What's your dream guitar?

Strat

a Gibson custom, which i will able to order this year (:
A Music Man
A ton of guys focus on bolstering their pockets with affiliate sales, and forget why they started making guitar content in the first place. Tyler’s a blessing to the UA-cam guitar community.
Tbh though that’s not a bad thing I mean that’s one way for them to make a living while creating legit content. As long as it’s entertaining and valuable then why not make a few bucks while doing so?
Agreed wholeheartedly.
or could it be that this was another prs promotion?
Tyler,You are a Very Awesome person, love Your videos, maybe some day I will be able to purchase,a decent guitar, gotta have a dream, stay Awesome Donnie
Excellent channel even better person
I think the coolest part is that you didn’t throw on the UA-camr personality or make it feel like the gift was just content. Good stuff W
Fr
Awesome stuff. Made my day Tyler!!!
@@milkandmeat But it wasn’t just content. That kid is going home with a brand new instrument.
Obviously it is only for content. He wouldn't have secretly filmed it otherwise. Typical, "let's create a scenario where I can be seen as a good samaritan" video.
I am not hating on this video or him (neither do I say he is a bad guy), but don't act like this video isn't calculated promotion.
@@TheBod76 bro this man tyler is in guitar center for like every video so hes promoting all time.
You did a great thing Tyler. He'll remember this for the rest of his life.
Maybe someday he will mention it in an interview, after he is a big star.
In 20 years from now, this man will be telling about this experience, and people will say: “Yah, give me things that never happened for 100, Alex!” But, they won’t know who Alex was.
That dream guitar obtaining is an unparalleled feeling. Definitely just amplifies the desire to play by lightyears. Very noble of you man, keep shredding !
My dream guitar is my explorer i just got. Black with the white pick guard. Couldnt agree anymore
Tell me about it. I'm 41 years old and just scored 1983 Peavey t-40 factory fretless bass. An amazing feeling owning something i never even thought i'd get to play let alone have in my house!
Been wanting a schecter reaper since I started playing, I just scored one used for a good deal and I honestly look at it and wanna play even more
I'm finally reaching this and it's so true. Nothing like having the dream in your hands strumming it.
Im turning 60 this year and my hands arnt what they used to be. You young guitarists should appreciate every moment. Bless you for giving generously.
Same 🙏
There’s a unique bond between musicians that people that don’t play will never understand. It’s like a secret society of passionate, like minded individuals all supporting each other. What you did was not only incredibly kind, it’s proof that musicians have each other’s backs and want others to succeed as we all follow our own path. Good on you!🤘🤘
It’s like this insane kind of mutual respect we have for each other and shit. It’s like we’re best friends but only met one time- 🤘🏻
Amen to that!
Yeah, unless something has DRASTICALLY changed with the younger gens that's not even remotely true.* The competitive nature and egos involved was very real for me as a young musician. I can honestly say that I wasn't (am not still) at all that type but I met quite a few that were along the way. Especially the jealous types and easily bruised HUGE egos. Creative writer types are generally sensitive people but we aren't always introverted, self aware and reflective.
* Oh and I meant to say that if it is true then that's awesome!
It's a great feeling when you buy an instrument for someone. I've done it many times myself. Giving the gift of music lasts a lifetime. Luv it brother !
That was the greatest day of that guys life. Keep doing what you’re doing man 😊
I’m his friend and he never stops talking ab it, truly a blessing from this guy 🙏🏻
have you seen the chick who was with him?
@@felixflatterer6646 word
Wow very cool
I was moved when he said he just wants to be around the music even if hes not playing. Thats true passion! Excellent choice.
Guy was speechless, he never could thank you enough so he didn't try. He looked thrilled. Well done!
You just made that kid's whole year man. Love seeing people spread good vibes and encourage new player to keep playing. Next time you wander down to Mississippi I'll have to drop in and hang out.
I tried to do this for a teenager once in GC last year. It was Christmas time and The kid told me he didn't have a guitar at home. It was just a Affinity Squier. I offered to buy it for him if his dad was cool with it. He asked his dad and I got the dirtiest look. I said I just wanted to gift a guitar that month as it was a goal of mine to do some good to inspire music for somone. They proceeded to berate me and get nasty with me and said "We aren't broke, we don't need your charity".... I was stunned. The kid looked super sad. So, I bought two guitars anyways and found a local public school music teacher to gift them to for his class. He also got two small orange amps from me plus cables, straps, picks and tuners. Trying to think of a better way to do it this year.
oof good luck to that little boy, with a reaction like that, his parents definitely seem like an unpleasant duo to deal with as a child. Hope you try to help another kid out and that its actually welcomed.
@@surrealparadox395 Found a local music teacher and he is getting my donations this year ;)
I'd say try again. That whole saying don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch.
That was incredibly kind and generous. Well done Tyler! The world needs more of this. That kid is going to play the absolute sh*t out of that guitar.
So cool Tyler! Damn this 62 year old welled up a little from this video. We need more positive and generous people in the world like you!
I met Tyler at the Gibson Garage on my 40th Bday last July as he was waiting to meet Tomo Fujita, who i also ran into. It was awesome and his is much more of a down to earth, nice guy than i expected. I got a pic with him and he was very cool and humble. I love seeing stuff like this. Awesome!
Excellent way to promote learning guitar!
Well done Tyler, I love this type of videos where you show you true personality and kindness. That guitar would be special for the kids rest of his life and will inspire him to continue his journey
That is so fricking cool!!! I have a tear welling up...Talk about paying it forward! We may not ever see that kid on the big stage but your kind gesture to that young man will keep guitar rock alive long after we're gone. We'll done!😎👍
That was cool of you Tyler.......Boss move, and super generous. He'll never forget that, or you.......hopefully he makes it big and pays it forward....
You literally cant not like Tyler, such a sincere and genuine bloke. We need more people like you in the world man. Love your videos!
The smile on ty's face was just as big as the smile on that kids face! Hell yeah! It's a helluva good feeling for sure!
This is the reason I love the guitar community. And with a guy like you, making videos about the stuff we all like, only makes it better. You are an absolute ledgend Tyler! Thanks very much!
Love you Tyler, you're such a positive person for the guitar community.
Very kind and sweet gesture from a man that really cares!! Way to keep paying it forward 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tyler has got to be the nicest, selfless and down to earth guy, i've ever seen on here, and gives so much to the music community, kinda restores your faith in humanity :)
Awesome! Thank you for providing a very uplifting video! Music is a win with people like you in the world sharing the joy of being a musician.
Oh my goodness... I was actually there that day (I pass in the background at 1:35 with a long red ponytail) and I thought that was you but I didn't want to bother ya! Great way to be a surprise blessing to that kid! I have been a subscriber to your lessons for a while. Thanks for being such a great part of the musical community here in Nashville!
Way to go Tyler. This warmed my heart. Your a good man to share your love of guitar.
This popped up in my feed, well worth watching. Very cool thing you did for that young man.
That was a great gesture Tyler! Well done brother! Keep up the great work 👍
Videos like this make me feel blessed to be starting my YT dream. I hope I can have this sort of impact on another person one day. Creating something, putting your heart and soul into it, and having another person enjoy that content might be one of the most amazing things.
What a blessing! Tyler, much admiration for your generosity!
What a wonderful act of generosity. He will always remember it. Well done! 👌🏻🎸🖖🏻
That's awesome! Tyler, thanks for being a positive role model and this random act of kindness.
Dude, to have worked your ass off and now be able to do something life changing like this. This guy could be handing down his love of music to generations. And the story....
That is a very, very kind gesture of you young man! Yes, I can say that, because I believe I’m old enough to be your mother! ☮️💜😊
So cool that you can do this. The more music is shared, the better everyone’s life becomes.🤘🏻❤️🎶
That was very cool of you!
You are awesome!
Still a down to Earth guy to have so much talent and success! 🎸👍
That's a great thing to do. Kudos for doing this.
Tyler. You sir have a heart of gold. The young man was in absolute shock. In a world full of Egos and maniacs you have restored a part of my faith in humans. Your videos are amazing and your humility shines through. I hope more people are touched by your random act of kindness. This kid will be changed forever...and in a very good way!! Bless you bro!
You made that kid's year. Thats what it's all about!
very generous and kind of you Tyler. I hope this guy enjoys playing his dream guitar.
Good on you man, what a nice thing to do
That was super cool of you God bless you and your family always and let the music set you free.Aloha.
This is the kind of world I want to live in. When a human being is kind to someone else because they can be.
Being able to have the guy there and playing the guitar is a more surprising and gratifying way to gift something like this.
I know that for me, I look at images of guitars and think, "That looks like a sweet guitar." but until my hands touch it, I won't know if it fits ME or not.
Marcos Curiel from POD bought me my 1st bass from Guitar Center. (He's my primo, unrelated) It got stolen from my car when I left it in there overnight after a late night practice. (So sad) Such a nice gesture for a young buck just learning bass. I played in bands, but never was very good. Always super grateful to a genuine person who I still consider family.
Wholesome af ❤
My friend lemme borrow his guitar when I first started my guitar journey and someone stole it off me. I'm now saving so I can suprise him with a new one for Christmas 🖤🤙
Tyler you have a "Heart of Gold". You made that guys day and not only that his life. That a lifelong memory he will never forget. You are the man.
I'm 53 and prefer acoustic guitars, so if you ever want to make a video where you buy an old man his dream guitar... I'm available.
I was a music major, too! (Cal Poly Pomona, go Broncos!) I knew a ton of rad people from the program circa 2007 and they ruled. This rules, too. Great work.
I am glad to see you using your guitar-buying obsession to make people happy.
Probably the best that that has happened in a Guitar Center in a long time. You rock!
2:32 That one comment, "Are you sure", reminds me why I hate those stores.
Maybe gets less commission than the one he wanted to sell the customer?
@@BoltRM I don't think GC does commission.
@@dustinedwardanderson Ok.
In that case, I'm thinking if he's pooing on a nice PRS, he probably doesn't know what he's talking about
I love watching the reaction on people's faces when you do these things. You truly are a class act man, love your content and wish you all the blessings!
The positivity you bring to the internet is awesome. Glad to see you have success and give to so many. Respect.
God bless you 🙏
Good on you dude...always pay it forward when you can and never forget where you come from✌️
My dream guitar this week is a G&L ASAT special.
What's it next week? 😊
That!! Was AWESOME!!! You just made this kid’s world. So great that you give back to the community of followers that have made your UA-cam channel so successful. Well done, sir.
This guy will remember this for the rest of his life!
Now he can download this video and put it on one of those digital picture frames to have on the fridge and just keep it playing on repeat.
Spread the love for music! Very generous of you Tyler..!!
My dream guitar would honestly be a Gibson Les paul. I currently use an ibanez
you will be disapointed
Tyler, you are an awesome human being, you give so much to so many. Not just actual guitars, but time, knowledge, advice, and entertainment! You make people happy, OFTEN! 👍❤️
Can Tyler save Guitar Center?
I remember the first Tyler video I watched. It was the forbidden riff at different shops. The employees were clearly in on it, bad acting!! I'm super happy I gave him another shot because, Tyler is an amazing dude, a villain player with a huge kind heart and, a great sense of humor!
I've been subbed for a few years now and don't miss a video! He just changed that kids life ! What could be cooler than buying a kid an awesome guitar? Kid's new in town and hits guitar center and makes a new friend. Totally heartwarming. I love it!✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏
I was able to buy my dream guitar, a Figured Top ES-335 in Antique Walnut with block inlays, by doing Uber after I sold all my gear to pay for my dad's medical and funeral costs.
I then swapped the pickups and taped a little picture of him inside an f hole. I dreamed of having one since I was 10 years old and saw Clapton with a 335 in Cream.
@CountdownX He always was. My dad wasn't really into music but he came to so many shows growing up, paid for a great jazz teacher, got me a new CD every week if I learned a few songs off the last one, and even took me to see David Bowie for my first concert.
Halfway through the show he nudges me and goes "I know all these songs!" Turns out the only songs he knew were Let's Dance and Space Oddity 🤣
The best part was that through supporting me, he actually got into music. He started watching concerts on VH1 Classic and Fuse. One day he called me in to ask "Did you know Queen were this good live?". He also had no idea the Beatles had great songs that weren't hits; he was born in 1944 and somehow ignored music until the early 2000s.
This is the best thing I've seen all day. That kid is going to treasure that guitar and the entire experience. I'm happy for him, but I'm also happy for you Tyler. Being able to do things like that must feel so awesome, I can't imagine.
I hope he will mod it with stickers, sandpaper relicing and put EMG 81/85 in it!
Dear lord pls no. Relicing is straight up BS
Very kind of you Tyler. Love videos like these.
I bought my dream guitar a few years ago. I have a new dream guitar now. Funny how that works 😂
Mate. When he mouthed to the girls he was with "He's buying me a guitar" i think it only then dawned on him because he had this dead serious look on his face like he couldn't believe it was happening to him. Good stuff Tyler. You just made sure that kid will be playing for years to come.
He's already got groupies, he'll do just fine in music business.
I was gonna say... notice his two friends are girls lmao
What a dude! You did this incredibly nice gesture but also made it seem so natural. That kid internally was freaking out no doubt but you still made it seem like such a chill moment.
Love seeing good young dudes get blessed, cause they've got it hard enough these days & kids like this young man will literally give anyone the shirt off their back when & if needed! Well done bro👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
When you watch all the BS and crazy in the news, and then this comes up in your feed. It lifts your spirit. In our home we say it made our hearts smile. Thanks for sharing your passion with others in this way.
That's what's up. Good on you man. It takes people that can effect change to step forward and lend a hand or just show a kind gesture. That is so awesome.
This makes me happy I signed up for the Guitar Super System several years ago. I have no problem whatsoever supporting what Tyler does. Was that an LTD guitar with Piezo? My guitar-spotting skills have yet to be refined...Thanks for the uplifting video.
Nice!!!!!
Where I live, if someone was to buy you a guitar out of nowhere (or any other music instrument) the least we would do is give him/her (the buyer) a strong hug. 🙂
Cheers from Argentina.
This was an awesome thing to do, I love it. It was funny when the employee said "This guitar? I didn't know you were a PRS guy". I literally bought my PRS because of your videos, keep up the good work man.
This was the coolest video ever. So awesome to see Tyler do this for a random fan who happened to be in GC at the time.
Tyler...this is just awesome dude...that kid is gonna enjoy that PRS for years.
You just changed that kid's life, for the better.
Best thing i've seen in a long time.
Good man.
That’s so awesome, man. Another reason you’re one of the best around. You made that kid’s year, I’m sure!
You know, if you’re still feeling generous and haven’t given away that lefty strat from your other video you could make another person’s day who unfortunately doesn’t live near Nashville…
Gestures like this just put mile wide smile on my face. Good on ya.
Omg, Tyler that is the best Philanthropy I have ever witnessed, for sure get this young gent to sign up for your guitar course and follow up in a year, I’ll totally want to see that vid
Cheers
Rik
I like your style! Thanks for spreading the love of music to the young folks! Last video i watched of yours was the Belmont giveaway! Keep spreading the love!
thankyou for being you and making people happy
That put a smile on my face.. needed that more than you'll ever know. Thx for all the music for the win stuff@😊
Wow...Tyler that was awesome!! Extremely kind of you. You just made that young mans day...week...month!!! 🙂
Nice video. The smile on that young man's face said it all. Keep rockin'!!!
How wonderful - such a kind and generous gesture. Well done Tyler! Best wishes from Ireland! Love your channel
You're First Class Tyler. It's so great to pay it forward in so many ways.
You're an awesome dude. I wish everyone could be so generous with each other.
I bet that's a great feeling huh Tyler? Paying it forward is always a good thing.
I never get tired of wataching you do this. Thank you for being the positivity we need in this world, especially nowadays...
All I can say is what a great Thing you done for that young man, I sure he will cherish that guitar for the rest of his life. And this is just another great reason I watch your channel .
Take a wee bow ma man .
Well done brother 🙏🏼☮️✊🏼💯.
Nuff respect it’s a beautiful thing.
One love.
Music is life it’s why our hearts have beats
I’m gonna be attending Belmont University this coming fall as a music business major too!! This is so cool!
I've said this before to you Tyler, but you're one of the most objective, and down-to-earth guys on UA-cam. This video really shows where your heart is, and I'm sure your Mom and Dad are extremely proud of you. Don't ever change.
