Chwee Kueh is a popular breakfast in Singapore. Have you tried Uncle Peng's Chwee Kueh? Tell us about your favourite breakfast hawker food in Singapore!
chwee kueh, sing kueh, chee chong fun and fried noodles all this are my favorite chinese breakfast which i grew up with.. cant get this all in where i live now in penang malaysia, one or two places have chee chong fun but nothing can beat what i had back home in singapor...! thanx for the upload... by the way there is no particular place to mention, good food all over any hawker center..😁
Thank you for making this video! Love to see our heritage being recorded on video. Doing my own Malay kuih, I can tell you it's not easy trying to retain this heritage and yet no one wants to take over or learn this trade. Years of serving people has taken a toll on uncle's back I think. May uncle be granted good health and wealth when he retires. Would love to learn his recipe. Thank you @HappyCat for this video.. 👏👏👏👏👏
Man i miss chwee kueh, grew up eating that. Thanks for making these vids, its like preserving the heritage of hawker food which is dying slowly because no one wants to do that as a job.
OMG! poor grandmpa he's doing everything by himself isn't anyone else in his family that could help him with his work. May God bless grandpa with longevity medical student Malaysia..👍👏😋

He is really fantastic n invincible at 82! He should rent an unit in the mall to continue his biz. So that more pple can enjoy his 水糕。Hopefully some entrepreneurs can support him.
It is common now due to expansion of some well known brand and are mostly factory made.. Uncle and his method of production is one of the last artisan.
Nice slow mo, though you noticed the shutter effect on the fluorescent light. Try changing the setting of the lighting (one of the option) from 60hz to 50hz (SG use 50hz)
@@HappyCat.CarlNeo Totally agree with you. I salute you for being so active at your age.Pray that you have the same Vigour and health to continue further🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️🙏🙏🙏

This is his second home, his friends and customers for generations came to visit him often too.

In Kuntien, we called it mi pan (local pronunciation). Nowadays, only in certain places can be found.
Is it cooked by chinese too? This is quite common in Singapore Hawker center.
@@HappyCat.CarlNeo yes, cooked by Chinese. In Kuntien, mi pan is Khek version. I don't know what teochew or hokkien people call it.
