I don't love that it's called a Mustang, but it's a smart move on the part of the department. I doubt that Ford's first pure EV would have garnered so much attention if it were just another electric crossover.

There was alot of investment that went into the name mustang, ford ditching that just to please people is not smart. The industry is moving electric and so all of their brands will turn to full electric...so at some point you'd have an electric mustang. For them to make a competing name as Mach E...you'd need to market that with alot of money for which people already has an idea of what a mustang should bring.
Ford would be competing with themselves and also needing to compete with everyone else too.
Imo they made the smart choice.

The door handles are a direct copy of Tesla, but a worse implementation. I am highly disturbed by the fact that every other company simply deleted the door handles without asking consumers if they wanted a door handle, just because they saw Tesla selling a lot of vehicles. At least Tesla did invent a flush door handle without deleting the handle completely. Ford's weird push button door handles look incredible annoying. Although the Ford Mach E appears to be an extremely good electric car.

Dude I have the same problem with my 2016 mustang. The headlights start forming condensation in the winter after they’ve been on for a while

Why didn't they just call it Mach E, allot less controversial, unless that's what Ford wanted, not sure if it will sell more cars, but we'll see.
They wanted controversial, it's Ford's 1st of the kind, it either enter the market with a bang or just wouldn't sell well, and it sold out so it seems they did the correct thing.

I abhor fake noise and the same applies to this. I'd rather they just amplify the natural motor sound.
It grew on me throughout the video, it's a nice sound that's vaguely electric but also reminiscent of a real engine.
You can turn it off completely in Settings.

You can’t beat what you get with this car for the price. I saw it in person for the first time yesterday and I was very pleasantly surprised. Looking to buy one very soon.
Beautiful in Star White. Love how it contrast with the black. Sync 4 is state of art with through the air updates. That is one cool Mustang. 0-60 in 4.8 Premium-X, AWD. Very nice.
Between the new Bronco/Bronco Sport and Mustang Mach E, Ford are going to make some proper bank over the next couple of years.
And those moneys will be used for the new Mustang developments..
The Mustang Mach E will be a flop just like the new Mustang Mach 1 project. The Mach E will never be a mustang and everyone that owns a mustang knows it. The Mustang Mach E is a slap in the face to the heritage that all mustang owners bought into. It’s honestly disgusting seeing this thing.

I think you're right. that Bronco really looks nice. It actually looks like a Bronco. An all electric Bronco would sell like crazy. If the Mach E didn't have four doors, I doubt people would be so triggered, but here we are. Nothing can be done about the name now. Buy it or ignore it. Your choice.

Personally, I think it's great! Yeah, there are a few things that should be different. (It shouldn't be called a mustang is one of them) but overall I think this is honestly a really cool vehicle

I'm glad you like it since I just bought a few grand in stock. I was worried people wouldn't like the XUV styling. Looks good though. The unbridled hum was a bit off I think. Ford should go with a louder growl.
For their first full ev, I'm genuinely impressed. We have to see if it deals with the ford build quality. It shows some tesla inspirations, like with the software UI etc but awesome initial look.

Wow that is a real game changer the hole in the Frunk you can use it as a coffee maker. You should’ve taken it to a supercharger and seen your disappointment when it didn’t charge fast. I used to drill holes in the back of my old Mustang to let the water out. I should’ve sold them as an enhanced feature.

Alex J.G they used the “mustang” branding trying to turn it into a sub brand and that’s disgusting in its own right. They are using the mustang name to attract the wrong people into buying it and I wouldn’t be shocked if Chevy did the same bullshit eventually.

It could mean they could start giving us Mustangs more frequently and not ones that pretty much look the same aside from just a different front end. Excellent video guys. Really enjoy you content. I think the greatest threat for Tesla's continued dominance of the EV space is the mainstream manufacturers finally putting their tremendous manufacturing know how into creation of vehicles that feel more normal. Not everyone wants an ultra weird looking Cyber truck. Some people just want a truck that happens to have more torque, looks like a truck and interior feels familiar. Just like these dudes said , you jump in and you feel a sense of familiarity. I do think Tesla will continue to be a force to be reckoned with within the EV space but there is enough room for the Mercedes, Audi and Ford's of the auto world to cash in on what is obviously the future of motoring. That being said some will invariably gravitate to the quirkiness and novelty the Tesla badge represents.
I think this is a great vehicle except for lack of a dedicated charging network. The ioniq is another one that looks awesome. That being said there's no old oem that will be in a position to challenge Tesla simply because they don't have the finances and production and the market is growing way faster too. Agreed though. Tesla's are not to everyone suiting.
I actually really like the simulated engine noise. Considering the Teslas are silent, I think it's a good touch. I know not very many people like this car, but I think they did exactly what they set out to do and did it well. They tried to make an electric crossover feel like a Mustang, and I think they succeeded. I'm not even annoyed by the badge anymore because it still has Mustang performance

Ford needs to fire their engineers and get some ones who actually think.
1. Stop putting buttons face up on the console that get dirt/food under them in a few months and then they stop working.
2. Give us more than two options for unlocking doors, Smart Unlock Enable/Disable. It’s so frustrating that if I stop on the side of the road, put it in park (engine idling), get out and try to open the rear door, oh it’s locked. Meanwhile GM, Dodge, Hyundai all give “Unlock Doors when putting vehicle in park”. Not Ford
3. Give us the option (like Dodge) to have speed in kph, pressure in psi, temperature in Celsius.
4. Give us the option to turn off the Asinine throttle over stereo sound.
The most I got out of this was the slap in the beginning. That was epic!

I find it hard to imagine one of these going sideways into a curb leaving a cars and coffee. Not a Mustang.
At 0:33, this may be a clue that if this cuv abomination of a Mustang was lunched into space - & rightly so, I add, the "GROUND SPEED" on its lcd cluster would shift to AEROSPACE SPEED!
I think this is something people would be a lot more comfortable with in stages. A hatchback "mustang" to replace the focus rs but you could get under $30k would be fantastic. A v8 version would be even better and very unique. Then when they introduce the ev it's understandable if they have to lift it a little to accomodate the battery while still keeping the weight low down.
Dumb as hell to use the mustang name for everything but I could understand wanting to use the front end across as much as possible to get production costs lower
