My college roommates and I purchased Risk right after this episode. Epic battles were had. Risk trends to bring out some interesting behaviors from people, many of which are embarrassing. Add alcohol to the mix and let me tell you... Actual wars break out.
When I saw this, how they ran down the street and played on the subway, I thought there was a new Risk board with magnetic pieces. I thought it was soo cool, and wanted one. Now I know it was just Hollywood. But I still want one.

The exchange between Kramer and Newman is a great example of their smart acting. We think of them as over-the-top, but they're careful to never upstage each other. They're so deadpan and subdued when the other is talking, so the audience always has their attention in the right place, & the scene plays way funnier than if they were both constantly cranked up to 10. Great example of how comedy isn't just about hitting the punchline, it's also about knowing when to rein things in.
My friends and I play a risk game every month (well, our own custom version) and every game there is at least one point where one guy is standing up yelling "Ukraine not weak, Ukraine strong!"
Jerry and Larry were in control of EVERY detail of the show and it is evident in each episode. Genius. And Jerry was smart enough to realize that he needed to play the straight man in his own show. Casting was impeccable. Thats why they are practically billionaires on syndication alone. Jerry turned down over $100 million for one more season lol. Would be a nice position to be in. So you couple of people go ahead and downplay jerry all you want. As always, the last laugh is his.
I also heard testimony that Jerry would sacrifice his own lines and screen time if they though they could get a bigger laugh from one of the other characters.
What impressed me since the first time I saw this was how Kramer moves/runs around with the game board and the pieces don't move. I finally came to the realization a little awhile ago that they were probably glued to the board.
The fact Kramer can bring the board with him throughout New York City without knocking the pieces everywhere is impressive

What impressed me since the first time I saw this was how Kramer moves/runs around with the game board and the pieces don't move. I finally came to the realization a little awhile ago that they were probably glued to the board.
