Dang bro y u hope I have shitty day??
My day was shitty but now it’s ok 👌
should've handed him a bass and filmed his reaction.
Lmao
lol
That would have been priceless
Yeah! Missed opportunity
And or ukulele
You're really starting to get the hang of that guitar thing.
Yeah!😂 He's not a fookin noob!!
@@Doofusdandy yes he is))
@@alexeylicsow7878 I'd say Brandon is pretty good at guitar.
@@Doofusdandy he cant even mute strings
@@alexeylicsow7878 I thought he could, but that's just my opinion.
love this! Proof that a price tag doesn't determine how good a guitar is
Hahah yeah, but it looks beautiful definitely ART
@@omarabz4129 oh 100% the 20k one definitely is gorgeous and had a lot of beautiful craftsmanship! but even looking at like the 600$ tele. Seems like it was a great guitar with an even better price tag!
Shows it comes down to personal preference and feel
@@rbae exactly!
From what I've gotten over the years the price has almost nothing to do with the tone or the feel of the guitar. It's mostly quality of life stuff. How well it holds tuning, how long the materials will last, defects, etc. $500-$1000 seems to be the sweet spot.
That $20k PRS was outrageously nice. I would have probably ended up with the Hollowbody II too though, I’ve played a few of those that I absolutely loved. Great video man!
And overpriced by about $17k…
@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 not really, the wood and glassy look of the guitar is no joke, not mention the exensive wood they use, or expensive frets and that guitar may just be special or one of a kind
@@bean7250 "expensive" wood to make fools buy it and waste money .-.
@@MrBonki123 be it may, that you think it is wasting, it could be another man's treasure.
@@bean7250 If you value a specific kind of rare wood enough to pay 15000 usd more for a guitar, you are super vain or have way too much money. Because there is no point to it other than vanity...
Having the guitars tuned prior to handing them to you would have allowed them to be compared fairly…and THAT would have been really interesting.
Honestly if you can't make an out of tune guitar sound good you're not a good guitar player /jk
@@bartallen6849I'm even better than that, I can make an in tune guitar sound out of tune😊
Yes and less annoying.
This supposed friend was anything but helpful. Tried to influence his opinion and purposefully twisting the tuning pegs. He made the video worse imo
@@thijssie1987 Totally agree this was the most painful music video I have seen for months
I tell you what that Squier Tele looked and sounded pretty nice for around $600, with a bound neck amazing that you can get a banging new guitar in that price range.
If a Tele was my style I'd probably get one because that's an amazing guitar
@@mememan5466 whats ur style
You can find them on sale for under $400 at some places since they're being discontinued soon (they were a 2022 special run)
@@mememan5466yeah whats your style
@@lglg64 PRS or Gibson style guitars
Should have given him everything tuned properly to make it more fair
Unrelated, but you are one of the best teachers on youtube. Seriously, ive seen them all by now 😂
Very technically sound and great musicianship! Rarely do you see both in one.
Many are either great players who can’t explain, or great at explaining but their playing isn’t as tight - so they overcomplicate with theory rather than practice.
Anyway, I’m sure 52 week player is a great value, but some of us already have enough skill (or resourcefulness) that we don’t really feel it’s worth it. I suggest you make a few patreon tiers for those of us fall in that category.
Maybe an extra vid / lesson a week, tabs on screen. Nothing too crazy ✌️
Shame the Ibanez wasn't tuned, or that a more expensive model than the GIO was not picked out. They're my personal favourite brand and I always find myself gravitating towards them, would have been interesting to see your take on them.
It’s a shame that most of them weren’t tuned…
Ibanez are trash unless you start getting into the premium series.
That Malmsteen strat sounded fantastic
Cause its a strat with SD humbukers piled looking like single coils. Part of Yngwies geniusness
It sounded absolutely insane. Incredible tone.
Fr I personally loved the distorted tone of that guitar the most out of any guitar in the video
@@MCMANCHESSdyk what called the lick he played on it
The amount of Canadian hints Brandon dropped to Royziv to tune the guitars before giving them to him 😅😂
Yeah lol
This would have been perfect if all the guitars had been in tune first. Not a really fair comparisons without that...
Really enjoyed this - my fave was definitely the $20k PRS though - the tone on that on clean was so balanced and complete. And your first choice was my second.
yeah price speaks for itself obvs
I was rooting for the YJM strat but immediately when that blue PRS came out it was over
"I'm not getting a strat cause I already have a tele" I am in shock
I was thinkin the same thing 😭
this is not living.
just like shark tank answers lol
this was incredibly fun to watch
Cosmo is my go to place for guitar (other than L&M). Great to see you hang out with Roy!
Love to see u review guitars together
I recently did this in Alberta Canada, at a major guitar shop. My budget was 1000$ to 3000$ in an Strat style body. They picked 5 guitars, unknown to me at the time, a Fender American, a PRS S2 Custom 24, a G&L Legacy, a Squier and a Godin Session. Same amp and room, I went by feel and sound alone. I walked away with the Godin Session HT matt black. Love it.
Congratulations on the new guitar man, that one is a beauty
Looks like you had a fun day.
Sounds beautiful!Give me some juice!Do more like this please
Love Roy so happy to see him from his debut with bias and jamtrack come this far man its dope
i like how he got the best littel melody on a squier and not on those other expensive guitars in the beggining
He should have handed him the guitars tuned, but other than that this was a fun video!
Always cool to see your own guitar in the background, spied my charcoal PRS
Great guitar, when i bought the PRS hollowbody i also got myself an acoustic amp and i love the sound of playing the PRS trough both outlets and amps at the same time.
I see you picked those XS strings from Daddario. I've been using them for the last several months. they're durable and play great! Solid choice. My go to strings now.
i recently got a jackson SL3M Soloist rainbow crackle guitar, absolutely love it. really helped me with my learning due to how nice it is to play.
Just about to buy a SE HB II Piezo, so pleased to see it was the blind-fold choice. Mind without the blindfold I would have probably gone for the other PRS, it was stunningly gorgeous.
This was fun, thanks! Definitely a good final choice too.
That Malmsteen Strat is the winner in the tone dept👏🏻
First time watching this video on the 5th of February. Happy birthday my dude! Hope you have a rock'n day Brandon! 🤘🏽😎
That is a really great video idea! Thank you so much for the entertainment and keep in being this creative ❤
Good choice - I was in Cosmo a couple of weeks ago and that very same PRS was in my final 2 but ended up with a Taylor T5Z - It was so close that I almost purchased both.
He was feeling the rip and tear on the 8 string he was going HARD
This was an interesting concept that just wasn't really planned that well. While Brandon played the guitar, Roy should have been grabbing the next guitar and starting to tune them so they were good to play when handed over. Still a fun video though.
I know you can't tell how nice an acoustic is from a screen but damn I could just tell that Gibson was something else. Every gibson acoustic I have played just feels incredible
Why is no one talks about how he play those scales perfectly while blindfolded.
I think he is just good enough to know his scales with muscle memory
He’s just that guy
Muscle memory
I was at cosmo a couple weeks back and it’s really cool that I’ve played a lot of these guitars
Somehow brandon being more clickbaity is less clickbaity.
Also loved that yellow strat
we can tell that roy does really loves musicman's guitar
We can also tell he was trying to get him to buy an expensive guitar cause he works there. Barely gave him any under 1,000
My brain has a hard time comprehending a calm Brandon
My last bass guitar I bought like this. I knew what I had in my toolbox at home, but I needed something to augment it with, so I told the clerk to start handing me basses. Then I did what you did and played them (eyes shut to prevent oogly-bias) to see what I needed, and I'm glad it wasn't a 20 grand bass that liked the most. It's too easy to fall in love or get repulsed by color, shape and brand. Try it out some time, people!
My jaw dropped when I heard Cliffs of Dover on a pink guitar while blindfolded.
best guitar content rn
Great video. Let me know when you record a video where you restring a Les Paul blindfolded.
To be honest the 20k PRS tone nearly made me cry
Ahh I would've chosen that blue PRS as well! Sweetwater sells that exact guitar in the US for $1279 lol. It was a similar price when I first saw it back in March. They are really really pretty guitars. Can't say I've ever played one though. But aesthetically at least, I'd totally choose it!
2070 cad is about 1500usd so bit cheaper yea but got to remember different currency
I just bought that same guitar after months of scouring reverb for the perfect flame top on it
Not only does it sound incredible, but I got one the looks like a Top 10 for 1K US
Sick to see another great guitar player from Halifax
Another awesome vid and collab, love it :D also beautiful guitar you bought!
I used to go to Cosmo’s all the time when I was younger, it’s absolutely awesome there
awesome vid my bro!
“We’re going to be oot and aboot” as an American this tickled me 🤣
I love this video concept
I like this idea. Can't wait to see what you end up with.
Dude! You ended up with the same guitar as me. Good choice.
Even the same strings.
I liked the part where you tuned the guitar.
Man I have a strat and I love that fender is doing higher output aingle coils on the modern production strats but jesus christ those SD stacked HBs sound absolutely insane. My god that is just unreal out of the box. Might get another strat just to put those in because it just sound absolutely beautiful.
That Blue to Black PRS is just beautiful man! Beautiful in every way. You came super close to buying a 2K PRS , I'd have loved to see your reaction! I've only seen you on shorts before this so it was cool to see you out of character. It suits you man!
Nice guys at the shop, foocking with you the whole time you were blindfolded.... too funny 🤣✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏
God damn that Gibson sounded incredible
I was rooting for that $600 Squier Tele, but I am glad you ended up with that Semi-Hollow PRS blue guitar.
gratz on your engagement.
Missed opportunity when he didn’t finish with “just leave!”
Would have been nice if the guitars were in tune ! No sense in watching this especially because it is a blindfold test and having to find the tuning keys may give away the guitar brand.
the pink guitars are the most badass ones
this is great, just got my first guitar on my bday and i love it
Guitar battle with roy
I think that 20k prs looks so fkn overkill holy moly
I think the hardest part of this video would of been playing a guitar blindfolded
great video man great choice I love ittt!!!!
Came down to 2 PRS guitars, goes to show how much he likes their brand
I personally think that guitars with an amazing clean sound makes the best sound when distorted. I am personally running a Woodo Guitars guitar with two active EMG humbuckers and one passive single coil in the middle. it sounds crazy good when playing a clean sound thanks to those active mics together with my distortion pedal that I got at a garage sale that is so god damn worn out in the body that I have no clue what it is makes the meanest sounding metal distortion I have ever heard
That Kansas solo was nice!
The spalted maple top PRS is GORGEOUS and AWESOME sounding. The clean jazz sound is to die. IMHO.
More videos with Roy pls
you should do this again but tune the guitars before you give them to him
that beautiful gibson and the runner up prs are so nice
I am lucky enough to have a " B.C Rich - Chuck Schuldiner signature - Stealth " ...
Black - through-neck - one deMarzio pickup ...
It's beautifully balanced. Sound's epic ... RIP Chuck, Brother 🙏 🤍
Great video and love your classes and fun " shorts " on YT 🙏🌎😬👍🏻
Yeah , it’s nice a nice axe to own . You are pretty lucky that you have it lol.
how on earth is he playing like that with a blindfold?!
a 30 min video? bro i only know your shorts, but here we go
Roy makes everything better.
Bro that was awkward asf
PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo, my choice also but its such a coincidence since your ring might kinda ding that body a bit @ 14:33 so I was hoping you'd choose that. Glad you did!
Man I would die to learn and play an electric guitar just like you but the only guitar I could afford is an Air Guitar 1980 Vintage 1 of a kind supreme edition.
That strat sounds clean, maybe I'm just a little bias coz I'm a strat guy, but I know he will get the prs coz that sounds different and clean from the ones he used to play.
27:39 Literally just doods bein' doods right here. I even said "hell yeah" at one point I think.
Bro never played this guitar after this video and im fairly certain he sold it off already... 😅😅😂😂
Incredibly fun to watch - real suspense and real consequences!
every guitarist will default to a guitar that costs less than 700, we have all been there, we make the guitars, we make the sound anything else is just a wonderful amalgamation of style and getting to know the new body.
How I’ve missed your videos.
Roy got pissed when he said he didn't like the PRS. 10:15
when I first heard the tele, I thought it was a fender, then I saw the headstock and was blown away
ngl, when i first started seeing this guys tiktoks and reels and whatnot, he really annoyed me, but after watching this video i’ve gained a lot of respect for him. subscribed
that 8 string sounds MEAN AF goooood daaamn
That Yngwie Strat sounded sooo good! Like astonishingly good.
'ok bye'?
I'm not used to this gentle Brandon.
tofu brandon...
I'm basic cuz that American Strat was amazing. I was also surprised by the Squire Tele
Its nice to see him so calm lmao
THAT BLIND FOLD CONFUSES MY BRAIN SO MUCH
I think I might need to go to Halifax. Been on my way for a loooong time
"Yeah.. I'll just act like an adult" 🤣
