- We took a week off from work in January to go explore the desert, relax and unwind as our way to ring in the new year. We experienced great weather (other than one night) and total solitude for five days.
The desert is an extremely harsh environment and one must be prepared for that environment. Literally, everything out there either has thorns, or claws, teeth, or stingers. It demands respect, but when given the proper respect, it shares a beauty unlike anything else and one can thrive within it. We absolutely LOVE being out there and being completely off grid. We tried to show that beauty within this video. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Enjoyed the video! That screeching sound was most certainly a mountain lion. They sound like a high -pitched screech, or a woman screaming. I hear them a lot when I’m at my off grid property in Northern Arizona.
