This legit might be one of the best film analysis essays I've ever seen. Beautiful, simple, yet incredibly informative

I honestly didn't enjoy Oppenheimer as much as I hoped to, though I have tremendous respect for what Christopher Nolan was able to accomplish, especially after watching your video. There is so much to praise about the storytelling and production, and it is fascinating to dissect everything going on in the story, but there was so much going on in the story, so many storylines and subplots being told simultaneously at such a breakneck pace and in such a confusing order, so many characters to keep track of and themes and ideas thrown out to consider, that for most of the movie I was totally lost. For the first 45 minutes I had no idea what was going on and was just waiting for the movie I came for to start. During the whole Manhattan project I finally got to enjoy the more or less linear story I was expecting, though it felt rushed because Nolan clearly wasn't all that interested in the project itself, then for the last hour I was relieved to finally start getting answers as to how the two storylines fit together, but I was also kind of just waiting for the movie to end because it felt like the climax had already happened with the end of the war. So ultimately just a bizarre experience that throws all traditional storytelling ideas out the window, and I'm not sure how I feel about it because I can see the tremendous intelligence that went into it, but I also had a hard time enjoying it as I watched it cause just felt lost and had to go back to study it to really understand it.

Amazing analysis. Makes me wonder why Strauss' story B is called Fusion though

(Also if next video ends up being about Dune, I would be able to die happy)

i really want nolan to go back to the movies like prestige. something about not very techy with the movies but pure rely on storytelling. and collaborate with different people now. new cinematographer, new musicians, with other scrip writers. and personally i feel the best nolan movie is hands down dunkirk.
