Why can’t I use a pellet rifle or pistol?
You can. I have a Gamo .22 pellet rifle and it came with .22 shot shell adaptor and some .22 shot shells. Works very well with a .22 pellet as well as the .22 shot shell.
Is the price $800?
Website says the MSRP is only $491 so if I had to guess I’d say you could find and get it for around $350? Not a bad price.
Damage your rifling with lead?
…and plastic? 😂

It's *steel* shot in the shotshells, which is why he noted that (pretty sure anyway). You'd have to shoot a lot of it out of a rifled barrel to really beat it up, but I suppose it's possible. I ran a TON of these shotshells (various brands) through my old Nylon 66, and it's still very accurate, particularly given its' usage and all. Mine seemed to have similar patterns (so many years ago though) from what I recall, although I doubt I tested it much past 15-20' or so.

@@jamessholtey9111 Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen/shot shotshells with lead shot, but it's been a long time since I've fooled around with them at all (I just had to check out this video, sort of remembering back to days of putting a gajillion holes in soda cans with these ;-]).
Certainly not an issue with lead shotshells, outside of normal cleaning (something else I almost never did to my Nylon 66, I bet I cleaned it a couple of times in many years of shooting as a kid...).
I'd curious to see what it does to a ground hog at 8-10 yards. My guess is it wouldn't be lethal at that range for something of that size.
Not ethical… shot size is way too small to be effective on something the size of a groundhog.
You can do the same thing with a Jack Russell terrier and have a companion.
I live in the city, and there is rats squirrels and snakes, because I live near an unkept ditch. Is this gun allowed in the city.
That kind of looks cheap.. and I like Henry’s
