Most rpgs out there will punish you for skipping all the side quests and just barreling forward with the main quest. D4 will almost punish you if you don’t do this. I went full completionist on my play through and hit level 50 about half way through the second act. I then spent the next 2 days of my play time slogging through the rest of the story and getting almost no xp because paragon levels take a LOT more xp to get through than 1-50, you get very little xp on normal compared to nightmare and you can’t set the game to nightmare difficulty without completing the story. I’m not saying don’t do any of the side stuff, I’m saying make sure you finish the story before you hit 50.
Yeah I made a mistake myself, I'm lvl 53 Druid and about to done with Act 3 quest. I was focused doing most of side quests in Act 1 and 2 alongside with finding all locations on map, finding all Altars of Lilth, clearing out Strongholds and unlocking all Waypoints. So right now I gotta focus on Act 3-6 quests and saving side quests later but still will find all locations, altars, and waypoints (unless one is locked behind stronghold) alongside the way and then doing Stronghold last after I finish the Act quest in that area.

Yeah a few people have done the t4 one which is recommended for lvl 70 at 50 with certain builds. Doable, but not for the majority of players I would say.

End-game from 70-100 is a complete chore, even more than D2. Auto-scaling content doesn't add to the power level at all. I've found plenty of BIS Ancestral legendaries somewhere around lvl 76-80ish and still using them, however despite them being legit OP (max roll on all needed stats that are key to my build) you wont be feeling more powerful at all. Nightmare dungeons sometimes are completely bullshit, they supposed to be your "neverending grind" but damn, how the hell you will be doing keys that have magic immune affixes as a Sorc who doesn't have any phys dmg. That forces you to reroll/reforge new keys, those require materials and gold, late keys require absurd amount of that specific material that you get from salvaging other keys. So often I would simply spent hours to just roll normal key that I can do without spending 3 hours to clear a dungeon. World bosses are lame af, they take no brains to kill, mechanics are slow and repetitive, each boss has like only 2-3 of them. Dungeons are all copy pasted (legit sometimes you would pass through 3-5 rooms of the exact same design in a row), objectives in dungeons are dumb and add nothing to the gameplay, they are just your time sink. There are like 10 bosses in all 120 dungeons that get repeated without adding anything new (no new mechanics/phases/abilities ) no bosses get mixed with each other (like dual/tripple boss encounter from different dungeons). Overall guys don't be stupid as I was, don't buy this game now (or if you did pre-order like I, then just refund asap) wait until a huge discount. One thing I would mention as well is farming in pvp zones - there's plenty of elites/stacks of monsters to kill and 95% of the players are not bloodmarked, so they can't attack you. You can get great loot there most of the time and you get more andrenaline while doing so))
Hm, I always blood mark when going in, most people aren't prepared to PvP and are free loot. @HarmonicGray lol, I hate PVP but that's the point of PVP 😂😂😂 I do go in but I know I'm going in at my parel... ohhh just realize I can PVP with my daughter just to the reward for it!😅
If you have a decent build and know what you are doing, you can go for lvl 70 capstone at around lvl 60 and change to t4 for ascestral gear. Pro tip: item rolls are based on item power so with this knowledge if you get a sacred 695 you can upgrade to lvl 5 or 700 upgrade to lvl 4 to get to 720. Why 720? Because that is the breakpoint for entry lvl ancestral bracket of rolls so technically you have ancestral gear but they sacred 😅 once they obtain the 720 item power all of the subfixes will upgrade to ancestral brackets If you have wepons and chest and pants at that power you can easily do lvl 70 capstone at 60 and go to the juice t4. Staying in t3 for to long will slow your progress by quite a bit and tbh t3 is boring compared to t4.
Idk about that. Maybe very class/build dependent. I can't get past Elias as a really geared pulverize dr00d at lvl60. Pretty much one tapping most things at T3, but that boss just does too much unavoidable damage at 60 in my case.
@@MarkDrisch drink the 30% hp elixer + armor incense, use some tanky items, there is no enrage timer that I've seen so no dps check just survival. Tbh the boss is 100x harder then what u will face in t4 early while you farm ancestral so getting past it, it's very rewarding. I've died about 20 times on my lvl 60 sorc till I've done it but it was fun. Obviously don't try this on HC 😅
I would say once you finish the campaign go ahead and give the Cathedral dungeon a shot even below 50. I was 47 on my rogue and it was frantic, challenging, died once because I was stupid, but I completed it. If it's too much then level and come back.
Same I did at lv 46, also a rogue I didn't struggle too bad, it's probably build dependent. I feel like my build is all over the place but I managed to do it without dying, came close a few times tho. Twisted blades build has high dmg bursts around 2-6k dmg burst. Idk it wasn't that bad for me. I even tried helltide but there I did died due to being jumped by lv 53 elites... Doing in group is doable, my dmg is not too Bad considering, but just can't stay alive with so many mobs hitting at once.
What's weird for me is that I jumped up to tier 3 and started finding unique legendaries, but I have yet to replace any of my tier 1 gear yet. 2 tier jump and a unique modifier and the gear is just slightly higher in attack but worse stats. Kinda disappointing.
Just hit 50 and rolling a barrier sorceress build. My defensive build allows me to stay put and rotate barriers to pump out damage and not take damage.
I hope things take a turn for the better after I hit level 50 at 46 with a barbarian I've already beat the cathedral, I feel like there's not any reason to play it anymore after the campaign other than trying to reach 100 and better gear. I hate talking bad about this game in any kind of way because it was such a good game but after I've completed all the seasonal stuff and the cathedral I just found myself getting really bored trying to make it to 50. I know when I hit 50 then the Paragon opens up so maybe that will give me some motivation to play it.
First off, let me say this - I am a casual gamer. i try to follow build guides as much as my understanding of them allows. My biggest frustration with D4 so far is the immense leap in difficulty moving up from World Tier 1. I have a 50 sorc and 51 druid and I easily went through the content on WT1. Chain lightning demolished everything, WT2 capstone was a breeze with the sorc. WT3 kicked my azz. My druid is following pulverize build - I know its not the best for lvling but I didn't want to have to refarm a lot of gear to switch builds once I got to WT3. The first problem was when I got to WT3 on Sorc, CL tickled the mobs and I had to switch out. I ended up going Ice Shard - big mana problems and end up running for my life/ kiting until enough mana to blast. Not that bad, just sucks never having the mana to make the build work. Druid - I could not even kill the Capstone boss on WT2. The build is whack whack whack with Maul until I have enough spirit for a few pulverizes and generally dodging the numerous ground effects that are constantly being thrown at me. The problem I have is with the gearing of these chars...very few videos that I have come across explain the constant decision making that needs to be done on when to upgrade a specific piece of gear. A lot of my gear were rare and then made into legos with imprinting. What is happening is that I am finding higher lvl items with higher armor value, but the stats on the item suck compared to what I already have on (not even considering the lego aspect). At what point should I upgrade to the higher item/armor value and forgo the stats of my already equipped gear? Any legitimate answers are extremely welcome other than "get guud" I have played every Diablo game and was very much anticipating D4 only to question how much more I will play due to the World Tier difficulty jump very unapologetically smacking me in the face.
Sounds great! Which build are you using? Level 51 here and struggling A LOT with classic TB in WT3 in hell tides, I’m doing no events there because the elites / bosses are way stronger than me!
I just started playing a month or so ago and just reached level 52 and teir 3 starting to notice the big jump in difficulty. My question is how good is the diablo community? If i were to start looking for a clan and do LFGs what are my chances of finding good players willing to guide and give advice to newer players? Or is it like most games which is 60-70% toxic and the rest are just chill older ppl that don't take the game too seriously but are still good and actually enjoy helping newer players out. Bc i can sit here and watch videos all day long but if I'm just playing solo it's harder to get used to everything bc I'm having to decipher everything they say in the videos myself where as having a better player telling me what's what while we're doing the actual objectives or missions is like going hands on and makes learning that much faster and easier to understand.
Thanks for the tips! just finished the campaign at level 44 on only tier 1, havent experienced dying yet! lol. so will go up a tier with the tips you have showed.
You can only go to tier 3 after you're done with your campaign and you complete a specific dungeon (capstone), regardless of your level. Any new character you create, after completing the campaign one time, can go to tier 3 and 4 at any moment (even level 1), as long as you either complete or skip the campaign, and do the capstone dungeon.
If you're in the game for the long run, trying to hit lvl 100, you obviously need gear to get there, but is it a waste of time to spend resources re rolling or upgrading items, or save it all to make your highest level equipment perfect
Immensely helpful. I got into the end game yesterday I was having a really bad time. The game does nothing to explain to you what happens after, and I got overwhelmed and frustrated.
When is a good time to actually invest into your build?? I'm level 55 Rogue, I find Tier 3 quite easy and I've been doing a decent amount of farming. I have sacred Aspects and a load of great rolled Aspects for my desired build. I have many Gems and all that good stuff. I'm just worried about investing into my Sarced Legendaries too early and wasting my gear..
I'm amazed that less than 24 hours from the official release of the game, people are like "ok, I already completed the game and don't know what to do, let's squeeze the endgame"
Cheers, thanks. I recently wrapped up the story and did the capstone dungeon, did some tree of whispers and helltide, about to jump into my first nightmare dungeon. Been enjoying the ice shards Sorc.
its like we are gna accumulate the gear and look for even bbetter gear by doing harder and higher difficulty dungeons........... i want to know, what is that for ? is there anything we should get or do after it ?
Thanks for this summary. Really concise and clear. Having a good time in Tier 1 but already was starting to wonder, "what does this all lead to in Tiers 3/4".
When i finish the main campaign, then i know what the story is and quit it. It doesn't bother me stopping. I did this with the previous Diablo games as well, there's no need for me to go after the best items and become level 100 or whatever paragon 3.000.000.
Getting a rune in diablo 2 was awesome feeling, here getting the best weapon in the game just feels meh. They really should work on how to replcate this feeling of rush when you actually get something nice.
I'm playing a hardcore char for basically the first time, Level 50 blood/minion Necro, and I'm terrified of end game. I've been on WT2 the whole time so I can hold my own, I just defeated Lilith solo and blind, and I'm excited to finally up the difficulty, I'm just scared of getting one shot or something I'm not prepared for killing me. If any other HC player out there have any advice it would be much appreciated?
But what about seasons? I just finished the campaign, and I want to go through all the story / new content. It says there are new questlines on seasonal. I feel kinda down that I have to level an entirely new char to do that
I just switched from keys and mouse to controller...what a difference that made! I usually prefer keys/mice but it's a game changer on this, rogue is now not just viable but fun! :D
Controller is really nice quality of life, however there is one caveat. Movement skills that have a variable range like teleport and leap have a set distance when used on controller, so those classes might not be as easy to use without kb and mouse. Just a heads up. Otherwise I've used mainly controller on PC and it's wonderful.
had the exact same experience, theres a few edge cases, like not being able to perfectly control lunging strike on barbarian, and controlling distance. My gf is already tired of me occupying our living room with my desktop though, so im probably going to switch back :D
for kb+m you have to bind left click to walk/interact rather than basic ability. Honestly it baffles me why every new arpg still binds an attack to left click, its super clunky and feels horrible to play. Thats why controller feels good
Considering monsters scale to you, there is absolutely no point in the end game in my opinion. Why grind to get more powerful and better equipped when the monsters just scale to you anyway? What is the point. Ruins the point of an ARPG where you get to end game and work on improving to be more godlike over the mobs. Basically when you get to end game, what to do is either quit playing or make a new build and start over.
Im in world tier 3, trying to get either the werewolf storm helm, or the Pulverize straight line aspect. Neither will drop to save my life... Done so many helltides ivv lost count, done countless whispers. Im about to just reroll.
Well back in D3 there were a bunch of additional skills for 'sorc' with a 4th damage type called arcane damage which was like usually dark purple themed. Really missing the diversity :/ as well as having 5 modifiers per skill, + more through gear... instead of just 2 and then gear. The skill tree feels so tiny, bet they gonna put additional skills (and classes) behind a paywall later on... Really wish D4 wasn't made by blizzard
@@natesprigg9653 ah ok, well that's good to hear. In my case I haven't played it at all, nor will I ever play it, because it would involve me giving 70$+ to the same snakes that butchered my beloved Overwatch, and left HoTS to die just because they couldn't figure out how to make it big in the Esports scene. Anyways! I shouldn't slam something that others enjoy, I hope you have a good time and that Blizz actually does something right for once.
@@raveturkey1996 it really is worth playing in my opinion. They've done a good job with the amount of content, even though some people feel that the end game is going to be repetitive.
One thing I would add, use 3rd party apps/sites that let you know when world bosses appear, locations of helltide mystery chests and things like that. 👍
I just finished the campaign. What does all the leveling lead up to afterward, just running around killing things aimlessly? I guess that's fun if there's nothing else to play, but I feel like there's no point otherwise. The story is over. Maybe I'm a minority, but I never keep playing a game once the story is done, nor care to replay it over and over. Is the new DLC continuing Neyrelle's story or is it just another region and more cosmetic stuff? And yes, I'm new to Diablo. Never played it until D4.
First time playing diablo this season. Got level 100 and pulled Shako my second duriel ever! Now I have everything for my barb. Grandfather etc idk what I’m suppose to do. Is the game always dry with content for end game? I don’t feel like grinding helltides or Uber bosses anymore. I made a new character and got it level 100. Idk diablo needs more content
So we can kill worldbosses multiple times for legendaries or only each once a week for a big cache? On which day of the week is the Server reset? NA/EU differences?
my necro was my first class and he is at the point now where i'm just leveling because most of my future power will just come from paragon (i'm only missing one unique for full build and most of my legendaries are sacred with desirable rolls/stats). I even beat the WT4 dungeon at level 58 barely, but ancestral items have a minimum level of 60 for even just rares so the extra difficulty isn't even worth it yet. but when i go to level my alts I skipped the campaign and so they are just doing loads and loads and loads of whispers and whatever events are up, but it just feels like they level incredibly slow and really get nothing for their build until like 40. I just wish there was a way to help alts out more, like how in D3 you could make a high level item require level 1 with some effort, or you could maybe have a "levelling outfit" that had exp boosting powers/stats, maybe from a unique elite? or something idk its just sadly slow and its really killing my momentum.
Capstone packed my ass up at level 42. Strolled up in there like a boss thinking the game been pretty weak so far, this ain't gonna undo me. Hoooooooo boy... It's nice being that wrong.

Thx for the advice!

Started playing last week on gamepass. Thanks for the video dude 👍🏻
Very Helpful ! Thank you
I’m confused because my map shows all the altars of Lillith but they all say “claimed” despite me having never touched them?!
I would say once you finish the campaign go ahead and give the Cathedral dungeon a shot even below 50. I was 47 on my rogue and it was frantic, challenging, died once because I was stupid, but I completed it. If it's too much then level and come back.
Theres no way a druid or a barb can complete the dungeon below lvl 50
Same I did at lv 46, also a rogue I didn't struggle too bad, it's probably build dependent. I feel like my build is all over the place but I managed to do it without dying, came close a few times tho. Twisted blades build has high dmg bursts around 2-6k dmg burst. Idk it wasn't that bad for me. I even tried helltide but there I did died due to being jumped by lv 53 elites... Doing in group is doable, my dmg is not too Bad considering, but just can't stay alive with so many mobs hitting at once.
i never did the campaign just got the game few days ago did the dungeon on world tier 2 and i think if i do it again i go to 4
I did the capstone at 45 lvl doesn't matter your bulid does, it's a check and if having trouble you may need to rework a few things
This was a really succinct, well laid out guide. Definitely going to check out what else you have on the game, thanks for the video!
I just love playing games you already have content for.
Thanks. Important information for new players.
Just finished the campaign at Lv49. Great guide bro. Appreciate the info. Subbed
Any legitimate answers are extremely welcome other than "get guud"
I have played every Diablo game and was very much anticipating D4 only to question how much more I will play due to the World Tier difficulty jump very unapologetically smacking me in the face.
I’m having the same issue. Not knowing when to swap out good legendaries that suit my build with rare drops that have about 70+ more damage or armour
Nightmare dungeons are also a great way to farm Uniques !!!
Number 1 source for all things D4!
I just unlocked WT4 at lvl 60 with a rogue. Killing Elias took me 15 tries but it was worth it and I can still oneshot mobs at WT4
Sounds great! Which build are you using? Level 51 here and struggling A LOT with classic TB in WT3 in hell tides, I’m doing no events there because the elites / bosses are way stronger than me!
Can we get a build guide on that nasty looking frozen orb build that was in this video? Looked great and I loved orbs fun factor
D2 vibes =)
It’s my permafrost build, published on blog, UA-cam soon!
I was a bit lost after first Tree cache, so thanks Now i have a clear path to follow. ❤
Can you complete the game at world tier 1 or 2 or do you have to go to world tier 3 at or after level 50?
You can only go to tier 3 after you're done with your campaign and you complete a specific dungeon (capstone), regardless of your level.
Any new character you create, after completing the campaign one time, can go to tier 3 and 4 at any moment (even level 1), as long as you either complete or skip the campaign, and do the capstone dungeon.
The game just launched… end game build videos already ? what do you people do on a day to day basis ?
I was looking for his comment. I downloaded the game and haven't even had a chance to play lol
I wish they'd bring Rifts to Diablo 4. I think I enjoyed it more than what we have now on D4.
If your D4 guides match the quality of your Elden Ring ones, we’re in good hands.
At that point it’s fun to explore and discover stuff for yourself
Can you show like pictures of images of where to find the tree of whispers and stuff?
When is a good time to actually invest into your build??
I'm level 55 Rogue, I find Tier 3 quite easy and I've been doing a decent amount of farming. I have sacred Aspects and a load of great rolled Aspects for my desired build. I have many Gems and all that good stuff.
I'm just worried about investing into my Sarced Legendaries too early and wasting my gear..
invest when you start to struggle, progress through nightmare dungeons as far as you can and if it gets too difficult then start improving gear

Thank god, my brother who has never played Diablo 4, guessed (or somehow knew) that Necromancer is best class, cuzz look at that damage. Daamn.
I just hit 78 and I’m bored to tears … I don’t see myself getting to 100
Thanks for the video. I just hit 50 and I was like "Hmm... What to do now?" And this video was perfect for that
This video is amazing! Thx! So much better than other ones!
As usual, the finest D4 content on YT. Thank you!
I'm amazed that less than 24 hours from the official release of the game, people are like "ok, I already completed the game and don't know what to do, let's squeeze the endgame"
to be fair the game has been out for like a week now
That's just Diablo.. the game doesn't start til endgame
I’m still workin on the campaign I’m almost to act 3
Keep the d4 content coming! Loving it
Cass you the man this guide was very helpful thank you all for everything you do!
Cheers, thanks. I recently wrapped up the story and did the capstone dungeon, did some tree of whispers and helltide, about to jump into my first nightmare dungeon. Been enjoying the ice shards Sorc.
Cheers, thanks.
its like we are gna accumulate the gear and look for even bbetter gear by doing harder and higher difficulty dungeons........... i want to know, what is that for ? is there anything we should get or do after it ?
Thanks for this summary. Really concise and clear. Having a good time in Tier 1 but already was starting to wonder, "what does this all lead to in Tiers 3/4".
Tier I is really just for campaign. Tier III is the game.
I feel kinda down that I have to level an entirely new char to do that
You make excellent videos and explain it so well compared to others. Thanks.
Thank you! Very happy they are helpful
I just switched from keys and mouse to controller...what a difference that made! I usually prefer keys/mice but it's a game changer on this, rogue is now not just viable but fun! :D
Yer Diablo 3 was one of those games that enjoyed playing on console aswell as my PC 👍🏻

Flew through the cathedral of light at 47 as rogue
After that staggeringly EPIC campaign, I'll take a couple days break first before doing the endgame. Whew
Capstone was hard but doable at 45 with decent gear
I’m 38 and melted everything until I got to liliths second form. May have to level a bit to get her just cuz I can’t take a hit
Lol I am 46 level and only in the middle of 2nd act
70 doungen is hard
@@hazzelflex2748 aha yeah tried it at 53, was dying before getting to the boss :P
Helltides is mandatory, I believe as you need some drops to upgrade tier 3 drops.
So you just grind to get better gear to gain access to higher dungeon to grind some more for more gears??
I'm only level 60 and I'm already getting bored. Is that all there is to do? I can't keep doing the same stuff over and over until level 100.
I just wanted to make sure there’s worthwhile content after more or less finishing the game. Sounds pretty good 👍
Considering monsters scale to you, there is absolutely no point in the end game in my opinion. Why grind to get more powerful and better equipped when the monsters just scale to you anyway? What is the point. Ruins the point of an ARPG where you get to end game and work on improving to be more godlike over the mobs. Basically when you get to end game, what to do is either quit playing or make a new build and start over.
agreed
How do you find quick pickup groups and other people to play with on higher difficulties? Or does everyone just solo
How are you seeing stat differences? I’m quitting if I can’t see that.
Im in world tier 3, trying to get either the werewolf storm helm, or the Pulverize straight line aspect. Neither will drop to save my life... Done so many helltides ivv lost count, done countless whispers. Im about to just reroll.
@James Connor wut?
Great video bro, thanks for all the efford!
they should make some sort of dark elemental abilities for the sorcerer
I think it’s called a necromancy?
Well back in D3 there were a bunch of additional skills for 'sorc' with a 4th damage type called arcane damage which was like usually dark purple themed. Really missing the diversity :/ as well as having 5 modifiers per skill, + more through gear... instead of just 2 and then gear.
The skill tree feels so tiny,
bet they gonna put additional skills (and classes) behind a paywall later on...
Really wish D4 wasn't made by blizzard
@@raveturkey1996 there is an unbelievable amount of customization options in D4 compared to D3. Maybe you're playing the wrong game.
Very informative overview, thank you.
One thing I would add, use 3rd party apps/sites that let you know when world bosses appear, locations of helltide mystery chests and things like that. 👍
Great video. I was kind of stuck with what to do next after level 50 and completing the story. Time to get my grind on
I just finished the campaign.
Found this video recently after beating campaign for first time in S4. I found a sacred from the desert church boss in T2. Is that lucky?
Did lv 50 dungeon at lv 41 and lv 70 dungeon at lv 58. Easy with necro
Was just wondering, the only reason we are farming legendary gears is for their stats right? Aspects can be get from dungeons?
I can’t beat last boss of capstone dungeon as barb level 50. Also I only have 6 potions
Hi, try change build on something with sustain, I struggled 1,5 day, few complete build changes , undead potion buff and good attempt will make it go
Go ww

Can you Update this guide So it says the Tide lasts 60 Minutes and will Happen all 2h 15m ?
First time playing diablo this season. Got level 100 and pulled Shako my second duriel ever! Now I have everything for my barb. Grandfather etc idk what I’m suppose to do. Is the game always dry with content for end game? I don’t feel like grinding helltides or Uber bosses anymore. I made a new character and got it level 100. Idk diablo needs more content
So we can kill worldbosses multiple times for legendaries or only each once a week for a big cache?
On which day of the week is the Server reset? NA/EU differences?
I was looking forward to a video like this.
So the campaign ends after Lilith's death and you enf up getting a bunch of Dungeons and Paragons afterwards?
my necro was my first class and he is at the point now where i'm just leveling because most of my future power will just come from paragon (i'm only missing one unique for full build and most of my legendaries are sacred with desirable rolls/stats).
How do I get more intelligence my character is a box of rocks mentally and can’t use the paragon past rank 4
Capstone packed my ass up at level 42. Strolled up in there like a boss thinking the game been pretty weak so far, this ain't gonna undo me.
Hoooooooo boy... It's nice being that wrong.
