Hi Maangchi I am a 13 year old boy who has been staying at home and my sister goes to school, one day I made this and It made her day. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us (:
I make so much of your food. Last night I made beef japchea and pork potstickers. My family loved them. I drive an hour away just so I can buy the ingredients. Lol. Worth it!! Thank you so much for bringing back my passion for cooking. I was a chef but my health stopped me. I was depressed for so long. I'm healthy and healing now. Your videos brought back the joy of cooking. Bit just because I have too. So thank you.🥟🥟🥟🍽🍴🥄🔪🥂
She is the sweetest and cutest chef I have ever seen. Her smiling gesture gives me positive vibes whenever I watch her channel. Lots and lots of love and hugs to you MANGCHI . God bless you dear.

Maangchi, I just wanted to let you know I made these and they were amazing! My kids loved them, and my husband says he likes them even more than mochi balls! Thank you so much for this recipe!
I made this myself and my husband loved it. I'm going to show this off to my family in the holidays. I'm going to try this red paste version in my mooncakes too.
You so called the right man and the family is the secretary general in charge is the only one I can trust your own right to be a good mother who is a men e and a
I used this recipe to make cheese balls and omg it was so good !! I added little piece of sausage along with the cheese inside some of them and kept two for a sweet filling. They were delicious I highly recommand !!
I made this recipe the other day, and at first the dough got so so sticky! I tried kneading it and it just stuck to my hand in a big glob. But I persisted, adding a little flour because I thought I had added too much water. But then I realized I had just forgotten the butter! Silly silly. So I added it, and the dough turned into a nice smooth ball! The doughnuts exceeded my already high expectations, they were incredibly tasty. And Ive been eating my leftover bean paste on toast for breakfast last week. The taste of sweet red bean paste goes so well with buttered toast and coffee!
Dear dear Maangchi, I don't know if you will see this comment. But I wanted to say : thank you so much for the making of the red bean paste!! I've been trying so many recipe I had to give up. But the way you make it looks so easy. I'll have to try this once I find high quality azuki
Dear Maangchi! I've tried the recipe and the way you make the red bean paste is so easy!! I finally managed succeed this recipe and it was delicious!!! I only had to cook a bit longer the azuki beans the second time (maybe 15min more) cause they were still a bit crunchy. But after that, it was perfect!!! I'll make a huge batch next time to use it with other pastries ❤️ Thank you!
may I complement you for how clean your kitchen looks. Part of the reason why it is so clean must be for video presentation, but I'm one for clean beautiful kitchens. thumbs up Madam Maangchi
I love this recipe, and your explanation on how to put everything together! I made it tonight with azuki beans, mozzarella, and cream cheese. It was amazing!
I almost died while making this because i didn't knead the dough enough and let the oil too hot (about 375°f). The dough brusted and the oil splashed everywhere. Be careful guys! I don't like red bean so i changed it to semi dark chocolate and it sooo good. Thank you Maangchi for your recipe 💕
New captions today! Thai by Khanitthanan Kaiser, Greek by Sofia Anna, and Russian by Sasha Molchanova! Thanks to you guys, more people can learn how to make chapssal doughnuts now! : )
Wow.. You make these donuts so easy. Actually, there are a lot of things to do with glutinous rice donuts, and red bean paste in particular takes a long time. But the work of squeezing the water out of the cloth is really good. I must make it this way. Thank you.
Hey Maangchi I finally made this at home for my family and they turned out so well, so much better then the ones they sell at Paris Baguette!! Thank you so much for sharing your kitchen knowledge- your videos help me destress :))))
this is pretty much like onde-onde in Indonesia. but we use mung bean paste instead of red bean paste, and the outside are covered with sesame seeds. love from Indonesia 😘
Do you mean the green mung beans? Because these red beans (called Adzuki beans in Korea) are red mung beans ^_^ I'm curious because the red mung beans are hard to buy where i live so i wonder if green can be used?
I made these tonight! They were really good. I think the next time I make them I will make a little more dough and still only make ten balls. I was really difficult to cover the bean paste in a complete circle of dough. Though I struggled they were worth it!
Chinese and Arabic captions were submitted by my volunteer viewers! Thank you so much! This video has captions in 12 different languages. ua-cam.com/users/timedtext_video?v=WTUQ_9s_bfI All of the captions in my videos are submitted by volunteer translators.
In Indonesia, they are rolled in sesame seeds before frying and instead of red bean paste we use mung beans for filling! We call them "Onde-onde" ... my favorite childhood snack! Thank you for sharing, Maangchi. I will attempt to make them one of these days! Love from France!
love you and your video's maangchi....you are so cute and the way you talk is simply adorable and your videos are so fun and food is always delicious, have tried most of your recipies and everyone loved them ... will be soon trying this one inshAllah .......... a lot of love from pakistan ♡♡♡
I was randomly searching tofu recipes and came across Maangchi's youtube video and want to say you are so sweet and precise in explaining everything. Love the way you cook, very homely which is how I cook. I can't wait to try out these doughnuts! My son has a dairy allergy and really am wanting to make these for him and try these out. Thank you
Reminds me a bit of Hungarian plum dumplings. I think it's the color of the red bean paste. You have a way of always reminding me of cooking with my aunts and grandma. Love your videos!
I love how you add captions to different ingredients as if they were talking, hahaha so cute. I laughed a lot at "I'm leftover please make me pretty :)" LOL!! And your English accent is adorable! ♡♡♡
I've been watching Maangchi's channel and following your recipes for years. I'm happy how your recipes never failed to impress everyone I cooked for. The ingredients are very easy to find and whenever I'm on budget, there will always be recipes for it and taste just as delicious. The way you explain in details is very easy to understand too! Thank you for always making my meal time awesome! Keep up the good work, Maangchi! Much love from Indonesia.
It's similar with our javanese traditional cake called onde-onde. It's filled with sweet mung bean paste, and instead of sugar we use sesame seeds to coat it. Will probably try to make this doughnut, it looks yummy.
I used to watch your video to study English and chill. Now I'm living in America which I didn't expect back in the day! Anyway, I happen to watch your video and this brings me the memory from few years ago. I love this 찹쌀도너츠 so I'm definitely going to try this recipe! Thank you. 감사합니다💕
For everyone who doesn't like red bean paste: I made these doughnuts today but since my family doesn't like red bean paste I replaced the filling with some red grapes I had in the freezer. It turned out to be super yummy and I highly recommend using them! It is so tasty that I almost ate all of them on my own and my mother asked me to make them again for her birthday. Try it!
망 치, can you teach us how to make some Korean beverages? (you know, like the Korean iced coffee and the 유자 tea you taught us to make). Love your videos! All of your recipes are so fun to make!
I just discover this channel and since I love Korean food I have been taking note of most recepies. Some times it is difficult to have the right ingredients. But I love it. Thank you so much.
I loved this! The only recipe I had for sweet red bean paste called for 2 lbs of beans, so you can imagine how much I have!! It is in the fridge tonight but tomorrow I am making dannpatbang. As soon as I can get to HMart for glutinous rice flour you can bet I will be making these. Meanwhile I have to freeze the rest of that mountain of red bean paste!! lol Thanks Maangchi - you are a real joy.
Loved this video! I really miss 빵집 in Korea...every neighborhood has a few. Some people may not consider it a "sweet stuff," but Soboro 빵 is my ultimate guilty pleasure! I would love to see maangchi come up with her recipe for it! :-)
Maangchi, when I watch your videos I can't be sad or depressed. I miss my aunt who is from south Korea, I haven't seen her since I was six! Thank you for sharing your beautiful recipes and lovely soul! Thank you Maangchi!
We have a similar dessert/snack here in the Philippines, it's called Bucchi. It's filled with red bean paste and coated with sesame seed. Love your recipe. I would try doing the same but use Nutella as filling instead.
My mom's favorite!! But I don't think she ever made this for us or herself. Totally gonna try this one day!! Thank you always!! ^^ stay safe and blessed!! 💕💕
I love watching Maangchi while eating store bought ones 😂 i tried many soup recipes but baking is just too much work. Enjoy the videos so much regardless!! Her jolly spirit is always nice to be a part of.
I'm watching Maangchi for the past one year...I am from Chennai, South India. I was not so used to cooking, though I can do quite well. But, ever since I started seeing Maangchi, I have started developing an interest in cooking. Her positive humane attitude reflects throughout her show. That's why I like her and her show.
This is easily a glutenfree and vegan recipe by replacing the spoon of wheat flour with rice flour and either using vegan butter or oil. I've made this numerous times and it comes out identical to yours! Maangchi thanks again for your recipe. I've been following you for years now and I was gifted with one of your books by my family😊
She's so adorable and cute, I love her recipes, they are easy to make that I share them with my 3 sons, they likes to cook. Your cooking is super great keep it up 👍😃❣ We are from San Antonio,Texas and enjoy watching your videos 👍👵🤠 🤠 🤠
My guilty pleasure food is Hawaiian chicken with white rice! I even remembered the whole entire list of ingredients! Chicken (cubed) Pineapple juice Soy sauce Brown sugar (to make it sweet) Let it simmer for 20 minutes stopping every five minutes to mix it. Then you make the white rice and both of these together are delicious! But sadly I've only eaten it once because my mother and siblings said it was too sweet for them but really it's just because I'm the only one in the house that absolutely loovvess sweet things. And I believe your channel is sweet and good for learning to cook things!
Mam this dish is very good. I am from India and I am very much interested in making Korean food but there is no Korean grocery store in my place😭😭. You r my mentor mam and I am a very big fan of yours
Indian here, just alter with Indian produce. Most of the products are available but in different names. This red beans is called " Karamani" in Southern India or you can alter this with available Indian produce. If you go to any Chinese restaurants, they may tell you from where you can buy certain products.
Hello Maangchi...I have just found your channel and have been bi ge watching your videos. I adore you, I think your are just a darling and your videos are so filled with easy enough recipes and you are a wonderful instructo...very clear concise. Hi, Maangchi, I'm half korean and Native American. I go to Culinary and Baking School. I bought your book and love the recipes. My Chefs love the food textures and flavors. I will continue to love your food and lovable attitude :)
Hello from Canada! I made them today. My husband and I were so happy to eat them! So delicious and cute doughnuts! You are my favorite cook Maangchi! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! :)
😮 so that's how you make them. I tried making this a couple of years ago but I messed up the paste. I couldn't get it to the consistency that you got it to. Now I know that I don't use the actual beans but I have to strain it. I'm gonna try making this again. Thanks for the video! ❤️😊
I really love you and your cooking ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!

But, ever since I started seeing Maangchi, I have started developing an interest in cooking. Her positive humane attitude reflects throughout her show. That's why I like her and her show.
Subscribed after watching twist donut video and this one did not disappoint. Am hooked on this channel!
I admire her cooking and I try them out too. They've come out well. Thanks Mangchchi
I just got to know your channel, and I love all of your food. Thanks for sharing the delicious food. I love you and the country of Korea
This is easily a glutenfree and vegan recipe by replacing the spoon of wheat flour with rice flour and either using vegan butter or oil. I've made this numerous times and it comes out identical to yours! Maangchi thanks again for your recipe. I've been following you for years now and I was gifted with one of your books by my family😊
made this today and it was AMAZING
Awesome!
A recipe after so long! Love you maangchi
I miss u maangchi..i really love the way u teach...God bless🙏
Thank you!
I'm gonna savor eating food with red bean paste now that I know how long it is to make.
My guilty pleasure food is Hawaiian chicken with white rice!
I even remembered the whole entire list of ingredients!
Chicken (cubed)
Pineapple juice
Soy sauce
Brown sugar (to make it sweet)
Let it simmer for 20 minutes stopping every five minutes to mix it.
Then you make the white rice and both of these together are delicious! But sadly I've only eaten it once because my mother and siblings said it was too sweet for them but really it's just because I'm the only one in the house that absolutely loovvess sweet things.
And I believe your channel is sweet and good for learning to cook things!
every since I subscribed to your channel I've gained more weight..but I don't care!I love your channel!😁😂😚
oops! : )
Maangchi I love you!♡♡♡
:-)-)
I've also gained weight, but I can't blame Maangchi's channel. XD
Spanish caption was submitted by one of my viewers! Thank you so much!
Mam this dish is very good. I am from India and I am very much interested in making Korean food but there is no Korean grocery store in my place😭😭. You r my mentor mam and I am a very big fan of yours
I am also Indian and love korean cooking. Have you found any teacher or cooking classes in your locality regarding these type of cooking. Thanks
Indian here, just alter with Indian produce. Most of the products are available but in different names. This red beans is called " Karamani" in Southern India or you can alter this with available Indian produce. If you go to any Chinese restaurants, they may tell you from where you can buy certain products.

Hi, Maangchi,
I'm half korean and Native American. I go to Culinary and Baking School. I bought your book and love the recipes. My Chefs love the food textures and flavors. I will continue to love your food and lovable attitude :)
Good luck with your culinary career!
This was one of my favorites when we lived in Korea, also loved the one that they sold at dunkin donuts that had the sweet cream cheese filling! yum!
The way maangchi says half pepper flakes and half pepper paste so cute😍
Hello from Canada! I made them today. My husband and I were so happy to eat them! So delicious and cute doughnuts! You are my favorite cook Maangchi! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! :)
👏
I made them tonight but I airfryed them!!! It is the best recipe I tried so far!!! Thanks!!!
That's interesting to know that air-frying works!
Maangchi fryed is always better but airfry is 👍
😮 so that's how you make them. I tried making this a couple of years ago but I messed up the paste. I couldn't get it to the consistency that you got it to. Now I know that I don't use the actual beans but I have to strain it. I'm gonna try making this again. Thanks for the video! ❤️😊
omg your shirt is hilarious! you always put a smile on my face. thank you for sharing your knowledge and culture with everybody! you’re a gem!
This is my favorite here in Korea, and now I can make it at home too, thanks to you.❤️❤️
