs £22.00 in the uk.

    finally got around to trying fusso coat and i'm kinda disappointed that i couldn't get an even coat to cure on my paint. I didn't set a timer for the wax to harden up,i just eye balled when to buff off. Fusso coat left white streaks on my red paint that will not come off unless i used a paint prep to strip it off. maybe i used too much or maybe i left it on too long.

    Hi, thanks for this video!
    Did you tested soft99 fusso coat dark in bad weather? In my country we have winter where could be -20 and so on , and on the roads are salt which is the worst for cars. Before the winter I waxes my car with Turtle wax Platinum wax. But some time ago I found this Soft99 wax and I am impressed about it, I would love to buy this product, but I want to know if it will stay on my car surface about 6 months. Including that here are winter, snow , rain. I would love to hear your answer, after that I will deside - buy soft99 or stay on turtle wax platinum.
    Thank you very much!

    You know after going back and watching the video I think doing the roof of the car would be something to show simply because the water will bead but just sit there still causing water spots as the Megs Fast Finish did. I went over it with hydrosilex and it did the same so now I gotta polish out water spots. Definitely need to see how it works on the roof , I’ve applied some to mine like to see someone do it in a review .

    @Waxmode Awesome review. Question, what is your opinion on a top performing sealant? I ordered Chemical Guys Jetseal before I found your page and reviews and so its to late for that but I was leaning towards Fusso. Some sites have it down as a wax but I understand it to be more of a sealant. Also, what would be your top wax and would you recommend putting it over a sealant. Thank you for your time and reviews.

    I got some of this wax through ebay, it's one of my new favorites. The durability/water beading is outstanding. I found that it was very easy to apply too much, making it extremely difficult to remove. It has similar water behavior to one of my other favorite products (Sonax Polymer Net-Shield) but it leaves the surface smooth and slippery instead of the grabby feeling you get with Sonax PNS. Both great products with minimal drawbacks. What other products do you have in the pipeline to test? I just picked up some Meguiars Fast Finish and have some Sonax CC36 on the way as well, I can't wait to try them.

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому

      Thanks for the feedback on Fusso, it is certainly the real deal and against FK1000P it will be more hydrophobic and hold tighter beading over the weeks. Too many products to shoot videos for, not enough to time to get it done unfortunately! Let me know how you like CC36, I'm really anxious to see how this is going to perform. I jumped into some coating tests, EXO v3 recently, pulled the trigger on Crystal Serum Light immediately afterwards, very much looking forward to this combo. CQuartz UK is on a section of the paint on top of Essence, I want to see how Essence Plus does on top of everything. McKee's 37 is up, still need to set up Blackfire Crystal Coat (wish me luck). A lot of the viewers are going to enjoy Gyeon Can Coat, I need to set up another test and shoot a video.

    Great review. I've recently purchased this and have to say I'm impressed. Like no other sealant I've seen. I have used it over autoglym SRP and will be topping it after washes with sonax BSD. My question is would meguairs m205 be better for paint prep? I will be doing this all by hand if that makes a difference. Also, any other experience with soft99 products like the kiwami, scratch clear mirror wax or fusso coat mirror shine? Heard great things about those products and want more shine. But, dont want to give up too much durability or hydrophobic properties. Also, best sonax BSD and hybrid v7 ratio? Thanks for the help and keep up the great videos!

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  6 років тому

      Thanks Shaun. SRP is a great polish, it's more filler based than abrasive, and it does contain a protectant so I would say it's not the cleanest base for a durable sealant on top. M205 is the better paint prep but in your case since you're working by hand, I would actually stick with SRP. M205 is not a diminishing abrasive, but you still have to work it in enough to the point where trying to do this by hand will still be extremely tiresome. I would be willing to accept a potential hit in durability out of Fusso by going with SRP which is easier to work by hand.
      Heard great things about King of Gloss from Soft99 for those looking in a gloss boost above Fusso, the tradeoff is the beading is insane in the short term but it won't hold up as well. I still really like the 50/50 BSD and V7 combo, I feel it's a great balance, I definitely need to do a video on this.

    Hi there. Great video.
    I have never waxed my car before. I have an almost new car (6 month old) so there shouldn´t be much contermination on the paint? I wash my car by hand using the two bucket method about every 10-20 days (Adams Car Shampoo)
    Up to now i have used CarPro Hydr02 (spray coating) two times, which have work out fine, but it last only 2-3 months.
    I would appreciate if you could make a simple description on how and which products i should use to prep my car before i apply Fusso99 to get the most durability out of it.
    It would be best if you could suggest a not so time consuming way of degreasing/prepping my car, so it is not to overwhelming or difficult for an enthusiastic amateur like me 😄
    Would it be better to use a microfiber pad when applying Fusso instead of a sponge? U mentioned in the video that Fusso was i bit more harsh or difficult to apply when using the sponge applicator.
    Can i still use Hydr02 combined in some way with Fusso99?
    Thx

      ChiliConArne To prep your car (a 6 month new car that's never been waxed is full of bonded contaminants believe me) simply buy a strip car wash, I use chemical guys "clean slate" I find it works very well. Wash your car with that, going over the car several times with a microfiber wash pad of some sort. That will take care of any old waxes. Buy a clay bar kit or even better a clay block (chem guys also sell them) I find the block easier to use. Clay your car and then your car is ok to apply Fusso. That's the simplest way to prep your car.

    I’m just curious, does this wax just provide water repellent effects or does it actually provide protection against UV rays, bird poop and acid rain ? In addition, how long can it last honestly, or how often should I be applying this per year for best protection/hydrophobic effects ?

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  6 років тому +3

      Yes, on the tin in Japanese it lists the following points which includes UV protection:
      Ultra hydrophobic - After coated paintwork will be significantly smoothen, and after car wash is easier to manage as less water droplets remain on bodywork.
      Environmental harm resistance - It will significantly reduce acid rain, exhaust smoke affecting the bodywork.
      Scratch Resistant - After coated a hard layer will protect the paint from scratches such as sand and dust.
      Color fading resistance - After coated it will be UV protected to prevent color fading from paint.
      Super glossiness - It will add an extra gloss layer to your bodywork.

      Fusso didn't really like Bead Maker or Chemical Guys V7 in the short term, they tended to reduce the awesome beading. I would make plans to run something much more hydrophobic for maintenance, like BSD or Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, or HCW. Wish I had grabbed some more Soft99 products a while ago to see if they have a good topper in their line that fits Fusso well.
      I've got a durability test currently going with Fusso just over a month on the paint which I can use to test different toppers with once more time passes.

    Great videos! So to confirm, for a paste sealant how Fusso is your fav, Hi-Temp, then collinite marq? I've been wanting to top Fusso with the Insulator wax. I would like to see a video of different toppings on the Fusso at some point! :)
    Oh and while I have you, what are your thoughts on the blackfire wet diamond sealant? Thanks in advance.

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому +2

      Blackfire Wet Diamond is excellent, completely different than the heavier sealants like Hi-Temp and Fusso. It's extremely similar to Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. Super slick, super easy on off, much less aggressive with water but still yields months and months of durability.
      We'll have to play around topping Fusso in the future to see if this has a noticeable impact on that top level product. It's hard for me to judge these by favorites, I like all of them! But out of all of these, I don't think we'll find another one in my collection that will stand up to Wash Plus better than Fusso. Not by a long shot.

    Great videos man, I have a question. What type of soap, or prep would you recommend when you are working with excessive hard water? Sometimes I wash vehicles in N.J. and the super hard water makes it very difficult to get a vehicle really clean.

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому

      Thanks! With excessively hard water coming out of the hose, I will bypass this and use a rinseless or waterless wash solution. Fill the buckets up with tap water and even if this is hard water itself, the rinseless formula acts as a softener. Check out Mckee's 37 N-914, I also really like using Wolfgang Uber Rinseless wash. It's not worth the potential etching and spotting with crazy hard water, the paint loses all slickness as well when you go to dry. With a rinseless formula, you can wash the paint and maintain slickness, avoid spotting and use less water which is good if you're in an area with restricted water usage. The new N-914 has great cleaning power and won't leave behind a polymer which is good if you're working with coatings and want to maintain its performance.

    Hey bro just saw the vid. Great vid. Question. Im in NY so around let's say October or so should I use this to winter prep. Should this be used alone or should I put on a sealant first then this on top of sealant

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  6 років тому

      You can get away with using Fusso by itself as your main sealant. It's heavy, I would imagine if you tried to top a sealant with Fusso then it's going to diminish the sealant underneath.

    Want to put a sealant on my new exhaust tip before I install it. In your opinion, you think fusso or high temp paste wax would be better? Keeping in mind I would also use one of those for my paint. I also own Jescar Power Lock polymer sealant. Would that be just as good for the exhaust tip? Thanks!

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому +1

      Higher temperatures is Hi-Temp Paste Wax's bread and butter, that would be my go to sealant for exhaust tips. Haven't tried Fusso to compare it against though, I'm not sure if the higher heat would cause Fusso to break down faster.

      Hey MC, are you asking if you can put Fusso Coat on top of a car coated with a ceramic coating? I would only do this if I'm ready to forget about the performance of the coating underneath. But Fusso will stick over a coating.

    What how will fusso coat last for. On a none garage car. And how does it compare to collinite 845.

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  6 років тому

      Fusso Coat is going to be more durable than Collinite 845. Expect 5-8 months of durability out of Fusso versus the 3-5 months durability for 845. 845 is easier to apply and remove and will leave behind a higher gloss. Overall great products, but very different than each other. Fusso is one of the absolute kings of beading - not many will prove to be as hydrophobic.

      I'm mostly working with the foam based yellow applicators, I bought a ton of these for testing. I'll use the blue microfibers on products where they're recommended like the Opti-Seal types, and Ultima Paint Guard Plus.

      You're not alone, a lot of people have had wipe off issues with Fusso Coat but I'm not sure if it's something unique to the Dark version alone versus the Light. I looked well with the Astro light when applying and removing and didn't see anything coming up, I will have to take a closer look because I am hearing some negative feedback from many different sources.

    • @kiddkai
      @kiddkai 7 років тому

      WaxMode I looks good when I just wipe it off, but when I took a look in direct sunlight, I saw the streaks. Then I polished it out using LC Orange pad+s20(maybe to aggressive) and prep and reapply it again, still streaking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . BTW, what paint cleanser you recommend that could strip out fusso coat without polishing, fusso seems pretty strong against my washes and diluted degreasers.

    And which wax would work better with Fusso Coat?

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому +3

      I would maintain Fusso with a spray product, something like Ultimate Quik Wax that's not as heavy and won't completely cover up it's performance. If you apply a heavy wax on top of Fusso you will cover up the properties of Fusso that make it really fun to work with. So just be aware of that, it's fine to apply waxes or sealants on top of Fusso but I would not apply Fusso to the paint first with the intent of quickly applying a heavier wax on top.

      What do you think of combining Fusso with Collinite 845 as in the Power Lock+845 combo? Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance. Great video and channel! Greetings from the UK.

    • @2010stoof
      @2010stoof 5 років тому

      @@JWL-UK never hurts to try. Collinite may not bond well. Sometimes sealant and waxes just don't work well together. Never hurts to try though. Definitely give the fusso enough time to fully bond after buff off though.
      If it doesn't work out, you can always do a light polish to remove everything.

    • @WaxMode

      It has not been a difficult sealant to work with at all for me, some products will be easier but Fusso has been applying on and off well. I will note that I'm working on freshly polished paint so this is going to give me that super smooth surface for the products to spread and buff off nicely.

    i tried this wax about 3 months ago and liked it very much, but... I prepped this car as best i could with a wash with wash+ from meguiars and an ipa wipe down and klean prep-all spray. Beading and protection seemed great, but only after a month and maybe two rain storms, I noticed some spots were worn away. I thought it was surface dust so I washed the car after the rain storm with ph neutral soap, but it was clear the wax had worn off in roughly 1' x 1' area around the bumper and hood. I'm not sure how else to create adhesion or if the wax can't stand Colorado weather. Any thoughts?

    • @timothyvu7006
      @timothyvu7006 6 років тому

      With the amount of prep required and still not getting durability past a month, would it be better to use meguiars fast finish or something equivalent and just reapply after every wash?

      Wash+ is sort of like a clay step in that it is supposed to scrub away bonded contaminants with abrasives, but I agree, a contaminated surface could be partially to blame.

    Hey can you ever do anything like mothers products, griots garage or nu finish?

    • @WaxMode
      @WaxMode  7 років тому

      I've worked with Nu Finish Paste, since I was testing it on the paint that was highly polished it actually reduced the clarity of the paint slightly. Heavy solvent smell as well and fairly mild water behavior, so the heavier sealants like Hi-Temp and Fusso, and waxes like Collinite are a joy to work with and have much more of a "wow factor". I have some Griot's Garage products, the new Best of Show Liquid and Paste versions I'm a huge fan of. Need to free up some more time to get some more videos up.
