Oh for my car? Yeah @ghostldnx beat me to it! Thanks 😅 It was introduced on the facelift, wireless was introduced as well as it has a new multimedia system. Basically any new A-Class without the touchpad will have it.
Hmmm I downgraded to iOS 17 so I could get off the developer beta and be on the stable public release which is what I’m on now (just the standard iOS 18). I do have the new button and it’s installed on an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
This depends on the car’s hardware, sadly not all cars have wireless CarPlay but just in case they don’t I made a video about that sometime ago: ua-cam.com/video/lRhL-DXVL3g/v-deo.htmlsi=JLFdy9pzighbRcsv
Does the CarPlay update display "lossless" when playing Apple Music in this format? As of now, it only displays this format icon in the app when it is open on the phone but not on the CarPlay display in your vehicle.
No sadly the CarPlay protocol won’t allow lossless formats to come through. I’m no audiophile I should say first, but I do appreciate good music and sound quality and understand codecs a little. I would imagine that on the car’s end, for compatibility wise that most cars simply wouldn’t be able to decode that sort of high quality audio file. Plus I guess it would depend if CarPlay is wired or wireless as well. I cover Mercedes a bit on my channel and only some of their latest cars use Dolby Atmos support, with a specific sound system and even then it won’t work through Apple CarPlay, it only works through the car’s own user interface. I tried it! 😜 But…looking to the future I would presume and expect the next gen CarPlay to feature this sort of thing for us music lovers! That would be good!
Hoping that new cars will continue to have CarPlay. With the push for manufacturers to want to expand there in-house subscription services, some OEMs have already decided not to offer CarPlay and Android Auto. GM is one OEM that is dropping it starting in MY 2025.
With the call record feature how does it advise the person you are calling? I get it if they answer the call immediately but as most companies keep you in a queue or set of menu choices for a few minutes or more, if you start recording while in the queue, how does it know when someone answers. As far as the phone system is concerned the call starts when the automated system makes the connection not when a human answers.
Well short answer is they wouldn’t know 😅 Getting technical, as far as I’m aware it is not illegal to record someone’s or a companies conversation. However it is a bit different if you then intend to or plan to share it. Of course there is the courteous thing of asking or informing but if it’s for your own reference then there’s no need. Good question though!
Ah yes I’ve seen a car or two that have the temp on the middle screen which means you can’t see the outside temp when using CarPlay. It’s one of those things that you don’t notice on a test drive but then it’s not there when you want it! 😅 Having temp on CarPlay would be good though!
So this depends where you live, as there are different connectors in different countries round the world. Here in the UK, yes you can use selected Tesla Superchargers but load up their Tesla app first and check which ones are compatible.
Thanks for letting me know, already added a pinned comment to the comments section. I completely forgot that Apple introduced two different chipsets last year so it’s only on the A17 Pro Chip which is iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
That’s very strange, I tried it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max before filming and it didn’t work (running iOS 17). But I have also seen a Reddit post that someone tried it a year ago and it did work…very strange… I did try an iPhone 14 Pro as well running iOS 17 before upgrading and that didn’t work either. Maybe it was a Siri upgrade (behind the scenes) and isn’t necessarily tied to an iOS 18 update? 🤷♂️ Thanks for sharing though!
Hi Nick, first thanks for this useful feature - I don’t know it before. Next, I rechecked pinging this morning with iPhone 13 mini and iPad 9, both running on 17.6.1 and Apple Watch SE 2020 running on 10.6.1: it works 👍
So sounds like it must have been a Siri update or something…that is strange…I’ll try it again on my iPhone as I downgraded to iOS 17 so I can get the official release of iOS 18 today. Rumoured to be later today!
One thing is that if you did not know, you can activate siri with just the word siri besides hey siri, but the new way to activate siri doesn't work if you are speaking a sentence with the word siri.
I do have the Turn by Turn on my Ford F150 via Apple Maps where my Odometer exactly where my Trucks built in Nav turn arrows normally are. I was kinda confused the first time I saw it. Google doesn't show up there thou.
Ah yes some cars do have this where it’ll either show arrow or even Apple Maps I’ve seen on a Volvo before. 3rd party apps like Google won’t show up, it would have to be the default app for the phone.
Mentioned at start it’s due very soon and added a pinned comment in the comment section that says: 🚨Rumoured release of iOS 18 on Monday 16th September! 🚨 Version tested in this video is iOS 18.1. It features some Apple Intelligence features which are only available in selected countries round the world and will be rolling out over the coming months.
Thank you! I’ve used it in cars with a vertical screen before but it always forces a landscape output. So I’m guessing that Apple have only coded landscape for CarPlay. In a recent video the BYD Seal Review I did, you can spin the screen round. But launch CarPlay vertically and it’ll spin back round again.
It's available on Volvos from around 2022 onwards running Google's AAOS system. My 2024 XC60 has a vertical centre screen and CarPlay fills it vertically. On my older XC90 it was limited to horizontal and thus occupied only half the vertical screen.
Oh yeah I completely forgot about that! I have reviewed a Volvo XC40 before and that was vertical. I stand corrected! Thanks @davemcginlay9218 😅 Yeah it defo was vertical so it could be down to the manufacturer’s coding or something?
Google maps has the sattelite view in carplay for years, the apple maps should have been the first. It just doesn’t make sense to update nonsense stuff and keep ignoring the worst flaw they have.
I covered the Beta when it first launched a few months back but this is the final version with a few updates like wallpapers and the new Siri that will eventually come out with Apple Intelligence.
It depends on the car manufacturer as it’ll be down to them and their multimedia system. I have reviewed a few car makes so might be able to tell you how 🤓 which model do you have?
Ah nice! Golf R’s an awesome car! Having spent a bit of time with that car at my local dealer I don’t believe you can. The power button in the middle just turns the whole system off. However, I think this one’s your multimedia system? ua-cam.com/video/FrECR2rB_DY/v-deo.htmlsi=b0jUwfnVPr8zJrgp I made a tips and tricks video on the previous version for existing owners so may as well send it across! 🤓. You may already know them all!
I'm not sure we should be getting too excited about Car Play going forward. It would appear that many car makers are in the 'slow lane' when it comes to Car Play due to the increasing complexity of modern cars. Also, some car makers are working more with Google than Apple. Android Auto and Android Automotive seem more popular, the latter being an entire car operating system that has been adopted by Audi, BMW, VW and Volvo.
Hi nick just placed an order for a new QEA 250+ AMG whats your thoughts should i have gone for the 350 which does about 100 mile less on a full charge but is faster thanks.
@@npoleary Hi ive got a volvo c40 3 months old but but fault with the front suspension which they have not got the upgraded parts for also we have just got my wife a new 24 fiat 500 E icon for £19000 its a really good car.
Oh nice! So I’m guessing you have a charger already at home? So to answer your original question, I would have gone for the EQA 250+ as it has more range. Yes the faster one is nice, but Electric is already very snappy and very quick as it is. I definitely wouldn’t describe it as slow!
I watched previous videos of yours and you said that you can connect a USB via a dongle . I Have tried this on multiple occasions and device not recognised . I reformatted the SD cad to multiple different formats and still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Well first off thank you! 🙏 😊 Which sort of USB, I’ve covered quite a few videos on the various accessories. Is it the USB-C to USB dongle? Or CarPlay accessories converting wired to wireless? Or CarPlay with HDMI capabilities? If it’s a USB hub, I remember reading that Mercedes systems don’t support those so I’ve never posted about them for that reason.
@@npoleary Im trying to connect a device for recording the built in dash cam, I bought a Green 2 in 1 USBC to card reader and a sandisk 128gb card. I have now done a bit of research and I believe Mercedes isn't compatible. I was reading that a USBc memory pen works instead. What do you think?
iPhone 15 pro user here, none of the apple intelligence features are there Siri looks the same. It just a new wall paper and a redesigned home button for me.
Apple announced a few days ago that it’s a slow role out…very strange for them as they usually release stuff immediately. I’ve also just bought the 16 Pro Max…which will not have any of that either (at launch)
@@npoleary thanks for the update! That’s weird, they are doing a slow roll Out for a line of code to change Siri from an orb to a square? What’s the point. What happened to the controls native vehicle features being added to car play? Wasn’t that in the developer showcase or did I miss something?
Ah that’s the bit at the end of my video. To clarify this is not being “added” to CarPlay, so no single car today will support that (annoying I know). Have a look at the end of the video: ua-cam.com/video/WSqn5E_39B8/v-deo.html&si=ih88e-f2g7bC3aRL Porsche and Aston Martin are the only car manufacturers who have announced something about this. Just these: New wallpapers, Apple Maps update, messages design update, sound recognition, pins devices on Find My, silent mode on CarPlay start, more accessibility functions
Waze does this and I’ve heard Google Maps are rolling that out too! In Apple Maps I’ve seen a setting that you can toggle on for the speed limit as well.
@@npoleary yes i use waze because of this feature ,,it is supposed to be on Google but not where i live here in Wales ,,also if you look at some of the American UA-camrs there apple car play seems to have more apps too on the screen .but what really annoys me most is the fact that on car manufacturers that fit navigation YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT FEATURE AND I AM TALKING BMW here ,as far as i am concerned that stinks
siri used to speak the response ….can’t remember what it said, but it spoke the response….for some time now, it only displays the little circle on the screen and I then make my request….i’m talking about when you initiate siri by saying hey siri…how is siri responding to you ??
Which one are you going to use? I actually don’t know how to pronounce them properly but I have seen them on games like call of duty before and of course of accessibility settings on iOS before. It just like boosts other colours and reduces some and swapping some others right?
@@npoleary Haha, I can't either. :D I use Deuteranopia; I have green blindness, not completely black-and-white vision. Some people use them in COD because they believe it helps them see the enemy better; that's true, but I have to use them to see the enemy :D :D. In cars, it's not much use for me because the interface is pretty much clear with good contrast and separate colour pallets.
have an iPhone 15, and Apple Intelligence is NOT coming to this model! 😭 something to do with only having 6gb of ram, and not the min 8gb for Apple intelligence.
I thought it was 15 and 15 pro were okay? Or did I read that wrong? I’ve tested most of it on iOS (on beta and changing the region a few weeks back) but a whole lot of it still isn’t out yet. Most will launch with iOS 18.1 for compatible phones. Which makes me think that there might still be extra things for CarPlay going forward! I’ll keep everyone posted if I see anything 👍🏼👌🏼
I used it yesterday no problem Try deleting the app and redownloading on the phone. Let me know how you get on! I have some more suggestions if that doesn’t work
I honestly have been using all 3! I cycle often between Apple Maps, Google Maps and even Waze. I was even thinking of doing a video to compare them! Apple Maps have gotten very good these days, it has brilliant navigation features with live traffic and nearly integrates with Siri and my calendar. Search is not very good, especially when it comes to inputting places. I can input something down the road and it’ll navigate somewhere in another county, it makes no sense. I’m hoping Apple Intelligence will somewhat improve it. For now I just use UK postcodes. Google Maps however is the king of search, gets it right every time. However I have on some instances seen that it offers a slower route…need to look into why. But most of the time it’s good. Waze is the best for community based live traffic and reporting of speed cameras and police. However it has the most aggressive alternative routes which some may or may not like. It will “take you round the houses” if it saves you 30 seconds of time whereas Apple Maps and Live Traffic will probably only reroute if it saves you a few mins. Waze has the cheek to take you off the motorway to rejoin the motorway at the same junction if it saves you time 😂
@@npoleary@npoleary :))) Thank you so much for your kind and detailed answer, mate. I appreciate it. I agree with waze. It did it to me, and I was like, wtf :))) Also, I subscribed What a legend! Thank you for taking the time to answer. In terms of interface in Car Play, which is your fave?
Oh I see 🤓 I love the Apple Maps one, it intelligently moves the map around so it’s easier to see. You get a text, it’ll shimmy the map up so you can see it easier. Google Maps and Waze are both good as well but I find the flow of animation on Apple Maps the best. It’s just not great at searching for stuff.
Useless upgrades IMHO, and you still have to manually switch between incoming phone calls during navigation instead of having a popup somewhere. BTW my car can duplicate Apple Maps in the monitor in between speed/rpm gauges (similar to what apple presented as the future of CarPlay but without the option to customize gauges) and it is not one of the brand they presented as collaboration agreement.
It sure can 👌🏼 ua-cam.com/video/HB4CODQmYl8/v-deo.htmlsi=JgP8kNe3g7eVieTN Volvo did it some time ago and I’ve heard from viewers that BMW offer it in some cars. But yes that pop up for calls would be pretty cool! I would like that! That is a pretty good idea! 👊🏼
I don’t care about new wallpapers until they allow us to upload and use our own wallpapers. The ones they have suck. I don’t like them and I don’t use them.
Yeah custom wallpapers should be a thing now especially in 2024 going on 2025…ah well! I’ll check it out next year! 😅 But if there are any changes in the meantime I will post a video about it!
Adverts on UA-cam are based on a user’s own experience. So for example UA-cam will only show you the number of ads that you tolerate as a user (so make sure you’re signed in on the device you’re watching from 🤓). If you’re clicking off of videos because of an ad, it’ll start to show you less however if you’re not signed in then it’ll probably show you more as it doesn’t know who you are. (If that make sense) Also ads allow me to make this video possible, the gear that I’ve bought over the years camera equipment etc, the car to film this in, the time to film it, the time to edit it and more as this is my full time job. Without ads I wouldn’t be able to do this for everyone. If ads are still really annoying, UA-cam offer UA-cam Premium which removes *all ads* for billions of videos. I pay for that myself as I find myself watching more UA-cam than actual TV 😅 YT Premium actually supports creators more than ads, so I have no issue with paying per month as I watch UA-cam vids more than anything else. If I’m not creating, I’m watching! 😂
@@npoleary tell them to learn to speak proper English. I hate it when brits use Americanisms because they are now influencers. If you ever say "what's up guys" I will never watch one of your videos again !!
Everything Tim Cooks Apple does today is really a failure. Here no custom wallpaper. Pure trash performance from the biggest tech company in the world. Theyve been pathetic since Tim Cook took over and they will suck like this until he is gone.
It's really difficult to buy a car that its entire dash is a touch screen. Not just it looks ugly, it will age an turn into a rear projection TV in a less than a decade. A solid designed car shouldn't rely on tech like Apple Car play. It must be quite the reverse. Apply Car play must accommodate.
True! I do agree that car manufacturers should offer something more than just a slab of glass in the middle. But, Apple CarPlay integrates your tech that you carry in your pocket with your car. My calendar appointments appear in the car, with the location information for the sat nav, the almost 7,000 songs I have downloaded in my music library are there now in the car regardless or not if I have signal, along with my podcasts. This is why I love Apple CarPlay, it’s the car friendly version of my phone on the screen. Car multimedia systems are good but they don’t quite completely integrate quite like that. Tesla though are very close, but they have extra perks up their sleeve with supercharging etc but that’s just a slab of glass in the middle like what you said.
@@npoleary the issue is car manufacturers want to reinvent their he wheel. Honestly an interface with a smart device is far better. This way as the technology evolves, all needed is to upgrade your phone or tablet
CarPlay sucks, never use it and have never understood why I would ever want to. Not enough app choices, can’t use your own wallpaper, interface is too difficult than the car’s native interface, etc.
I use it as it integrates my entire music library (offline as well), Apple Maps or Google Maps with free Live Traffic (cars usually charge for that after a few years). My calendar also integrates with the sat nav so I don’t need to type anything inside the car. Podcast integration for those long drives (again offline) and if someone texts, I can reply if it’s urgent.
The latest iOS is a *free* upgrade you don’t have to pay for it. Unless you mean upgrading a car that didn’t have it selected at factory? Which car are you referring to? 🤓
Apple CarPlay always has minor upgrades, the big changes would be on the next gen but (if you watched till nearer the end). I just wish car manufacturers would announce what they’re doing with it. I can’t wait for that tbh 😅 it looks awesome!

I tried it! 😜
But…looking to the future I would presume and expect the next gen CarPlay to feature this sort of thing for us music lovers! That would be good!
Now if Apple Maps would only show the exit numbers I could finally give google maps das boot.
Hoping that new cars will continue to have CarPlay. With the push for manufacturers to want to expand there in-house subscription services, some OEMs have already decided not to offer CarPlay and Android Auto. GM is one OEM that is dropping it starting in MY 2025.
apple still didn't fucking give us the ability to use our own custom wallpaper in our cars
Well short answer is they wouldn’t know 😅
Getting technical, as far as I’m aware it is not illegal to record someone’s or a companies conversation. However it is a bit different if you then intend to or plan to share it. Of course there is the courteous thing of asking or informing but if it’s for your own reference then there’s no need.
Good question though!
So we still can't navigate on a the satellite layer, but we get new wallpaper.? 🤔 I will continue to use google maps.
Yeah not sure why Apple Maps don’t allow that (in the car)….at least Google Maps does!
so annoyed they still will not put a weather app and temp icon up since this screen blocks my car's temp!
Ah yes I’ve seen a car or two that have the temp on the middle screen which means you can’t see the outside temp when using CarPlay.
It’s one of those things that you don’t notice on a test drive but then it’s not there when you want it! 😅
Having temp on CarPlay would be good though!
What does it look like if you have an iPhone 15 Pro or newer but have Apple Intelligence turned off in the iPhone settings?
Normal Siri I believe! 🤓
Off topic but Nick O’leary do you know if compatible adapters for Tesla chargers are available for Mercedes EQB?
So this depends where you live, as there are different connectors in different countries round the world.
Here in the UK, yes you can use selected Tesla Superchargers but load up their Tesla app first and check which ones are compatible.
15 Pro for new Siri
Thanks for letting me know, already added a pinned comment to the comments section.
I completely forgot that Apple introduced two different chipsets last year so it’s only on the A17 Pro Chip which is iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
Pinging of an Apple Watch works on 17 too: I checked it right now and it played sound.
That’s very strange, I tried it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max before filming and it didn’t work (running iOS 17). But I have also seen a Reddit post that someone tried it a year ago and it did work…very strange…
I did try an iPhone 14 Pro as well running iOS 17 before upgrading and that didn’t work either.
Maybe it was a Siri upgrade (behind the scenes) and isn’t necessarily tied to an iOS 18 update? 🤷♂️
Thanks for sharing though!
Weather forecast display on screen when you ask Siri for the weather forecast
Very true! But I meant an actual graphical weather app 😊 I want one of those 😎
still no weather widget :(
Yeah I know :(
Be careful when recording calls. In the US all parties have to agree to be recorded. If not that is illegal wiretaping.
The other person on the call will surely be asked (by their phone), if they approve the recording before it can start…
Yeah in countries that have tighter restrictions they might have a longer prompt or something. We’ll have to see what Apple do 🤓
One thing is that if you did not know, you can activate siri with just the word siri besides hey siri, but the new way to activate siri doesn't work if you are speaking a sentence with the word siri.
You sure can! That was last year’s iOS 17 update 😜
ua-cam.com/video/O6M-GdPZR1M/v-deo.html&si=IjfkvcfLsdr5kjHr
First day after upgrade. It crashed twice on way to work, once on way home. Not off to a good start Apple!!
Nick, how do you update it to a new 2024 AMG?
Mentioned at start it’s due very soon and added a pinned comment in the comment section that says:
🚨Rumoured release of iOS 18 on Monday 16th September! 🚨
Version tested in this video is iOS 18.1. It features some Apple Intelligence features which are only available in selected countries round the world and will be rolling out over the coming months.
Apple Intelligent will only be available on iPhone 15 Pro or any iPhone 16 .Not the standard iPhone 15.
Ah thanks for clarifying, I’ve added a pinned note to the comments section and the description 🙏
nice video. why is Apple car play not avalible for a vertical screen?
Thanks @davemcginlay9218 😅
Yeah it defo was vertical so it could be down to the manufacturer’s coding or something?
I’m just here for the new wallpapers after they gave us dog 💩ones in the previous OS.
😂
Well there’s light mode and dark mode wallpapers now! 👊🏼
Google maps has the sattelite view in carplay for years, the apple maps should have been the first. It just doesn’t make sense to update nonsense stuff and keep ignoring the worst flaw they have.
Good job you can use both on CarPlay! 🤓
I guess you use Google Maps more?
Isn’t this video the exact same as one of the ones you did before? Really struggling to find a difference here
I covered the Beta when it first launched a few months back but this is the final version with a few updates like wallpapers and the new Siri that will eventually come out with Apple Intelligence.
Any way to turn the screen off while driving without it turning off radio/streaming?
Never found a way to do this 🤷♂️
It depends on the car manufacturer as it’ll be down to them and their multimedia system. I have reviewed a few car makes so might be able to tell you how 🤓 which model do you have?
@@npoleary VW Golf8 R. Looking online I don't think it's possible.
Ah nice! Golf R’s an awesome car!
Having spent a bit of time with that car at my local dealer I don’t believe you can. The power button in the middle just turns the whole system off.
However, I think this one’s your multimedia system?
ua-cam.com/video/FrECR2rB_DY/v-deo.htmlsi=b0jUwfnVPr8zJrgp
I made a tips and tricks video on the previous version for existing owners so may as well send it across! 🤓. You may already know them all!
@@npoleary Thanks 👍
I'm not sure we should be getting too excited about Car Play going forward.
It would appear that many car makers are in the 'slow lane' when it comes to Car Play due to the increasing complexity of modern cars.
Also, some car makers are working more with Google than Apple.
Android Auto and Android Automotive seem more popular, the latter being an entire car operating system that has been adopted by Audi, BMW, VW and Volvo.
I’m holding out for next gen CarPlay (whatever it’ll be called)
Just want to see and experience one for myself!
Using the steering wheel to control car play always seems absolutely useless in my car! (EQB)
Yeah that might not be the best experience, it might work in some cars but I always use the central controls, wheel, touch screen etc for CarPlay.
Hi nick just placed an order for a new QEA 250+ AMG whats your thoughts should i have gone for the 350 which does about 100 mile less on a full charge but is faster thanks.
Ah very nice! If I was ordering one I’d go for the Long Range version almost every time.
What car did you have before? And have you had an EV before?
Any ideas?
Dongles don’t work in all cars. Also not all cars have enough power in the usb port for it to work . If that’s the case you need a a Y cable
Well first off thank you! 🙏 😊
Which sort of USB, I’ve covered quite a few videos on the various accessories.
Oh yes anything that plugs directly in would work, hubs do not work sadly on Mercedes.
iPhone 15 pro user here, none of the apple intelligence features are there Siri looks the same.
That’s weird, they are doing a slow roll
Out for a line of code to change Siri from an orb to a square? What’s the point. What happened to the controls native vehicle features being added to car play? Wasn’t that in the developer showcase or did I miss something?
Ah that’s the bit at the end of my video.
To clarify this is not being “added” to CarPlay, so no single car today will support that (annoying I know).
Have a look at the end of the video: ua-cam.com/video/WSqn5E_39B8/v-deo.html&si=ih88e-f2g7bC3aRL
Porsche and Aston Martin are the only car manufacturers who have announced something about this. This will only brand new cars that have this functionality built in.
@@npoleary I see. Sorry. I missed the end. But truthfully, I am a die-hard apple fan have had an iPhone since the first iPhone but Tim Cook is not an innovator and does nothing to excel any of apple’s devices. This and the latest iPhone seem “phoned in” just to say it’s an upgrade. No disrespect to you! I love your content. Just sharing overall feedback.
I guess if you don’t have the new iPhone everything in the video is just the same old CarPlay ? 😂🤷🏻♂️
Just these: New wallpapers, Apple Maps update, messages design update, sound recognition, pins devices on Find My, silent mode on CarPlay start, more accessibility functions
On maps when are going to see speed and road speed
Waze does this and I’ve heard Google Maps are rolling that out too! In Apple Maps I’ve seen a setting that you can toggle on for the speed limit as well.
@@npoleary yes i use waze because of this feature ,,it is supposed to be on Google but not where i live here in Wales ,,also if you look at some of the American UA-camrs there apple car play seems to have more apps too on the screen .but what really annoys me most is the fact that on car manufacturers that fit navigation YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT FEATURE AND I AM TALKING BMW here ,as far as i am concerned that stinks
years ago siri would answer verbally in my vehicle and now it just puts the siri circle on the screen…wish they would bring back the verbal response…
Siri always responds back to me
How does it respond to you when in the car?
siri used to speak the response ….can’t remember what it said, but it spoke the response….for some time now, it only displays the little circle on the screen and I then make my request….i’m talking about when you initiate siri by saying hey siri…how is siri responding to you ??
Those colour modes are for people with colour blindness like me 😂 you wouldn’t use it until you are one ☝️
@@npoleary Only the 15 Pro or M1 iPad and up support Apple Intelligence as they have the 8GB RAM or more while the regular iPhone 15 only has 6GB.
Ah that makes sense, thanks for letting me know! 🙏
Hey, Siri, what’s a woman cave? A kitchen!
any waze users out there?
It is non existent in carplay after updating to ios 18
I used it yesterday no problem
Try deleting the app and redownloading on the phone. Let me know how you get on!
I have some more suggestions if that doesn’t work
Hello everyone i just got a car with apple car witch map do you prefer and why?? Google , apple, waze?? I mean using it in car play
No worries and thank you! 🙏
Oh what like in the wallpaper? Or the icon layout? 🤓
@@npoleary the map apps interface UI like how they look when you are using them or how user friendly they are .
Oh I see 🤓
I love the Apple Maps one, it intelligently moves the map around so it’s easier to see.
It sure can 👌🏼
ua-cam.com/video/HB4CODQmYl8/v-deo.htmlsi=JgP8kNe3g7eVieTN
Volvo did it some time ago and I’ve heard from viewers that BMW offer it in some cars.
But if there are any changes in the meantime I will post a video about it!
How many damned adverts????
Adverts on UA-cam are based on a user’s own experience. So for example UA-cam will only show you the number of ads that you tolerate as a user (so make sure you’re signed in on the device you’re watching from 🤓). If you’re clicking off of videos because of an ad, it’ll start to show you less however if you’re not signed in then it’ll probably show you more as it doesn’t know who you are. (If that make sense)
Also ads allow me to make this video possible, the gear that I’ve bought over the years camera equipment etc, the car to film this in, the time to film it, the time to edit it and more as this is my full time job. Without ads I wouldn’t be able to do this for everyone.
If ads are still really annoying, UA-cam offer UA-cam Premium which removes *all ads* for billions of videos. I pay for that myself as I find myself watching more UA-cam than actual TV 😅
YT Premium actually supports creators more than ads, so I have no issue with paying per month as I watch UA-cam vids more than anything else. If I’m not creating, I’m watching! 😂
@@npoleary Absolute rubbish! I click skip ads as soone as possible! Based on my usage, there shouldn't be any ads!
It’s not “bayter” it’s “beetah”. Speak English ffs!
Beeta / Beyter…Tomato / “Tomahto”
Just practicing for my American viewers 😜. They also tell me off when I spell colour like this instead of color 😅
@@npoleary tell them to learn to speak proper English. I hate it when brits use Americanisms because they are now influencers. If you ever say "what's up guys" I will never watch one of your videos again !!
😂😂
Sorry I’ve often started with that in other videos so the damage has already been done 😳
Everything Tim Cooks Apple does today is really a failure. Here no custom wallpaper. Pure trash performance from the biggest tech company in the world. Theyve been pathetic since Tim Cook took over and they will suck like this until he is gone.
What features would you like to see on CarPlay (apart from custom wallpapers haha)
Oh I should add, custom wallpapers should be a thing though, it’s 2024 going on 2025!
Sorry but not paying £299 for apple car play.
The latest iOS is a *free* upgrade you don’t have to pay for it. Unless you mean upgrading a car that didn’t have it selected at factory? Which car are you referring to? 🤓
Gee a new wallpaper and a new sir animation. I'm really excited ....🥱
Apple CarPlay always has minor upgrades, the big changes would be on the next gen but (if you watched till nearer the end).
I just wish car manufacturers would announce what they’re doing with it. I can’t wait for that tbh 😅 it looks awesome!
