Legendary fight! Thank you for this quality
Thanks for watching and sharing
Joe was a great fighter
I used to run into Joe at the Getty Gas station on 24th and Broad street where I used to work while going to med school in 2006. He would be wearing a gold chain with the words smokin Joe written on it. He would come in for Pick 4 lottery and always played the exact same 4 numbers. I would give him his lottery tickets. People of Philadelphia would have so much respect for him they would quickly move aside in line and let him go first.
Buster finally fell to Joe's meat grinder assault, but he moves well for a big man.
Subscribed! I just found your collection of fights from way back in the day. Thank you for posting
I think Joe lost to Mathis in the Olympics. Joe wasn't happy he said Buster was talented but didn't put in the work
It was the trials for the Olympics and Buster did it twice. This was Joe getting his revenge.
Smokin joe himself
I must be blind but what punch did the damage? Or did buster fall from exhaustion?
left hook
I watched it 5 times and still didnt see the shot it must of been a phantom punch like Ali threw against Liston or I am going blind.@@chrisaguirre4771
Tight inside left hook
Who was ahead on points at the point of the knockout?
Its in the description
If Fraizer fough Ali much earlier like maybe in 1968 how do you think that fight would have turned out ? I mean the Vietnam fiasco never came up and Ali was never stripped of his heavyweight title, Ali was in his prime at that time and he was really really fast and nobody could beat him at that time, so how do you think that fight would turned out ?
Actually Ali couldn't defeat joe frazier with ease however without doubt Muhammed Ali would beat frazier only by late rounds tko or unanimous decision. When we consider that Ali's fight against 1974 this show that prime Ali can complete match without take left hook which dangerous punch from frazier. Damn USA government restricted Ali's advance in his career. What a shame.
😊
Smokin' Joe...!
When a person says more advanced than people of an era that means more than one person, it doesn't mean like you kept saying for some odd reason joe meaning 1 person, you're very slow you didn't pay attention in school did you
People in my video which you lied saying it doesn't show yet it does Galento way less advanced pressure fighter than frazier, stood right in front of Joe mutiple times not throwing shots very sloopy, and had no head movement, galento wasn't hard to hit frazier was, frazier wasn't sloopy, galento was and off balance alot
Baer a bully type pushed using his head joe into the corner very easily, was known as a hard puncher yet couldn't damage Joe enough and was tall, and didn't use his reach well,a real hw who was so called as strong as him would've easily been able to grazed joe and had him in retreat, joe never was in retreat
Foreman was way stronger and way smarter and way more advanced than Baer
Billy is a man ali beat even before he was prime, Bill has a similar stance to louis without all the obsolete tech and flaws

Okay...now you are trying to change your tune.
I'm responding and always have responded to the disrespect that you have toward Joe Louis.
He was not slow & plodding...like you used to type out.
It looks like you have erased your previous comments.
Which is why there are so many of my comments above and on other sites with out context to them.
Yes, back in the day boxing wasn't as advanced overall but Joe Louis was WAY ahead of his time and could still to this day, back in his prime, beat any boxer that has stepped into a ring.
@@ascendediam
You can go ahead and talk about other fighters if you want...but that's not what initiated our discussions.
Instead, it was about Joe Louis and the disrespect you showed for him.
A man who deserves respect for all that he accomplished both inside & outside the ring.
We are done...at least, I am.
HOO-YAH & God Bless the Great Joe Louis.

How long will it take you to make all these fighters louis fought as advanced as the guys in 70s I named,if you can't do that can you delete the footage of the louis matches since they all exist?
Frazier wouldn’t touch gloves.
Last vid I saw him on he was old and in tears about his life.
Buster's camp put out the word that the only reason Joe won the Olympic Gold Medal in 1964 games was due to Buster being injured during the Olympic trials & unable to compete. Frazier was pissed about that!!
@@corneliusneil6128thats true though, buster beat joe twice in amateurs and was to go to olympics, but he got injured so joe went instead.
Watch closely at 7:50. Frazier rips a body shot and Mathis, with his back to the camera, doubles over.
Where the hell did Jim Jacobs get the weights for this fight? Officially, Mathis was 243 1/2 and Frazier 204 1/2. Sorry, but I’m a stickler for accuracy, especially when we have official statistics.
