Arrested Development is like that. That show is ridiculously well written. Some jokes have punclines episodes/seasons BEFORE the setup. It makes it super rewarding to rewatch and catch all the jokes that didnt make sense the first time
It's nice that Newman thinks of Jerry in this scene: "What about Jerry ?" Perhaps deep down he does care about Jerry and respects his old foe, and desires Jerry be comfortable (via having access to a proper showerhead too)

My grandparents used to have a shower head like that in the guest bathroom. I remember the first time my stepdad stayed the night with my sister and my mom at my grandparents house. I was like 13 and he had never had a shower like that in his entire life and he just went on about it for days how great the shower was because it was more power than he had ever experienced in his life. LOL. Unfortunately my grandparents passed away in 2010 and 2012 and we had to sell the house. :-(

What showers really need, is a separate knob to independently control the flow rate from the temperature.
