Smash Ultimate is STILL Broken

- Don't take this video too seriously. I think Smash Ultimate is a very good game and the purpose of this video is to show off new things that are "broken".
HUGE thanks to Heeew for making the original videos that this one was inspired from:

Hi everyone! Thanks for 100K views! When I first made this video, I wasn’t even expecting to get a tiny percentage of that! All these comments have made my day.
A few misconceptions I want to talk about:
- The reason why some moves / characters aren’t in this video is because I wanted to limit it to 10 minutes. I can assure you that I do think Pyra / Mythra are “broken” too lol
- I know a version of the Luigi 0-to-Death was patched early, but I’m referring to the specific combo shown in the video that has existed for about 4 years
- Kazuya Mishima
Thanks again for watching :)
Deserved,pretty cool pretty nice
I thought of Aegis as well but Kazuya and Steve are certainly causing more buzz;so you know.
watched this when it had like 600 views (around 3 days when it came out) crazy how much it grown over the week
Can you add the sources to the songs (specifically the steve section?)
Ngl, Steve & Kazuya are obnoxious, but even if that is the case, I can still have fun combo-fooding them with Pikachu or Pichu. Believe me. When I say that spiking them with the D-Air, Thunder-blasting them off-stage, or just spamming B-Air for HILARIOUS combos is a pallete cleanser, *I MEAN IT.* -That's why those two are the best in the game, anyway(Fight me, if you think otherwise.).-

This man basically said what we are all thinking about smash ultimate in one nice video. The worst part is, none of these characters are going to get nerfed because there are no more patches for smash ultimate.
They don't need to. All of these moves have counter play and the characters aren't absurd :)
@@shellytonz2856 if the moves shown here had very good counter play THEY WOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE. BRUH
@@shellytonz2856 everything technically has “counterplay”, but you do realize the person using the busted characters can use counterplay against the counterplay, right? So if they have a lot more strong options to use then the opponent has to be a lot luckier in their predictions and/or much more careful which still results in a big advantage for the player using the broken character. In steve’s case you can do stuff to get around his blocks but it’s such an uphill battle that puts so much urgency on you to attack a character who has tons of trapping moves and with kazuya it’s to be absurdly cautious about actually playing the game, which is poor design and not enjoyable.
@@DeepfriedBeans4492 When a ton of characters can outrange Kazuya and most people already play with those styles he's easy to beat. Rushdown characters can speed blitz him and long range characters can out zone him
Play Neutral. Just literally get used the characters ong.
Steve is alot like S4 Cloud. If you approach him, he wins. If you don’t approach him, he wins
He's supposed to be weak to rushdown characters, but a lot of characters who lose to him are are rushdown characters.
Hes sm4sh cloud with Bayonetta combos
I mean, Sonic can deal with him pretty well.....and I'd rather have a speedy hog than a game breaking character
Mining=Limit Charge
But he can actually prevent you from getting to him with blocks which is worse.
Steve looks absurd to actually fight, but looking in from outside, him being this ridiculous looks hilarious to watch
We need more funny characters
5:54 Steve segment for me and the other Steve lovers
He's an incredibly fun party game and really cemented the fact that ultimate is the least competitive smash game, add the insane lag and input buffer and you know just play this game for fun, dont try to play it seriously like the others.
I love Steve he looks so fun
@@thechugg4372 Brawl and Sm4sh exists

Fr I don’t play ultimate anymore but having a projectile command grab is a bit crazy. Plus no lag landing on blocks, plus that disgusting back throw into a block… what were the devs thinking
Although Smash Ultimate has caused a lot of frustration in my life (Quickplay, losing to disjoints as a Jigglypuff main, etc), this is still one of my favorite games of all time.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Jigglypuff main... I understand you... My poor Jigglypuff just can't hit elite 😂
I hate myself for loving this game so much, 2.5k hours and man do I sometimes wish I saved those 😂
For me it was smash four and honestly I can see how Bayonetta contributed to this wack gameplay of ultimate
As a pt main I partially agree with the disjoint thing, and even if I suck I still love the game too :)
The fact that neither Steve or Kazuya really got patched before the end to reduce SOME of their wonkyness is what baffles me to this day.
"Luigi wins by doing nothing"
Now what happens if he does do something
Time comes to a stop, the entire universe vanishes in an instant, and Luigi is the supreme ruler of all 69 universes
I think Kazuya has the exact same issues that Bayo had in Smash 4, which is the fact that they feel *exactly* out of their original game.
Which ordinarily, wouldn't be bad!
It's bad when it comes to Tekken, a game known for it's high skill ceiling, but high reward system (And it's been made slightly easier for smash purposes, iirc EWGF is no longer frame perfect)
Or Bayo, who came from a character action game, a genre known for just basically being "Blend your enemies into a fine paste."
Not to mention the justification some people give is "but Kazuya's disadvantage is bad." My memory of smash 4 bayo is kinda fuzzy but wasn't that cited as a bayo weakness and a defense for her?
(Bonus points for the fact that Pyra & Mythra are like S4 cloud, their only real weakness is recovery)
I do like how Steve's combos are truly based on the creativity and imagination of the player. it represents minecraft as whole rather well (even if it is broken)
That's one way to think about
Your making me see a wider view of Steve
@@Oreca2005 now imagine an online steve duo who both are good at playing as steve and have good communication and coordination. What I imagine is someone breaking there switch afterwards.

2:33 small correction: this WAS actually patched once, that patch is the reason the combo ends in up-air up-b instead of d-air up-b
so basically it was a nothing patch, but there was an attempt to patch it
It still is there, which was the point. However, he missed 2 crucial parts to his 0td: SDI (to very little surprise), and damaging yourself. If you can damage yourself with your own kit or using Luigi's fireballs, you can put yourself above 0td percent, and his combos weakness a decent bit
@@survivorofthecurse717 I personally try and throw him offstage and then intentionally get hit by his side-b as he tries to recover.
They nerfed it at the beginning and Luigi mains immediately found a workaround and they never tried again lol
I wonder what a spike on stage dair would have done for luigis combos in the future, we never got to see because it was patched out so fast
Lets be honest. What the hell would luigi do without it
but tbh Luigi is shit without It so he can keep It
One thing I think a lot of people overlook is that, yes it is very upsetting to play AGAINST most characters (every character). But it's also very fun to play YOUR character.

aegis dodging the “broken and OP” allegations 😭😭
amazing video!!
Oops.
Pythra is a dumb character. But Steve is worse because he is basically playing a different game from most of the cast.
FORESIGHT
Here the thing with Pythra, alright?
She’s really good, this is no suprise. Glorious combos with Mythra, and early kills with Pyra.
But. Pythra isn’t broken in the same way that Kazuya and Steve is. Kazuya and Steve don’t really have many weaknesses. They are good in almost everything, from combos, to kills, to recoveries, and especially in jank.
But Pythra doesn’t really have that. She doesn’t have a gimmick nearly as insane as Kazuya and Steve’s. She simply becomes quicker but weaker, or stronger but slower.
And, Pythra also struggles with her recovery. Something that Kazuya and Steve don’t struggle with.
Basically: Kazuya and Steve’s only real weakness is the skill of the guy playing them. Pythra, however, has an actual area in the game that she struggles in.
Yeah, Pythra is kind of bullshit, sometimes. But compared to Kazuya and Steve, she isn’t all that bad.
As a part time Aegis main, its kinda cuz she has good stuff but has weaknesses. Like Pyra has high damage, Mythra has combos, and Steve has both and camping and a command grab projectile. Also unlike the best 2 characters in the game no 0-to-deaths
Surprised you didn't mention that R.O.B's side-B can also reflect projectiles. It's far from the best reflector but it makes life harder for zoners and gives R.O.B. a trick up his sleeve against characters with big killing projectiles (Cloud Limit Blade Beam, Hero Kafrizz, Robin Thoron, Samus, Mewtwo, etc.
Yeah but I’ve almost never seen a rob actually reflect with side b, it’s like one of the rarest usages of a reflector in the entire game
@@DragonMaster1818It isn't gonna be pulled out a lot due to how laggy it is yeah, but against the mentioned "big killing projectiles" it makes ROB better than characters without one.
Link also has a special property, namely that he gets 90% boost to his fall speed when fast falling, which is more than the 60% boost that the majority of characters get. This is why Link, despite not having very high fall speed, has one of the best fastfalls in the game, which makes his nair that much more op
Ever since Smash Ult's final DLC, they pretty much said "K, we're done". Sadly, none of these things will be fixed. Everyone and their mother in Quickplay and elsewhere will continue to abuse these things, toxicity will continue.
it’s online smash, toxicity would’ve continued even if they changed these things lmao

I think it"s funny that link had a section about his nair being broken, RIGHT AFTER mii brawler's section even tho his nair's just as dumb if not more (pretty much does everything better than link's apart from range + grant him insane combos)
Brawler's Nair should've been mentioned. That move gave him some of the best combos in the game and is frame 3, safe on shield, spammable, and lingers for so long.
Nowhere near as safe in terms of challenging moves tho. No or very small disjoint, low priority, doesnt beat projs, if your opponent is throwing out a move unlike Links this isnt a pseudo shield in midair
I find it funny that, even before the end of Smash Ultimate's lifespan, the strongest character in the game by *far* is... Steve.
Not Kazuya, the character plagued with obscene moves from his 3D title.
Not Pyra and Mythra, the tag-team duo with great speed and kill power combined into one.
Not Palutena, the versatile goddess with tools for basically everything.
Not ROB, despite how easy he is to play and how powerful his simple stuff is.
Not even Pikachu, the dedicated (at least) high-tier character because of his archetype.
It's Steve.
The block man with an absurd amount of jank. The Lego figure with grounded aerials and instant ledge kills. The ugly duckling that became the swan once he learned how to land.
Steve.
It's fucking Steve.
Everyone already figured that out, but honestly the fact that frickin Steve from Minecraft as the meta in smash ultimate is hilarious to me imo.

It’s not really a choice when you’re Cloud against Min Min at ledge
Man I gotta be honest, I just really hope Steve isn't in the next smash game. I don't know if there's ever been a character that feels worse to play against, and I experienced Brawl Meta and 4's Bayonetta.
So, Steve is worse than a character that can kill you at 0 from anywhere on stage with about an hour of pratice on training mode, and there is litterally nothing you can do about it? And a character so busted that the tier list litterally revolves around him?
That's rough.
@@CommentPositionInformer Worse to play against, they said.
He’s like sm4sh cloud in the way they force you to approach, but can also prevent you from approaching with blocks as well as putting themselves in an advantageous position because some characters are unable to approach blocks sometimes, and also has some of the fastest and strongest moves in the game, like a FRAME 11 GANON F-SMASH, for instance.
Honestly, Kazuya and Steve are the top contenders for "What bs are they gonna pull this time?"
Leaning more to Steve simply because of his block, minecart and anvil mechanics...
As an inkling main, the last two mentioned in the video are slightly more easier to deal with. Online, Steve's, when they wall off players, usually leave a block empty in the middle, good for Splat bombs, and inkling has good recovery and fast air speed, it's harder to kill off stage, also inkling's forward air attack the upper hit box and can deal with Steve's Minecart (still hella hard to fight one) and inkling straight up bullies Kuzuka, being very hard to hit and able to low profile under his projectiles and use splat bomb to abuse his recovery (at least in my experiences of fight him, it varies from person to person) also splat bomb is ridiculously good
I main both Steve and Inkling. This comment... pleases me.
I played Steve for a bit and yeah I usually accidentally leave a block in the middle of the
Fantastic job editing this! It was a lot of fun to watch
If you think Luigis entire gameplan revolves around grab and thats literally the only thing your going for, your gonna get destroyed. Luigi can hit you at any percent and still deal insane amount of damage and that can lead to a kill confirm combo or up b. Literally being near the character is bad because he has crazy fast frame data and and a up b that kills mad early. Not to mention he can literally get out of almost any combo in the game that isnt true with down b
I once saw someone say that there are three types of Luigi players in Ultimate:
-Bad (Can't do the zero to death)
-Bad (Can do the zero to death)
-Good (Can do the zero to death)
And it's actually super accurate honestly. If your gameplan soley is to fish for the zero to death, you're a bad Luigi, because your entire gameplan will fall apart the second your opponent takes too much damage and the combo stops working
@@Robbie_Haruna As a Luigi player myself it dissapoints me that the cheesy Luigi players only fish for grab and spam fair zair fireball the entire time and do nothing else. Elegant and Luugi have shown you can still combo someone without the grab
@@ohianaw and Waka
My brother is the best Luigi in Oklahoma & I can confirm this. Also his zair is wildly underrated as a spacing & neutral tool that combos into grab and other moves like dash attack
@@Robbie_Haruna this is also very true for a few other characters like Bayonetta. Knowing "the combo" is important especially because having the threat of getting carried off the top is more valuable than actually trying to do it.
Overall a very good video! My main gripes come in the Kazuya section, where you showed off untrue combos (which is understandable given that his combos are hard) and that you didn’t list all his moves that comboed into electric, overall still quite a good watch though :)
This video required me to learn a lot about Kazuya and it was fun! I know some combos I did were close strings, but thank you for the feedback
the combo counter doesnt always show that kazuyas electric combos are true, but they still are. Just an issue with training mode
@@charlieallen710 Oh no I know, I’ve labbed this character quite a bit and I know he can get some stupid stuff but some of the combos did seem quite iffy to me

@@inainainainagirl Steve mainly got banned in a lot of tournaments at the time due to an exploit of him being able to cancel all knock-back done to him via multi hit attacks. Some examples being infinite jabs, cloud's side smash, pit's side smash... Etcetera. Steve in a vacuum is one of the coolest fighting characters with so much creativity. Its just sucks that it is so unmatched by everyone else and that makes it so annoying to fight. However just being one of the best characters is not grounds for a ban. I'm not saying that they should never be banned because as you said, the meta is always changing so who knows if we do end up with some game breaking discoveries with Steve or any other character for that matter. As of right now though I really don't think they should be banned.
"character is unmatched"
"is one of the best"
........
"But we haven't found anything game breaking so we shouldn't ban :P"
Bruh, are you hearing yourself. It's people like you that just make me want to ban this character more. No amount of discoveries in counterplay is gonna drastically close the gap with this character. And is only gonna give Steve more time to adapt.
Counterpoint: Steve is a cool and flexible character in a game where most characters are one-note and restricted, so we should keep him around. People say Steve is unfun to watch but he's dynamic and interesting in a way Luigi, Kazuya, Rob, any of the other 0-deatehrs or top tiers aren't. At least he CAN do stuff.
@@docs.a.t.7161
Giving a character too much is also an issue. Trying to justify it's existence by downplaying everyone else isn't an actual argument.
@@redshepherd32 wouldn’t giving Steve players time to adapt to counter play help strengthen ban efforts? Like I don’t agree with the people that are vehemently against the idea of banning him but if people do discover counterplay only for Steve players ending up just finding a way around it regardless, wouldn’t that help convince people of a need to ban him compared to now where it’s such a polarizing topic that the idea of a ban is unlikely?

a couple moves that I wanna mention that are also super broken :0
-Steve's Up Tilt is fast, lagless, is a great anti air, and combos into practically everything. Up tilt is the exact same thing.
-Sephiroth's Forward Tilt is HUGE and can function as both a spacing tool, an anti air, and a 2-framing option. Better than the belmonts in almost every conceivable way.
-Jigglypuff Forward Throw sends people at a horrible angle, often forcing them to burn an option, which Jigglypuff loves to take advantage of. Some characters just die at 0 off a forward throw edgeguard.
-Samus and Dark Samus's Charge Shot is extremely overcentralizing and can do just about anything. It zones, it combos, and it kills. Samus players can pressure just by charging it up.
-Mii Gunner's Grenade Launcher is a disgusting ledgetrapping tool that is insanely easy to use and doesn't require much forethought. Does great damage and kills, sometimes you just can't get off the ledge against Mii Gunner.

I could be misremembering though
I thought this was a heeew video until the end, well done!
Small correction from a Link main: Link's nair is not minimum -3 on shield. UFD or Kurogane Hammer give the safe on shield value frames for aerials assuming that you immediately hit the ground and enter landing lag after hitting a shield, whereas this is typically not easy to pull off for any character. For every frame you remain airborne after hitting a shield, you lose that many frames of safeness. For sweetspot nair, this is negligible. However, for soft nair, this typically makes the move unsafe if not spaced, depending on how tall the opponent is. You can potentially get away with it against Pichu, Kirby, and the like, but Marth can grab you for it 9 times out of 10 unless you spotdodge. Gimr's video "ONE FRAME" is a similar phenomena to this.
Not implying it's not broken though. It is dumb. I love it.
Steve and Kazuya will kill the game if left unchecked imo. I have seen plenty of people leave the scene because of them
Honestly, I feel like I am losing interest in watching competitive Ultimate. Everyone is starting to use the same few top tiers despite the game having 80+ characters. The amount of players picking up Roy, Steve, ROB, and Kazuya just because they're explosive top tiers is driving me insane. It's not that the characters are unbeatable, either. They're just so good that it's starting to make people feel like they HAVE to play them to win... even Leo wants to main more top tiers because he wants "easier wins."
We really need more patches.
kazuya on online quickmatches always gets my blood pressure up....he is menace
Another broken Kazuya attack is that one move that is like a EGWF but stronger, strangest hitbox I ever seen, hitting from really below.
Another op thing most don't know is that Shulk F Smash with Smash Monado can kill at 29% and Up Smash Buster Monado can break shields if charged, was glorious to see.
Towards the end of playing smash bros regularly, I almost stopped playing all together because of Kazuya. Even if you know how to fight him, it's not fun at all, because the only thing you can really do is try to camp him out so he moves first and leaves himself open.
Fighter pass 2 in general reaaaaallly deters me from picking smash back up. Doesn't help that I really like rivals of aether but I'm not that good at it
I've just been "yeah that's what they do, that's not broken" with this whole vid mostly. What's really crappy in my mind isn't that the high tiers are good it's that the low tiers are crap. Give the bad characters some more redeeming qualities for their huge weaknesses!
First up, you have to realize that even though many play the game competitively, it was never designed to be. The "redeeming qualities" are there, but not exactly in one on one, for example. Others are just bad by default: Ganon is big, slow, and has no way to approach. Mac is Mac (and rightfully so).
Secondly, the redeeming qualities could severely wreck the system if not done correctly, or even done at all. Also, if you say that rage drive isn't broken, there will be a few problems. Yes, you can kill him before 100, yes, he does have a bad disadvantage, but if you can't capitalize off of that or the opponent adapts, well...
Just some food for thought
Okay but the high damage output and aight gg situations you get with the top tiers shouldn't be lowered? Cause idk about you but I like matches to last some length of time instead of I got hit now I'm half dead or got tod.
Yeah dedede hits like a truck but the poor penguin is so fat and slow he can't respond to a lot of things

You could play yoshi against him do the regular yoshi stuff and then run away or camp while dedede tries to figure out how to approach without getting hit

Comeback mechanics in general are a terrible idea in smash. I love Terry and he was one of my most wanted characters ever but who was the genius who thought giving him infinite supers would be balanced? In other fightning games comeback mechanics make sense cause they are universal (and sometimes even then they can be a pain in the ass for example the comeback Ultra combo in SF4, they give you a reversal move that deals almost 50% damage for losing) in smash though it depends in your character and each one has their own rules (Kazuya loses his if he misses too much or if he gets hit enough but Terry can take your 3 stocks out of Power Geysers). Great vid, I was actually planning on making this myself and calling it “Smash Ultimate is Broken 2.5” as soon as Christmas rolled around and I didn’t have to worry about school, but I guess you beat me to it. I still have the script in case you want to use it for a sequel to this one since I’ll probably be too burnt out to do it :).
As a Young Link main. Kazuya gives me FITS 😑. Like, the man is solid at everything AND invincible at times??? Literally counters my whole strategy smh. I respect Steve players.
Why is there sped up Minecraft Dungeons music in the background of the Steve part? Just wondering
Let's not forget how it's possible to end hitlag and cancel spikes with Steve.
I mean cancel spikes is useless because the only way to do it is by knowing your opponent will spike you, but if you know that, why would you not choose a better option?
I think Steve's kit being so versatile and dynamic is a good thing; it makes combos extremely creative and often requires foresight and setup, allowing him to have arguably the highest skill ceiling in the game. The problem arises not from his gimmicks in a vacuum, but the fact that he has such powerful tools paired with an already decent kit. If you took away Steve's blocks, he would still be a mid tier, and that is too strong for a character with such powerful options
i’ve never seen a steve really be creative though. they all do the same shit over and over again.
@@trublood1117just like in the original game!
Wow, its really cool they implemented creative mode in smash with the NILs
9:00 I love playing smash....
surprised you didn’t mention terrys stagnant GO! after 100% and how it can be combo’d into along with the crazy hitboxes/damage
GO is insane, but people don't tend to complain much about it since Terry's an otherwise mostly inoffensive character. He's definitely really good, but in a relatively balanced way.
@@juniperrodley9843 that’s a better way to think about it, I’ve just seen Riddles jab or dtilt people and it leads to either 80% or death
@@oscar5012 Yup, same. I wonder, would GO actually be that strong if Terry didn't have arguably the best jab in the game?
That was in my list of things to include but I shortened it to a 10 min video. Maybe part 2 lol
@@juniperrodley9843 Yeah. Kazuya is unbalanced because he's min-maxed. Terry is better because he isn't, and more balanced for it
Kazuya is one of the funniest things in the whole game lmao. Even if I lose I still have fun playing or fighting him. Steve on the other hand, I would gladly never look at or fight again lol
Extremely underrated video! Incredible work❤
What is the song name by the Kazuya part called?
I am shocked Hero was not mentioned once considering he is the 4th if not 3rd most broken character
He’s B tier at best.
A lot of that though comes down to RNG though with his magic abilities, which in most cases don't make him absurdly broken.
although kazuya and steve are broken in there own ways they shouldnt be banned its nothing like bayo or meta knight were the only way to win is play them and there was 0 counter play. kazuya has boken combos but his nuetral so bad that he balances out alot
Imma be honest, i have 0 clue what the counterplay for Steve is, that character definitely gives Meta Knight vibes
Steve is dumb, hes definitely the closest thing to the broken tiers from past games, hes just ridiculous and it will only get worse as the top players find more and more new techs with him.
2:20 I like how every patch that tried nerfing the combo still is the same every time
@thatsnomoon hey, where can I get a graphic of your profile picture. I really really like it.
as soon as i heard kazuya, i felt very called out (yes, he actually is incredibly busted but god is he fun to play)
Honestly, this just made me appreciate Steve more LOL. This character is insane.
0:58 As a GNW main who has used up-smash as my first attack in countless matches, I can confirm this beyond all doubt.
"Steve's combo routes are virtually endless"
I mean, minecraft is a virtually endless game, so I guess it fits
I get Heeew vibes and i like it.
Another great game ruined by money. It's basically pay to win at this point. At least Melee's broken moves were unintentional.
Not really smash ultimate is still great and it's arguably the most balanced smash game. I'm positively sure that smash isn't meant to be played competitively it's a party game after all also ruined by money It would imply the game is terrible and bad the video isn't made to show that ultimate is a bad game because of two dlc characters it's still a great game even if there are two op characters
It's not ruined though. Sure most dlc characters are op but the game is still even if there are 2 op characters
It's not intentional here either, I'm sure if they still updated the game more balancing would come
god, this game got announced when i was 17 years old my senior year i remember being in the library and seeing the announcement and absolutely flipping the fuck out. first starting with brawl when it came out and seeing into what smash has become and how big it gotten makes me so happy
I remember you made these typa videos years ago for the previous games? Did you delete them or it was someone else?
To this day. I still fully believe that all developers for every platform fighting game have a massive foot fetish. Because there is no reason why all these kicks, or literally just sticking your foot forward for a long time, are beating projectiles, swords, etc.
Fun fact: Link's neutral air is called "the sex kick." Many characters have it.
Game balance when someone pays $5.99
In a tournament setting all characters will be provided to you.
That "I'm not gonna sugarcoat it" was a very nice touch
When I come across a Luigi clip that starts with a down throw, I usually just scroll past because I already know what it’s gonna be. Even when they actually hit a unique clip, I can’t fully appreciate it because I know they could’ve just killed their opponent with the 0-death anyway
This is honestly why i think nintendo shouldn’t of stopped the patches so quickly, because stuff like EWGF and steve in general need to be toned down imo.
I dont think they should’ve had sakurai work on the game longer obviously, he deserves a break, but there should still be a balance steam team so stuff like electric wind god fist can be nerfed (making it have more lag on whiff/shield, lessing kazuyas ability to confirm into it, etc), and steve can be nerfed to (a laundry list of nerfs that need to be done to steve, but for now lets say he can’t place blocks off stage and they’re weaker so opponents can break through easier)
Ewgf is meant to have good shield pressure and whiff recovery
@@shaghilathar3588 Honestly, the lack of whifflag on Kazuya's moves is what annoys me most. In Tekken, whiffing is at least five times worse than getting blocked. But what moves (forget forward tilt exists) have really high whifflag on him? I'm pretty sure none
@@xenocross6597 Tons. I'm disregarding smash attacks but roundhouse, hellsweep, even flash punch combo and simple jabs are easily whiff punishable , even from range. This isn't even mentioning that most of his moves can simply be outranged or interrupted.
Dragon uppercut is a free punish , as is down air, regular god fist and heavens door
@@xenocross6597 bro it’s ok to say you don’t know the character lol, EWGF is fast and has invincibility but is not lag less at all. Been punishing that move for awhile now
@@jaydenvaporwave1772 I don't know the character very well lol. But I've yet to see EWGF be whiff punished by anything slower than frame 12
