Then again at the Global Citizen Concert. I’m forever grateful for my Father and for God for giving me this experience. I can only hope that you guys get to see them as well

I was 12 when the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan Show. So my teen years were the ‘Beatles years’. They were/are my passion. When John Lennon was murdered something died in all of us that loved him. It's mind boggles me how Queen was one of the few bands that actually performed their songs better live than the actual studio albums! And those recordings were simply sublime so hearing Queen live was liking being brought to the gates of heaven

My son Jimmy James left this life at when he was just 23 and it broke my heart. He was a beautiful soul and once said “you should live your life in such a way that if someone said something bad about you no-one would believe it”. I’m still broken but still trying to do good as he used to do. Listening to Freddie sing this always makes me cry and brings me closer to my son. Music like this heals the soul. That's not true, because Freddy himself said that when he sings live, he never go so high with his voice to protect his vocal cords. ;-) But he sings live better than other Musician today can sing in studio - that's a fact.
IMHO, this is the saddest of all songs. I think that there are two reasons why this song has almost 25 million views and why it gets to so many of us. First, I think that we all want to be loved by someone the way Freddie loved Mary. I don't think many of us ever get to really feel that kind of love. We want it. We have an expectation of how it's supposed to feel. But do we have it? To those of you who do, consider yourself richly blessed. Secondly, when he sings: "When I grow older I will be there at your side to remind you how I still love you..." We can hear his love for Mary in his voice and in the crowd's voice; they knew. It's the kind of love most of us only dream of, or have but don't recognize. There is no doubt that Freddie loved Mary, would always love Mary, and really did want to grow old with her, a Robert Browning kind of old: "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be." Although his body felt one way, it was clear that his heart was hers and hers alone and wanted to grow old along with her. But he didn't get to grow older. He was only 45 when he died., and that is just so damn sad for so many reasons. Freddie was a star in life and is now a star in the heavens. In honor of what would have been his 70th birthday in 2016, the International Astronomical Union confirmed that asteroid 17473, a 3.5km-wide ball of black rubble on the other side of Mars, shall henceforth be known as “Freddiemercury.” He'll always be a true rock star.

I've been a guitarist for 20 years. The guitaring in this is so difficult, even just on a 6 string. Brian May pulled this off flawlessly in front of hundreds of thousands on a 12 string acoustic. Amazing.
I’ve been playing for about 4 years. This on a six string is not too difficult in my opinion. But it is for sure harder than it looks. 12 strings is tough though.
No doubt he was named the best guitarist and is still considered as one of the bests of all time. Great is not even a suitable adjective to describe the majestic talent that Queen was.
Two things are unbeatable: Freddie and time..What an electrifying stage presence. AWESOME!! Elvis Presley and Freddie Mercury were the biggest Rock royalty and Rock- n- Roll laureates of all time.

A few singers try, but there is not any comparison. But I feel Rami Malek, that portrayed Freddie in Bohemian Rhapsody, did a fantastic job, and in my heart, I know Freddie's Spirit was with him. Rami certainly deserved the awards that he received, and he didn't try to replace Freddie. Look up Brendon Urie cover Queen songs. Heck, just look up Brendon Urie in general and listen to some of his covers. I'm not saying hes Freddie Mercury, however, Talent exists like this in 2020. No one will ever replace Freddie. But let's not turn a blind eye to the talent that's right in front of us as well :).
It's mind boggles me how Queen was one of the few bands that actually performed their songs better live than the actual studio albums! And those recordings were simply sublime so hearing Queen live was liking being brought to the gates of heaven

My son Jimmy James left this life at when he was just 23 and it broke my heart. He was a beautiful soul and once said “you should live your life in such a way that if someone said something bad about you no-one would believe it”. I’m still broken but still trying to do good as he used to do. Listening to Freddie sing this always makes me cry and brings me closer to my son. Music like this heals the soul. One day I’ll see you again James and look forward to reminding you “I still love you” ❤

IMHO, this is the saddest of all songs.
I think that there are two reasons why this song has almost 25 million views and why it gets to so many of us. First, I think that we all want to be loved by someone the way Freddie loved Mary. I don't think many of us ever get to really feel that kind of love. We want it. We have an expectation of how it's supposed to feel. But do we have it? To those of you who do, consider yourself richly blessed.
Secondly, when he sings:
"When I grow older I will be there at your side to remind you how I still love you..."
We can hear his love for Mary in his voice and in the crowd's voice; they knew. It's the kind of love most of us only dream of, or have but don't recognize. There is no doubt that Freddie loved Mary, would always love Mary, and really did want to grow old with her, a Robert Browning kind of old: "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be." Although his body felt one way, it was clear that his heart was hers and hers alone and wanted to grow old along with her. But he didn't get to grow older. He was only 45 when he died., and that is just so damn sad for so many reasons.

I've been a guitarist for 20 years. The guitaring in this is so difficult, even just on a 6 string. Brian May pulled this off flawlessly in front of hundreds of thousands on a 12 string acoustic. Amazing.

I’ve been playing for about 4 years. This on a six string is not too difficult in my opinion. But it is for sure harder than it looks. 12 strings is tough though.
