I'm genuinely so proud to watch shady get commissioned like this. I started watching the guy years ago and seeing the growth and recognition is heartwarming.
Dream indeed. Out of curiosity how did you run the numbers for the project? I ask because I too am interested in game development and I agree that hawing Shadys music would be epic. However how does one make sense of the numbers, considering that the median game revenue is less than single piece of music would cost and it appears to me like one would need to be at top10% of revenue just to have a change of breaking even, if one were to commission something like 1h soundtrack among other high quality art assets? It's not like I am saying one would be in the gamedev for the money but the project not ending up tens of thousands in red, not accounting ones own time investment, does sound preferable.
@@Crimtaku Yeah, this definitely isn't making a profit. It's a passion project that I make because I want to. I've worked with several contractors for various things (graphics, music, promo art) for various rates, so for me it's all about deciding how much I'm willing to spend (as a purchase, rather than an investment), and what compromises I need to make to stay within that value. So for example, having Shady do my entire soundtrack would be beyond my budget, so I've also a) worked with other, cheaper composers, b) learned to do some music composition myself, and c) just reused some songs instead of buying a new one for every piece of content. Getting into game dev can potentially be a huge undertaking, so if you're just getting started my only recommendation would be to start small. Ask yourself what's the smallest game project you can put together, and start with that. Best of luck to you!
Yooo, another game for the list?! Proud of you man. Keep up the fantastic work, and take care! Also this song had me wanting to cause some carnage in space... so I got the game lol
Asking again for you Shady to do some tracks by DM Dokuro from Terraria Calamity. Would be sick to hear some of them from memory like Universal Collapse, Roar of the Jungle Dragon, or Infestation.
your music is so good it makes me buy the games you compose for. Still hoping for Thyrion 2 because that had better music than the iconic ace atourney themes
i'm so used to seeing his videos of him trying to recreate songs from memory that i constantly forget how actually good of a composer he is. respect pal, that sounds awesome!
No megalovania + 4 likes in 0 seconds fell off Edit: I should clarify this is a JOKE. The same joke that’s been told a million times by a million other people. I promise you it is the same and not randomly just someone being an asshole while doing literally nothing different than the obvious joke.

Love how it’s able to keep the adrenaline throughout the song! Definitely worth the suspension!
Having Shady reel 'em in with that harmony over my own gameplay is truly a dream come true. It was worth every penny.
