I love going back in time watching your earlier video’s I really wish I were there, you are awesome John, I’m glad your nephew made the river crossing without going down, I was torn between concern and laughter. Should have let him film your crossing.
Good vid bud, nice little camp you got there, the lad nearly had an early bath lol, when river crossing cut a third leg for balance and cross facing upstream, nice 1, atb, Paul.
Another Epic - loving the new (old) spot dude - shame to hear about the fate of the debris village - you should have a village gathering before it goes, so at least you can send it off in style lol - then you could have a mass cooking of sweet and sour balls with noodles hahhaha.........Uncle Ben would be sold out!!!!! Liking the "oven" - was that just a pot on its side with a grill/mesh slid inside??............ Looking forward to the next vid mate All the best Mark
Cool video, I was wondering why you don't use a fire pit with the vent hole connecting to it. It may not be great for your location but where I'm from it's dry so that type of fire is preferred (since it's less likely to get blown or kicked and is relatively smokeless)
Awesome John truly awesome, gonna have to get ma self one of those little grill things just to stash at one of my base camps looks so much easier.. ATB Paul
Awesome video, you really eat well. You did a great job o the camp and had fun too. How well did your nephew sleep in the tent? Zebra pots work perfectly. Thanks for showing us how to camp in style. All the best, Ted in Alabama, USA .
Good camp guys. But by god, the amount of food you consume on you trips stuns me, i'd get real big if i ate like that, and your both only skinny fella's! Thanks guy's.
Cracking video as ever mate, brilliant basecamp too, just out of interest, have you ever had any grief off anyone for carrying/using your chainsaw in the woods? Am starving hungry now! Thanks for posting, Nick
Just subscribed to your channel and love the camp layouts! I have to ask you because I'm a little new to this but would you mind telling me or showing how you pack in your food? Specifically your meats? How do you keep them from going bad? In the first solo night video I watched, your bacon was a day old in the rucksack and in this one you're eating pork chops on the second day? Are you packing some kind of ice containers to keep the meat from spoiling? Awesome videos - thanks for posting them. :D
Valerifon1 this is a good question my meat go in a cold bag with the rest of my food keep it in the dark and out the sun you can put the bag of food in a running river or streem to keep it cold and try keep it in the packs you buy it in to
Valerifon1 for the second and 3 rd day this time of the year I freez my food down at home and pack it frozen then it's defrosts on its own in time for the second day and will be good for the 3 rd and 4 th day
***** and is you store your frozen with your fresh in plastic bags it will turn your bag in to a fridge and keep all your stuff cool as its defrosting for the other days so I pick thin meat like chops cos there going to defrost for the second day faster than a joint of meat would so you have the joint of meat on the 3rd day if you get my drift im not the best at explaining think in tex lol
All right, brother.More an adventure of the lord of the woods. Cheers. His Brazilian fan Marcello ... a. do not. Forget to fish and eat fish. KkkkgargLights
why do people eat like its going out of fashion when camping? You know they arn't far from home because of the huge weights in their pack they are carrying. They eat like they have arrived in a refugee camp and are starved / going to starve to death within a mere 48 hours. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and apple pie made in an oven and eaten on plates....how in any shape is that 'wild camping'? it's not, this is glamping. surprised its not on airBnB yet !
This isn't about survival, hunting or starving yourself half to death just to prove a point!!...it's about his hobby Building a little campsite, he works hard to build, maintain, likes his food and is a good cook!!...watch something else then, if to you, camping is about drinking piss and eating maggots for tea !! Smh!....
legend outdoors, ground dweller, hammocker, cooking up a storm, shelter building in all weathers..inspiration!!
