- I spoke with students on staff at Asbury university to get the details and their perspective on the day the "Asbury Revival" started.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The University is calling this an "outpouring" & not a "revival". Those details will be shared in an interview with Asbury University's Strategic Communication Director Abby Laub COMING SOON
I am a child of the 70's Jesus movement so I've been praying for God to move in this way once again! He is answering & I praise Him for it! Let the fire spread, Lord.

I too am a child of God from 1971!! This is so amazing to watch and especially because my daughter graduated in 1999 from Asbury and I was in this Capel for her graduation! She also went this past weekend to meet a couple roommates and experience this move of God her words!! Praise God🙌🙌🙌💜✝️💜
I am getting so blessed to see those from the 70's movement posting about how we all have been waiting for such a time as this. I knew it was coming but not when or how it would start. Many have spoken of revival but it just was not what it should be. This I recognize and know in my spirit that it is genuine! Blessing to you my sister in Christ 😁❤️

The more I hear about the genuineness of the testimonies about this move, makes my heart swell with thankfulness to God! I came to know the Lord Jesus as my Savior in 1972. I asked Him to come into my heart and I literally felt Him come in, and also felt a heaviness like a backpack just fly off of me! I knew without a doubt the Lord was now abiding in me. My life changed for the better that day and He still resides in me and continues to lead me, guide me, and bless me day by day. Glory be to God and if you do not know Jesus, invite Him to come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord! You will not regret it ever!
God is always moving, but his ways is high above ours ways and nothing like what we think or say... To God be the Glory forevermore. Amen

I am so happy for this. Kudos to the school administration for keeping it being about students worshipping. No celebrity "Worship Leaders", no celebrity preachers. I am certain the numerous "christian celebrities" are trying to get there and be seen. Keep it about worship.
They were told they could come, but to leave their agendas at the door.

i was going to post something very similar, goosebumps all over the place! that's absolutely a way that the spirit manifests itself to me when i'm speaking of the lord or the bible with others, it always lets me know that what i'm speaking is correct lol.

Zack Meerkreebs message was so on point. He set the kindling on the hearts of the students. He told them "you can't love unless you experience Yahushua's love. Once you feel his love, you can love others.!" He then closed out Chapel with a call to the HOLY SPIRIT to move through the pews and rest upon those that needed his love. We thank him for his call for the youth present that day! HALLELUYAH!
He talked about loving tacos and the holes in his pants. Bland and irreverent.
No gospel was preached on his message.

This is what Christianity is supposed to be. Knowing and experiencing God as our Father, and sharing what "we have" to the world. The "light", the righteous, loving way of life made possible by the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. That's why Jesus called His disciples His witnesses. They are to share the truth of God, what they saw; the power, love, mercy, and grace of Jesus Christ IN ACTION. Christianity is not theology, it's the way of life prescribed by God for His creations, which He made possible in us by the enablement of the Holy Spirit.
Goosebumps and tears every time I listen to one of these reports. People hunger for and need God and pure religion.

Over 20 years ago a message was preached in my church about the Asbury College revival of 1970. I’ve been asking God to do it again ever since. I watch the documentary on it several times a year. Now it appears God may be doing it again. A revival of simple, powerful repentance, nothing to do with man. Humility defined the 1970 event, and it seems to permeate this happening in 2023, too. Suddenly I want a closer walk, a deeper love for Jesus, true repentance, revival inside of me. Inside of you, too.

The restraint of evil is God the Holy Spirit in every Christian who are sealed and indwelled by Him at the moment of salvation.1 Cor.6:17; Zechariah 4:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7. When the last Christian is saved the bride of Christ (living and those having passed) will immediately be called up to His side above Earth and taken Home to Heaven but without even a trace of sin. This is the rapture. Our sin nature will be extinguished at that moment!

After partaking of bread and wine (His body and His blood) , the Bible mentions the hymn Jesus sang with His disciples. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives” Mark 14:26. What were they singing on such an occasion? PRAISE! Psalms 113-118.
THE GOOD NEWS

Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless blood could pay our sins price.1 John 2:1-2. The Savior was born to die for our sins so we could live through Him. He lives to make intercession for us by His blood in Heaven! See also 1 John 1:5-10 & Romans 5:8 below.
>>> God knew your ministry before the world was made! Ephesians 1:1-14. Prayer goes out for you and those here. A CROWN in Heaven awaits all who share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that saves a soul. JESUS SAVES
God the Son (Jesus Christ) has given us the gospel to share with the world. Mark 16:15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
How can we hear it? Scripture tells us. Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (We receive the "word" in many ways. The "Word" is Jesus Christ!); John 1:1-5. God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible.
The Birth of Jesus Christ
Isaiah 7: 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died (John 19:30; Luke 23:46 ) and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28: 6.
Isaiah 53:" 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." - IT IS FOUNDED UPON GOD'S LOVE FOR MAN AND WOMAN HE CREATED
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3: 23
" For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

THE PAYMENT BY HIS BLOOD FOR ALL SINS EVER!
Romans 5:8 " But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, now justified by his blood, we will be saved from wrath through him."
“For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Matthew 26: 28 "For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (the life is in the blood. He had to pay with His life)
"And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Hebrews 9:22
BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast."
Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. We believe in Him, trusting His death and shedding His blood as payment for ALL our sins and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day! John 20:24-31; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 above.
WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH
Romans 10:
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE
Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5: 1

It is
GOD HAS REVIVED!! Please let us not allow it to die! God is telling us that THIS WILL BE OUR NEW NORMAL. Everywhere. It should have NEVER DIED in the past. God is FINALLY IN THE PUBLIC FORUM. Prayer is coming to schools, government buildings, etc. GOD IS COMING BACK!
100% agree. Maybe keep the building for the students so it's easier to oversee but let the public continue to attend outside via large screen. They had it set up.
I feel they threw sand on the fire when they stopped the non stop service. It was growing so much and impacting the world. Now it's contained to limited reach.
All we need is to pray without ceasing forevermore until we
lift the whole brotherhood up unto love for one another knowing we are One !!! ❤

When the last Christian is saved the bride of Christ (living and those having passed) will immediately be called up to His side above Earth and taken Home to Heaven but without even a trace of sin. This is the rapture. Our sin nature will be extinguished at that moment!

Blood coming from his body, NAKED, hanging on that cross like Roman torture weapon! What a Lord God and Savior! He had to. HE is God the Son. Only His sinless blood could pay our sins price.1 John 2:1-2. The Savior was born to die for our sins so we could live through Him. He lives to make intercession for us by His blood in Heaven! JESUS SAVES
God the Son (Jesus Christ) has given us the gospel to share with the world. Mark 16:15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
How can we hear it? Scripture tells us. Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (We receive the "word" in many ways. The "Word" is Jesus Christ!); John 1:1-5. God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible.
The Birth of Jesus Christ
Isaiah 7: 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died (John 19:30; Luke 23:46 ) and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28: 6.

When you plan for revivals, they're pretty easy to start up. The student maintains the “revival” wasn’t planned. But it’s worth noting that Asbury University is part of what is known as the revivalist movement-a group of Charismatic Christians who consistently attempt to produce revivals.

Notice the lack of any mention of Christ or Christ's movement through them. It is all personally driven and self motivated. There is no doctrine of repentance through Christ's salvation being talked about. Even when testimonies are given there is little to no mention of Christ or the Holy Spirit moving.

The Asbury University event was advertised for at least a week before it started. It was not a spontaneous event, but a planned event. For any Asbury University official to suggest otherwise, is dishonest. Why the doublespeak? This is disappointing. Obviously we all need to pray for the officials and students at Asbury and Lee University and all Christian schools and churches
there was no guarantee anyone would come. Are you saying that because they said "come to a prayer event for Jesus" that somehow the fruits of that event are fake? Obviously the people gathered and God met them there and the fact that you can't see that, instead you are distracted by human plans that you cannot see HOW God did what he did?
