thanks so much for posting this! I've been making dumpling skins the old fashioned way by taking each piece of dough individually and rolling it out with a small rolling pin. It works but it takes forever. I can use this method to produce many more dumplings with more consistent size, texture, and thickness. ❤
@@davidy22 : You maybe right, but doing it your way takes heck of a lot longer and gonna make the dumpling cost a whole lot more. I've made mandu at home using store bought skins and I've had no probs if you buy the right brand, bursting or otherwise. I already find making the filling with kimchi, chopped buchu (the green thingys), ground pork, and glass noodles laborious enough. Making my own skin? Fuhgedaboudit!
And this is why the dumplings are delicious because of the work they'd put in during the making, cutting and cooking process. Everything steps need ultimate patience and diligence to make it work.🥰🥰🥰

Sure, pushing the unprocessed dough up against the roller lets you get the initial flattening done in one pass instead of 2 or 3 because it prevents tearing, but all it takes is one slip and your fingers and hand are getting pulled in. That big yellow "no hands" warning sticker is there for a reason.
I was thinking the same thing! I have worked with heavy machinery before and the awful awful things that can happen when you are careless like this would make anyone sick. I hated to see him using his hands.
That's why he don't push his fingers towards the machine. He uses his palm instead when it's going near the roller since once his fingers touched the roller it will be hard to pull it out. But seriously my anxiety just went 📈📈 watching him do that over and over again 😨
