(won't share his full name without permission) has prayed for years in the balcony of that Hughes auditorium week by week, sometimes days at a time, for revival to come back to Asbury and college campuses like his. The groundwork was laid. Intercessory prayer is a precursor to revival.

They wouldn't let Tucker Carlson come with cameras either. I was there yesterday and the day before. It is still being lead by students with support of faculty.
These students will be full of joy.

And now, Feb 12 2023, God is in the 80th hour of non-stop Revival once again at Asbury (my Alma Mater), just days before this Collegiate Day of Prayer.
Days before...So interesting isn’t it?
It's uncanny, almost, that this "move" started just a few days before the Collegiate Day of Prayer was announced. It almost seems, dare I say it - planned? Or designed to draw attention and publicity to the CDoP. Weird.

@@tawnidbrot2554 Glad to hear it! It's a life-changing book. Lou Engle highly recommends it as well. Another one that he recommends is "Rees Howells, Intercessor." The Lord dealt with Rees in many strange ways to test him, but he was used mightily during World War 2. His bible college was constantly interceding throughout the war and helped turn the tide in some of the battles.
How very God like that He started this revival on Asbury even before today's Collegiate Day of Prayer.
Francis Chan never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. The video he recorded was an excellent time to preach the gospel of salvation but he didn’t do it because he doesn’t believe it. Same with the Asbury revival that is no revival at all. No one, including Francis Chan, will step up and tell the crowd what the Bible says about salvation.
Nor will they warn of the biggest warnings in scriptures for the last generation:
_In the Bible the only usage of the phrases “in the hand” and “in the foreheads” are all in the Law of Moses and refer to keeping the commandments, statutes, judgments and holy seasons or days given to Israelites in the time of Moses. The first reference is Exodus 13:9 where it states the Days of Unleavened Bread associated with the Passover were given “for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes [in the forehead].”_
_The word “sign” in the above verse is translated “mark” in its second occurrence in the Bible and it refers to the “mark” given to Cain (Genesis 4:15). The biblical definition of the “mark” (or “sign”) in the hand and forehead is associated with holy days on the Mosaic calendar. The next usage refers to the commandments, statutes and judgments that the Israelites were to perform when they entered the land of Canaan._
_“You shall bind them for a sign [or mark] upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes [in the forehead].” Deuteronomy 6:8_

_If we let the Bible interpret the Bible then the MARK (or sign) in the hand and in the forehead of Revelation 13:16-17 refers to the keeping of the Mosaic legislation - its holy day system and regulations for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan. And this is what the Antichrist will subject the world to when he commences his reign in Jerusalem just before the true Second Advent. He will display to the world his supposed divinity, the world will accept it, he will sit himself with great ceremony in the temple at Jerusalem, and then proclaim himself the true divinity come from heaven to reside among men (2 Thessalonians 2:4)._

In Revelation 13 we have the second beast/false prophet who comes imitating the signs of Elijah to do 3 important things the rabbis expect Elijah to do:
1) Renew the Sinai covenant marriage which in the Torah came with sealing the congregation with the mark of the Name of God in the forehead and hand in dedication of thoughts and works through the Aaronic Benediction as symbolized by the tefillin (Mark of the beast);
2) restore the sacrifices which only those in the covenant could participate in with the money-changers and merchants Yeshua threw out (buying and selling);
3) regather and number the tribes in a census as in the books of Numbers and Ezra by heads of family names (number of names/number of men).
These are expected by the rabbis for Elijah to perform before the arrival of their (false) messiah who will enforce the Sinai covenant marriage in defiance of the new covenant marriage announced by Jeremiah who said it would not be like the one at Sinai (Jeremiah 31). Hence, the law is for the lawless (1Tim 1.9) and we know the false messiah is also called the lawless one (2Thes 2.8).

Ending this may be the greatest mistake our country has ever known, but I have no idea - we will see. Lets hope it spreads and doesn't die.
The first impression I get, looking at that announcement of 'Collegiate day of prayer at Asbury' from a few days before God poured out His Spirit on campus is this: That He is disgusted with 'We are going to imitate/enforce what God has done in 1973," and that He may be saying with this outpouring starting without any organisation of men, "Oh, you think you can imitate Me, and deceive this generation? I decide how and what, without known ministers. I will get the credit and no one else.'

Each of these passages that speak of the god/ruler of this world are referring to the devil. God has given the devil reign over this fallen planet for the time being.
To say that satan is the "prince of the power of the air" is to signify that in some way he rules over the world and the people in it.
The ruler/god of this world is satan. God is still sovereign. However, in His infinite wisdom and knowledge He allows satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him, until Jesus returns to right all wrongs and officially take His throne as King of kings and Lord of lords!
Jesus is NOT currently king of this fallen earth. He may be my/our personal king, but he has not taken full authority of this fallen and broken planet, and that my friends is quite obvious with one look around. God has not stripped satan of his rule yet, like I said, that is clear as day. Isn’t it!?!?!?

I wonder if some well off church who has better infrastructure would take over the Ashbury revival so it never has to stop in fact the revival should keep going and not stop only the venue should change for logistical reasons but should have a physical location so people can experience it in public in fact there should be one geographical place where revival is ongoing 24/7 perpetually and churches should pitch in to keep it going for as long as you can and live stream all the time. Some want the physical experience and I think that is important. A revival that NEVER STOPS would be POWERFUL and UNDENIABLE. If you can pull that off you would be unstoppable. You guys can make it happen some of you know logistics and someone has the infrastructure but it should keep going and never stop. take love offerings if you need to but you rich preachers can make this happen Francis Chan Joel Osteen ... Yes! Like the National Day of Prayer, the Collegiate Day of Prayer (CDOP) is an annual thing. Since 1823, the last Thursday on February has been set aside to pray for colleges and spiritual awakening. Last year, the CDOP prayer event was held at Arizona Christian University.

Do we all accept the reality that our local church groups are not on fire for Jesus and not full of the Holy Spirit, and we must wait for a revival to break out randomly and we all can go meet God there? what does that say about all of us as the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ? We must all start a big tent revival right now, right where we are at, and post about it on all social media platforms every day. By the way, the national collegiate day of prayer is coming up on the 23rd of February, and guess who is travelling to Asbury college, Francis Chan and Rick Warren. Hopefully by then, thousands of colleges and even high schools will be engulfed if full Holy Spirit Revival, as well as every single Christian Church. Only through true and strong faith in Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit and complete submission to our Heavenly Father, can a real and lasting revival take place. Praise Jesus.

They will build the Third Temple, for the Antichrist to sit on his throne, and they will implement their Noahide Laws and behead, for idolatry, any Christian who publicly proclaims Jesus as Lord God, King, and Saviour.

Sadly i agree with your assessment, however the theoretical noahide laws (for Gentiles) did not come with a mark in the head and hand, the Sinai covenant did. Also, apparently Tovia Singer admitted the noahide laws are just a bridge to the 613 Mosaic laws. A self-styled Nazarene admitted something similar. Christ warned those in Judea who see the abomination of desolation/idol set up in the temple to flee and pray their flight is not on the *sabbath* which shows it will be strictly enforced under the reign of the AC.

The real test comes when people leave and are faced with realities of life. I think of the visitor to a Quaker worship service who after a long silence asks, “When does worship begin?” To which the Quaker responds, “Worship begins, when we leave this place.”

'Something happened to me' is not a 'testimony.' Tell your real testimony, Francis. You're on UA-cam-- a big audience, a big opportunity to really reach people. Too bad you chose not to.
Next, "I believe we need people praying for God to have mercy on others." Surely you know, Francis, that God has ALREADY 'had mercy on others' in that Christ died for all! And, while we were yet sinners! We pray that others will SEE this and agree with what God says about their personal sin and where it puts every person in relation to God's holiness, and that as a result, they will BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, crucified for their sin and risen from the grave, defeating death and the devil!
I am very trouble to see both Rick Warren and the international House of prayer associated with this. Rick warren flirts with liberalism in many ways, and the international House of prayer is a hyper charismatic organization that has some serious doctrinal issues. Real revival does not ignore biblical doctrine.

The apostle Paul strictly taught that women were not to be pastors per I Corinthians 14 and II Timothy 2. Is this revival involving a correction of this practice, as Asbury, to my knowledge, ignores this Scriptual doctrine.
Remember the Bereans in Acts, who went back to the Scriptures to see whether or not what was taught was true.
Remember how false doctrine is warned against in all but one of the epistles in the New Testament.
Just because there is emotion does not mean a phenomenon is of God.
And any professed movement of God should not be afraid of being doctrinally tested.
One more thing: it’s easy to profess God working when emotionalism takes center stage. The real evidence will be seen when the emotion runs out, and people return to the regular routine of life.
I agree with a lot of what you’re saying but, I don’t agree that this is emotionalism. Yes, I believe in solid biblical doctrine. But not in legalism. Jesus called out the religious Pharisees for doing that. I don’t know about you but a lot of us have been praying for a revival. If you think that praying and worshiping God nonstop is emotionalism, then perhaps you haven’t had an encounter with the living God. But I do pray that for you if you haven’t. Also, in heaven we will be worshiping God for all of eternity… I direct you to Acts chapter 2. When the Holy Spirit filled them, a lot of people thought that they were just drunk. You can think whatever you want, but please don’t get in the way of what God is doing. The devil has been attacking our youth for years now and this is an answer to our prayers. This is happening not just in one college campus but in a couple of other campuses as well… The Holy Spirit is moving. Our country needs a revival and the whole world does too.

Second, Having not been present at anything there, I’m not saying definitively that this is or is not emotionalism. However, I HAVE been in “revival” situations more than once in my life, and let me share with you what happens: a great surge of emotion will come upon people, and people may suddenly begin to become more pious in their Christian lives. They may read the Scriptures more, pray more, be more outgoing about their faith, etc., and all of this is well and good, so long as the emotional feeling is there. But as soon as they lose that feeling, they will panic that they are growing “cold in the Spirit,” not because they are actually doing something wrong, but because they’ve become dependent on that emotional feeling, and they mistake that emotion (the possible RESULT of their spirituality) for the Holy Spirit (which is the CAUSE of biblical spirituality).
I was in a Baptist revival at my high school where nearly the entire student body experienced a strong, emotional change. It lasted---until the emotions stopped. By the end of that school year, things went back to “normal.” I was a part of that, and I made the mistake of trying to recapture the emotional feeling that had come over me. But doing that made me look to myself, not to God, and it had me trusting in what I felt, and not the practice of the Christian faith that I was making a regular part of my daily routine.
I’ll give you another example: when I was in the Assemblies of God. The pastor was a fairly good pastor, and level-headed. Then he went to Brownsville, at the time of the Brownsville revival. When he came back, he claimed to have all of these divinely-inspired ideas for how things would look in the services from then on. He told people not to make plans on Sunday afternoons, and suddenly became overly emotive in his preaching. One Sunday, he gave an altar call for people to rededicate themselves to God. Nobody came forward. He insisted on continuing to hold the congregation in, and became viscerally angry that nobody was coming forward, and started ORDERING people to come forward. People did come forward-just to get him to wrap up the service. He was upset because he thought that, unless people were at the altar, blubbering their eyes out, the Spirit wasn’t “moving.”
The Holy Spirit is not an emotion. Yes, His work CAN bring about emotional responses within us, but those emotions are ours, not His. And just because we don’t “feel” anything does not mean the Spirit is not working in us. That’s like trying to assume you will always feel some sort of emotional “goosebump” experience with your spouse: it simply is not true, nor is it healthy. Our Christian walk will more often than not be “mundane.” It will not always be fueled by what charismatics like to call the “mountaintop experiences,” but a LOT of modern evangelicals will give that impression.
Third, the pressure to be exuberant can be very detrimental to Christians. If your neighbor in the pew is dancing about with hands raised, or is crying uncontrollably at the front of the church, and yet you are not, there can be a temptation to think that you are not as spiritual--or worse yet, that you are not saved. And this is a spiritually destructive thought process that I personally went through more than once while in the charismatic/pentecostal denominations. Christianity becomes judged by who is loudest or who gesticulates the most, or who gives the longest-winded testimony. Even if this is not the explicit intention of those who promote it (although in some cases I think it might be), that is often how it comes across, intentionally or not. You have people judging their spirituality by their outward emotions, or whether or not they are at the front of the church, rather than by their faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Here’s a question for you: why is it only considered a “move of God” when people are being emotive in church through loud prayers and laying on the floor? Why isn’t it a move of God when a man listens to a biblical sermon and quietly prays to God for forgiveness while he goes to his car upon being convicted? Why is it not a move of God when a woman comes home after church, realizing that she needs to better order her priorities, and sets about to do so on Sunday afternoon? Why is is not a move of God when a person simply rests in the forgiveness purchased by Jesus Christ on the cross instead of looking to his/her own obedience for meriting God’s approval and forgiveness?
Do you see the problem? There’s an assumption that there’s no working in the lives of believers unless a grandiose episode occurs, and the truth of the matter is that God works in the ordinary means of grace in ways that you and I may never personally see in the lives of other Christians.
Fourth--and I’ll conclude with this point--it is not being a “Pharisee” to examine things to see whether or not they are of God. In fact, if you read about the Pharisees, their problem was that they had substituted the Word of God for their own human traditions; things that clearly were NOT in the Holy Scriptures. That’s not what the issue is here.
If a movement is TRULY of God, then there should be no objection whatsoever to anybody examining it in the light of the Scriptures. On the contrary, playing the “Pharisee” card suggest dodging and deflecting issues, rather than welcoming questions and answering those questions with evidence from the Bible. So here are a few things to consider
-If this is a move of God, then I expect the Spirit to move somebody to rebuke the unscriptural practice of ordaining women to the pastorate, per I Corinthians 14 and II Timothy 2
-If this is a move of God, then I expect the Spirit to move somebody to denounce the coming of Rick Warren, Francis Chan, and members of the International House of Prayer to Asbury. Francis Chan supports Todd White, a charlatan who does “leg lengthening” tricks and tries to pass them off as legitimate heaing acts. The International House of Prayer is an organization which has ties to people in both the Prosperity Gospel movement and the New Apostolic Reformation, and Mike Bickel (the head pastor of IHoP) has publicly admitted that he allows false signs and wonders to go on during his services. Rick Warren has major issues as well. I suggest you watch the documentary “church of tares” ( ua-cam.com/video/R9y9ly6YvCw/v-deo.html ) and in particular watch the last segment which addressed how Saddleback church hosted a conference on a Christianity-Islam coalition.
-If there is a move of God, then I expect the Spirit to move somebody to condemn Dan Bohi, a Nazarene evangelist who has claimed to have raised three people from the dead, and has imported theology from people like Kenneth Hagin and Benny Hinn, trying to introduce it to Nazarene churches (and unfortunately has succeeded in some ways).
Real moves of God are not contrary to doctrine; on the contrary, they uphold it while expelling false teaching. Josiah’s reign as King of Judah should remind us of that.
So think about what I’ve put here. If it’s truly, really a work of God, then God be praised. But don’t mistake emotional reactions for real works of the Spirit through the Word. Even Mormons have claimed “revivals,” and we should be reminded of the shallow soil in Jesus’ parable of the soils, which tells us that you can have an emotional reaction to the Word of God but not a lasting root in it.
