Very Interesting Ed. I had a go saturday on Woolverstone beach, got three schoolies on Ragworm in the North wind, took me two days to warm up ,didnt wear enough clothes ! Yes they are still there, may have another go next week better tides. Good piece that about Trolling...soon be herring time I would love a dozen fresh herring if you go . Cheers
Good to see you’re still bringing them in mate. That chill is setting in quickly! I’m sure I’ll be netting again this year and will let you know mate if we are lucky enough to get some! 👍🏻
Unlucky Ed, still great to be on the water. Been trolling the stour since the water cleared a few months ago with deep divers. Probably been our most productive trips....back to the whiting now then ! 😂
Hi Ed love the videos cant wait for the next one i have subscribed, i was thinking of getting a small boat myself, would you recommend a small boat i wasn't sure of all the legal side and costings mooring, ins, anti fouling, etc i know some people say BOAT stands for break out another grand lol would love to hear your thoughts cheers 👍👍👍Andy
Hi Andy, well… would I recommend a small boat? Yes! 100%. But, you need to do your research, take small steps at a time and take time to learn how the boat / sea / your skills all work together. Legally there is not too much to do, just a VHF course for your marine radio. I would also suggest an RYA powerboat level 2 course. The cheapest way to keep a boat is on your drive or a piece of land away from the marina and launch each time. Factor in a trailer and tow car though… In theory if you are handy you can do any work needed yourself servicing the engine etc. In short, boats are a lifestyle - do some research and get a good hull with the best engine your budget allows. Enjoy! Ed
@@Suffolksportsfishing thank you ED i had my own business i was a motor mechanic for over 30+ years so engine wise should be ok still respray the odd accident repair so doing an old boat up not a problem it was just knowing the procedures of if i had to pay or tell someone at the Harbour that i am launching a boat i can take the vhf test just thought there was more to it but thanks for the advise really appreciate stay safe buddy 👍👍👍👍 Andy Halesworth Suffolk👍👍👍
Nice to see someone catching on lures on the east coast. Tried beach, boat & kayak off Clacton & Brightlingsea with no luck so far!
Thanks mate, if the water is clear and the fish are there then it’s such a fun way of catching them! A really rewarding method and very exciting!

Thanks mate, will be after their big brother next time!
Nice one Ed reminds us of the trip we had up the stour a few weeks back👍🎣🎣
Yes mate - will have to do it again soon!
Nice day to be on the water, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it. Nothing better than a bit of light summer fishing

Whiting are on their way back in for sure. Still other species around though, a small whiting out live could result in something sizeable still 👍🏻

Hi, where did you get your decals for the boat made? The band around the hull
They were made by a local company to me who do van signage
"Predatory carnivore" gotta watch them....
Keep your eye out mate, or they’ll get ya!
