Living in Sweden. Used this in early May 2020 on my black Porsche. Applied it basically according to this video though I did not polish. Still, the result was amazing. The black metallic looked like watching the sky a clear winters night. I wash and dry off the car throughly once a month ending with that fusso detailer and sometimes a quick 'touchless' wash in between (only pre wash foam, no schampoo and no drying). The water more or less floats off the car on the drive home from the garage anyways. I use the car every day in all weathers. Now, in November, the effect starts to wear off a bit but also the car is fairly dirty all the time due to its daily use. During winter I switch to a regime where I end every wash with the Maquires Hybrid Ceramic Wax Detailer, mainly because it is easy to apply and gives a 'good enough' result for a daily driver. Unfortunaletly I will have to remove the product before full 12 months has passed as some kids made some severe scratches on the car that I will need to polish away (don't park a slighly dirty Porsche outside a school for too long.)
I run a dealership and after watching this video we tried this. We apply it to every new and used cars we sell now. We also offer Simoniz glasscoat and honestly I don't see much difference in the final look. We see these cars for oil changes throughout the life of the car. So far every car that's come back the Fusso coat is as strong as the day we applied it. We add Speed & Barrier when they are back as well. Thanks Pan
I'm a big fan of Fusso Coat - I still have the older formulation but am looking forward to trying the new one. When it's time to swap wheels (summer/winter) I clean the rims thoroughly and treat them with Fusso Coat before putting them in storage. A quick refresh before re-mounting them 6 months later and they stay easy to clean and look like new. A simple trick to save work on cleaning. All the best, Rob in Switzerland.
@@PanTheOrganizer A bit into detailing, but now I was looking for some fine comparison of Fuso Coat Black and White. Now I will jump into your channel more often. Really fine piece of news presented in an interesting way. Cheers from Poland ;)
I also have the dark Fusso coat at Home and yes the Product is really good BUT it is really really important to know that this isnt a Product for beginners! No matter how good you prepare the paint, you still have a High risk that you will have cloudy shadows on your paint which are Not easy to remove. This Happens really fast if you only use a little bit too much of the product or let it dry too long on the paint. You should only use this product if you have a Lot of experience with these kind of products ☝
I have used this product on my white car at home and I really recommend this from soft 99. I am really happy with this especially living in wet rainy days in Ireland 👌 great protection and great value for money
Just applied a very thin layer of Fusso Coat to my car a few days ago. After around 5 mins, they are very easy to buff off, and now the surface is very water repellent indeed. Followed Pan's instructions to prep the car and hopefully the coat will last. Thanks Pan! 😁
@@haikalhisyam9786 Hi Haikal! If your car is always outdoors in a tropical country (Malaysia? Just guessing, haha), and gets exposed to the occasional rain, bird droppings, dust etc, I guess the wax would stay on for around a month or two, and then the water sheeting ability will be reduced. My car is mostly indoors (>95% of the time, serious) and a quick rinse still cleans my car quite nicely, which is after 5 months since the last I applied it. 😁
Another great video Pan! According to the reviews and of course your opinion, I am going to purchase this product as I am old school and like paste wax. I am also pleasantly surprised on the price for this product which makes it cost efficient.
Mr. Pan, it took me 3 afternoons, but i finally finished my 5 step detailing process!!! I used the Maxshine M8S V2 and that thing is badass considering it's $135. First time ever using a DA. I had SOOO much fun. Just finished buffing off my last panel after applying Fusso Coat. Can't wait to see what it looks like the next time i take it out of the garage. Couldn't have done any of this without you man. I can't begin to thank you enough for these videos and all the comment replies. I will definitely be a faithful subscriber for life!
That's awesome dude!! I always like to hear back from my viewers who actually love taking care of their car, and who did it DIY style! It's so soothing and relaxing to detail, but also when you see the results YOU DID through your hands, it's so rewarding!! Good pick on one of the best paint sealants too. That should last 6-12 months depending on your conditions and maintenance. If you ever feel you need more gloss and slickness, you can always apply a carnauba wax on top, or a spray like P&S Bead Maker or Gyeon Ceramic Detailer!
@@PanTheOrganizer Absolutely Pan. To see the results and know the results came from yourself is very rewarding. And thanks for the tip. That was going to be my next question. As I really only have time to do this process once a year, I will definitely need something to help me extend the protection into next summer.
Ten years ago I worked at a tunnel car wash. We had a customer come through and the water jumped off his paint - even after coming through multiple times. I asked him what he used, and he said Collinite 476. Our manager used the original blue Turtle Wax Ice Paste, and still had beading through the winter on everything except the lower rocker panels.
Hi Pan, top video as always. Loved the original Fusso especially after allowing it to cure then adding Soft99 King of Gloss. Would love to see a vs match between Bilt Hamber Double Speed, Swiss Wax and Collnite.
Been using this product for around 5 months, I work as a courier driving around 1000 miles a week on average. After the initial coating I wash my van ( or just jet wash off excess dirt ) every morning and am still getting extremely hydrofobic action. Won't be using anything else but this. Thanks for another great review Pan 👍🏽
I need to say that this wax has hydrophobic properties like a ceramic coating. It is insane. As for the gloss, its pretty much like any other quality wax. If it will last a quarter from what they advertise, it will be awesome!

I used Bilt Hamber clay bar on my 2003 Mercedes S600 followed by Dodo Juice Lime prime applied with my Dodo Juice Buff Daddy DA buffer and a Microfibre buffing pad. Then one application of the new formula dark Fusso Coat. In Ireland we have lots of rain and dirty roads this time of year. It was back in September I applied the Fusso coat and although it is a weekend car it is only this past weekend It needed washing again! The water sheeting and beading is incredible and the finish by a DIYr on an old car with original paint looks amazing to me. There are very short videos on my channel of the water sheeting action on my S600 for anyone curious
just got this today! cant wait to apply it, what im really wondering though is which formula is more durable, everyone else around in youtube seems to say the old formula was so much better, you seem to claim the new is the same or slightly more durable... Nevertheless, even if it is not as durable, it seems to be a fact that this new formula is slightly more glossier and slicker than the old formula!
Old or new, both last 9-10 months in my conditions, so it’s one of the best regular sealants on the market. And that’s in my harsh Canadian weather. Some viewers in more gentle climates reported 10-12 months durability with proper maintenance.
Hey Pan! I have a question. I've seen never wet spray for industrial purposes how it looks. And it's uuultra hydrophobic. But I haven't seen it on a car. Would you like to test it one day? I'm interested if, it attacks the paint perhaps and if it's really better than a ceramic coating for example. Have a nice one
Soft99 Authentic carnauba wax is crazy good too. Tons of gloss and it managed 4 months on my wife her mazda 2 during winter. It was only a west European winter and not a crazy Canadian one though. ;)
Another outstanding well detail video!!! I always wondered about this product. Btw.. just got a couple of the new hybrid products Yesterday by TW. And my Flex 3401 is on order. Thanks again Pan!!
Based on a few reviews (and especially this video) I laid down a layer of Fusso Coat on my silver CLS at the weekend. Very easy to apply and work with. I'm impressed so far. I'm hoping it will get me through the UK winter.

@@PanTheOrganizer I noticed your channel when I was looking around to get info on how to get a clean glossy shine on my Tesla. Right now all I'm using is Mr.Pink shampoo and beadmaker. I really have no idea what I'm doing, that's why I watch you !!
Two totally different product categories... The Ceramic Spray Coating is an SiO2 infused spray on sealant... This Fusso Coat is a PTFE based paste sealant/wax... Both should last many many months.
Thanks for a great video and awareness of this brand. I've used the old formula and it lasted well past 12 months on a garaged '14 Lincoln MKS. Similar durability for a a daily driver '01 Volvo wagon.
@@J1Z06 Hey, yes it is garaged. I wash probably once every 3 weeks or so. It really does last a long time in our conditions. (Northern CA, not too hot or cold) Though I will say it finally showed some signs of less beading, but seems to still have some life left.
Soap A thanks for the reply. keep it glossy and protected. sounds like a good all around situation. a good location, frequent washing’s, no harsh weather. nice!!!
Pan, I was curious about which one step polish you were using in this video. I sure allowed for a large working area. Also, here’s another vote for Soft99 vs. Colinte 845. Keep up the wonderful content!
Tried the new Russo Coat soft 99 Dark on a black toyota FJ and it Was unbelievable. The customer loved the look and the skickness. Also got the light virson and it also works great. Thanks man for the tip and video about this product.
If you see oxidation, swirls, scratches, etc then yes. If the paint is still in perfect condition (which I doubt it will be) than I would go through rounds of decontamination and at least a light single step polish to exfoliate the paint and prep the surface. The more time you spend prepping the surface before the application of a paint protectant, the better the product will perform and the longer it will last.
Pan, when you first held the tub up to the camera I thought that tub of wax will last ages and then you removed the lid to reveal a thick sponge and then the true amount of product within the tub! Keep up the great work and happy Christmas.
Hi Pan, great video as always. It would be interesting to see how this compares against Swissvax Shield. I believe it’s also PTFE based, but it is much more expensive than Fusso Coat.
This stuff is incredible using it with glaco the car is just bead heaven my favourite wax to date gloss isn't up there with ceramic coatings but its enough for a mirror shine which is awesome from a ptfe based wax
The old formula got knocked for not having that much gloss. Would you say this beats the old formula in gloss? Also can a spray on top coat be applied if I want more gloss?
I detailed My best bud's 1998 green BMW528i a few weeks ago. I did a one step with a 3401,3D one, ipa, then dark soft99. I washed it an hour ago and was amazed by the water beading! this is VERY good stuff for not a lot of money! They definitely got it right with this product! I am excited to see how long it lasts. I topped it with beadmaker! love that stuff! I am hoping it still beads after Winter ends.

Kobie Buenaobra for glass, there is another product called as glaco from soft99.. get the ultra glaco which is for 12months protection.. the chemical is crazy, makesure you have a glove on..
Hi Pan, I recently bought the new fusso coat, and at first I was not very happy with it. Turns out.....I put a little to much on the car. If you put just a little on the put, you'll be fine, but if you put to much on the paint, you get strange spots in the shine, like clouds. I removed the layer with IPA, and started over, and the second time i got it right.
Thanks for this review, Pan! What's your input on applying this direct without any polishing or removal of old wax? Thinking of trying this on my car on which I recently used Mother's carnauba wax.
Well you can use this on top of a ceramic coating. Just know that this is not a summer wax since it tends to be sticky for dust. So you get a dusty car very easily using this wax.
Thanks Paul! Yeah this is as good as it gets for a regular (i.e. non ceramic) sealant. I get 10 months of real world durability out of it on average, including going through our harsh Canadian winters, so it’s super durable. Soft99 also has amazing glass sealants! Look into their Glaco line, especially the Ultra Glaco. I hope you’re doing well. Cheers!

Hey Pan..awesome vidoe as always. Never fail to disappoint. I have the previous formula of Fusso99. I just like to ask, I don't like wipping with hand can I buff my car using a buff machine with Fusso?
Yes you can apply it with a DA polisher if you want. But hand application is the best method with this product. Thanks for the kind words about my videos. Happy holidays!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks so much Pan. You the best man. I will use my DA polisher for polish products and use hand wipe off for soft99. Thanks! Happy Holidays
It should be about the same overall durability, maybe a slight edge to Fusso Coat I’ll have to see in long term testing. But better hydrphobics with Fusso Coat for sure.
You only polish if your paint needs correction. If you use safe washing and drying methods, you should not have the need to polish your paint for a few years. I had my Porsche 911 Turbo S for three years, and only polished it once when it was brand new, before the ceramic coating application, and never had to polish it again for three years. Paint was flawless. So 8-12 months after you applied Fusso Coat, you could in theory just wash the car, use an iron remover to remove brake dust, see if it needs claying, and if the paint looks good, you can skip polishing, and just reapply a fresh layer of Fusso Coat.
Hi Pan, great video. Question I have is do you throw away the applicator after each use? Or just wash and dry the one it comes with? Also do we throw out the microfiber cloth or can we wash it and reuse it?
I tried it yesterday on a black paint so I had a chance seeing what I am doing . I applied too thick ofc , went on cleaning the garage and tools and when i wiped it the thin parts were effortless but the thicker parts it was pretty much impossible to remove ... you gotta have a really outstanding lightning for this since it is very hard to see where you passed ...
Pan, I love your channel! Lots of knowledge for sure! I recently put fusso coat on my truck and I’m literally blown away! Out of all the waxes and sealants I’ve used over the years, this is the best! I’m wondering what is a product I could use to maintain the coating? Like an sio2 spray or should I use their speed and barrier? My go to sio2 is technicians choice. But I don’t want ruin the hydrophobic properties of the fusso coat. Fusso coat has way better hydrophobic properties than technicians choice by far. Also should if the coating gets clogged like a ceramic coating would it be ok to use a iron remover on the fusso coat? Thank you for your videos and your help!
Also pan, so it’s ok to use the dark version on a white car? I bought the dark version for my truck and my wife’s car is white. I’d rather not have to buy the light version for her car

I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. As FUSSO is more of a traditional sealant, I wouldn't necessarily recommend SiO2 toppers on it, as chemical compatibility hasn't been proven. You certainly could try. twist i had done that.. bad idea.. the windscreen wiper will give a loud screeching noise because of the rough surface it creates.. get the soft 99 ultra glaco.. its for 12months protection for windshields glass..
Thank you for the detailed explanation and review of the new product. I have had the previous version of the Fusso Coat and tried using on my 86 with mica black paint. It turns out to leave a lot of residue/ wax marks after wiping off completely. May I know how do we get over with it ?

I see that most UA-cam Detailers tape off trim and certain parts of the car while you typically don’t. I’d like to know if in this instance you didn’t tape off because it’s not a super valuable car, or non-staining trim, or some other reason. I want to do a 2 step correction in the spring, and don’t know how extreme should I go with taping off things. Maybe this could become a video of “How to tape for paint correction” or a “How to prepare for paint correction” with a section in the video on taping. Thanks!
You should tape. I have 22 years of experience and sometimes don’t as I know to avoid trim. But in some videos like the black BMW M3 I detailed, you see me tape trim for good practice.
Hello Pan Very good channel, good clear explanation. Also ordered Soft99 FUSSO COAT this weekend. M curious. I ordered the dark version. I just don't know what FUSSO means by dark and light. My car is dark gray, assume that the dark version is suitable for this? However, I see that you also include the headlights. Can this wax also be used on plastic? I see you don't mask off the rubbers. Can you easily remove it from the rubbers? As for cleaning after polishing: do you use 50% Isopropanol - IPA - Isopropyl alcohol - 99.9% mixed with 50% demineralized water?
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on UA-cam as we surpassed 1 million subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. To answer your questions: 1) Dark version is meant for darker colors (black, dark grey, brown, dark blue, etc) and light is meant for light colored cars (white, silver, red, etc). But don't overthink the moment. Any version will still work on any color car. The differences are very hard to spot. 2) You can apply this on headlights, but don't apply this to plastic trim that is not painted. And be careful not to go over plastics as this could leave white residue that is hard to remove. This is a very durable paint sealant. After polishing, I prefer using a ready-to-use paint prep solution like CarPro Eraser, Gyeon Prep, DIY Detail Panel Prep, etc. If you want to make your own IPA solution at home, I have a tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/OLqSdQtoND4/v-deo.htmlsi=CZGTiow1PO-bMR4H
If you are looking into getting a hand applied sealant/wax, they don’t get more durable than this. I easily get 9-10 months of protection with this and many of my viewers in warmer climates get up to one year.
Hi Pan a big supporter of your channel here from Belgium, I already coated some of my cars with all the carpro products which are clearly very great. Buty garage has no ventilation and i dont feel comfortable applying more ceramic coatings to my cars. I am now running a supra mk4 in black it has only 43000km on the clock and is from 1993, it was a barn find. Now I am trying to correct the paint as it was in pretty bad condition. I am looking forward to use this product, but was wondering once the product is stopped working after 9 months or so what should i do? Should i do a new paint correction? Cause in that case I am always taking of a little bit more of the clearcoat..?
Hey Pan, another great video. Is the machine polishing stage essential? I dont detail for work, only as a hobby and I have never done machine polishing and dont want to damage my car but interested in applying this wax. Thanks
Pan, this looks Great. Will this stay brilliant if our vehicle goes thu our high end brushless car wash? They apply 3 types of cleaner, polish, wax fluids.
I don’t recommend that people use automatic car washes as they use harsh chemicals that can degrade paint protection quickly. So if you have no other choice, just keep in mind Fusso Coat won’t last as long. Just reapply a fresh cost when you see the hydrophobics starting to diminish.
I have used this on my windshield but I would not use it on side windows. The product will build up in the window seals when you lower the side windows and squeaks on bumps when driving. It will build up on wipers also but this is not really a problem. Water will fly off your windscreen at certain speeds.

This is much better but follow the directions carefully...dry no more than 5 min before removal!!!!!!
@@mynsxt6 - I've heard the horror stories about letting dry too long/too thick a coat. Same with my Meguiar's M16!
Hi Pan, top video as always. Loved the original Fusso especially after allowing it to cure then adding Soft99 King of Gloss. Would love to see a vs match between Bilt Hamber Double Speed, Swiss Wax and Collnite.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing!
I need to say that this wax has hydrophobic properties like a ceramic coating. It is insane.
As for the gloss, its pretty much like any other quality wax. If it will last a quarter from what they advertise, it will be awesome!
I consistently get 9 to 10 months of protection with this.
@@PanTheOrganizer Pan, could I use carpro reset to maintain the wax coating?

Very informative Pan! You have supported me when I chose Soft99 Fusso Glass Coat for my windshield. It survives 6 months through the rain in Vietnam.
Great video as always Pan, Happy Holidays! Greetings from L.A, California 😎
Thanks Charles!
That stuff looks really good!! Thanks for the helpful video Pan
Thanks Andy!
just got this today! cant wait to apply it, what im really wondering though is which formula is more durable, everyone else around in youtube seems to say the old formula was so much better, you seem to claim the new is the same or slightly more durable...
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you for still keeping up and responding. This also answer my question
Oh you got some nice goodies there!!

Based on a few reviews (and especially this video) I laid down a layer of Fusso Coat on my silver CLS at the weekend. Very easy to apply and work with. I'm impressed so far. I'm hoping it will get me through the UK winter.

How does this compare to turtle wax ceramic spray coating
Fusso is better but turtle wax spray is so easy to apply and quick..
This last much longer, and has better properties.
Harder to apply. Since it's paste form and finicky.
I applied the original version on my wife’s MDX back in August. Today it still performs and beads the same, it’s ridiculous.
Yup. Pretty tenacious wax!

is it garaged? how frequently is it washed? that's a good long time for the wax to last!! nice!
@@J1Z06 Hey, yes it is garaged. I wash probably once every 3 weeks or so. It really does last a long time in our conditions. (Northern CA, not too hot or cold) Though I will say it finally showed some signs of less beading, but seems to still have some life left.
Soap A thanks for the reply. keep it glossy and protected. sounds like a good all around situation. a good location, frequent washing’s, no harsh weather. nice!!!

Hello Pan, after 10 months when you would like to re-apply it, the polishing stage is a must or not?
Nyet
Only if it’s needed. This wax should protect your paint from having to do so, but, it’s hard to give a firm yes/no answer. It really does depend.

There is no easy way for durable sealants like this. Machine polishing is the only way to ensure 100% removal if you want to fully strip it away.
Hi Pan I want to see a challenge match between this fusso wax against the best swiss vax wax.

So the light version is for white cars and dark version for dark coloured paints?
Light version for light colored cars (white, yellow, beige, light grey, etc). Dark for dark colored cars (black, charcoal grey, forest green, etc).
this is by far the most durable wax i have old fusso which is fantastic. It beads like crazy and durable about 8-9 monts
👍🏻
Thanks for this review, Pan!
What's your input on applying this direct without any polishing or removal of old wax? Thinking of trying this on my car on which I recently used Mother's carnauba wax.
Could you use this as a top-up on a ceramic coating? Great video btw!
Well you can use this on top of a ceramic coating. Just know that this is not a summer wax since it tends to be sticky for dust. So you get a dusty car very easily using this wax.
What products do u use for polishing before fusso coating?
I have and have used the previous product by Fusso and love it, can't wait to try this. Thank you, Pat. Happy Holidays to everyone.

Hello can it be apply on plastic and glass ? Can we use it for the interior on the door (door seal). Thank you
Just for paint
Hi Pan, thanks for your videos, i love them. Does Fusso give more durability and gloss than Menzerna and Collonite?
It should be about the same overall durability, maybe a slight edge to Fusso Coat I’ll have to see in long term testing. But better hydrphobics with Fusso Coat for sure.
Hello Pan, can Fusso coat be used also for the plastic parts and headlights? Thank you for the advise.
Soft99 only talks about painted surfaces for this.
Amazing coat! So we need to polish every 8-12 months to reapply it right?

You clean it with warm water and an APC and reuse it. Wash the microfiber towels after use no need to throw them away.
Been using these for a couple years customers love it

Yes
I tried it yesterday on a black paint so I had a chance seeing what I am doing .

As FUSSO is more of a traditional sealant, I wouldn't necessarily recommend SiO2 toppers on it, as chemical compatibility hasn't been proven. You certainly could try.

Does it provide protection from bird droppings and can it be applied on windows and plastics??

To answer your questions:
1) Dark version is meant for darker colors (black, dark grey, brown, dark blue, etc) and light is meant for light colored cars (white, silver, red, etc).

Thanks
@@DetailGuruAlek Thanks for the reply mate
Pan, this looks Great. Will this stay brilliant if our vehicle goes thu our high end brushless car wash? They apply 3 types of cleaner, polish, wax fluids.
I don’t recommend that people use automatic car washes as they use harsh chemicals that can degrade paint protection quickly. So if you have no other choice, just keep in mind Fusso Coat won’t last as long. Just reapply a fresh cost when you see the hydrophobics starting to diminish.
Hey Pan, love ur videos. Is the fusso coat safe for the windshield and glass also.
Thanks Julian!
I have used this on my windshield but I would not use it on side windows. The product will build up in the window seals when you lower the side windows and squeaks on bumps when driving. It will build up on wipers also but this is not really a problem. Water will fly off your windscreen at certain speeds.
