For some strange reason, these videos really appeal to me. I can’t put a finger on it as to the exact appeal but I’ve watched every one of your uploads and I look forward to new ones. You’ve also inspired me to get in the kitchen more, which my wife is grateful for. Thanks so much for your awesome work!
It’s soothing to watch something simple being done with care and consistency. Brings order to an otherwise disorderly world. The poetry of frying an egg.
dude, totally the same feeling. i"ve always been a big BBQ guy, but I have been doing more kitchen cooking which my wife loves. I have always been bad at timing, and Mr T's channel has really helped in that respect.
1:30 my man obsessing over poached eggs. I feel his pain. I've spent an ENORMOUS amount of time learning how to boil, poach, fry, sous-vide eggs in every single way. It deserves an entire textbook. One magical egg I have never found out how to replicate is my local coffee-shop's avocado toast topper. It's a soft-poached egg, but it is EXACTLY egg-shaped. If it's boiled, then how did they get it out of the shell? There's no way they could have poached it and maintained the shape. Food fans lemme know if you have a clue.
And by "food fans" I mean especially you awesome cooks and chefs who know what they're doing. PS I hope he doesn't get a copyright strike for whistling Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellite.
Is it possible they used one of those little cups you submerge into the water, and it was egg shaped? Purists say that's not really a poached egg, but I think they're quite nice. Each cup has a little handle.
If you poke a small hole in your egg before you boil it, it keeps its shape much better. A lot of people use a bent paperclip on the top of the egg before you throw it in to boil. Asian chefs do this a lot with soft boiling eggs for ramen, if you look up on youtube how to make ramen with soft boiled eggs you'll probably find a good example.
You've done wonders to my poached egg game! Used to swirl the water round in the pan but as you've shown us its not needed. The open toastie trick with the paper on the top is also genius. I'd try that one out, just a shame I'm not eating bread :D

I've now bought squirt bottles to be able to add water to steam my fried eggs that I cook on a flat planchette covered with a saucier on my panini-maker because I'm learning tricks here :D This is also incredibly relaxing to watch! Having recently become my children's sole caregiver, and simultaneously diving into cooking while being full-time employed, I need every shortcut and trick I can get, and you're content is AMAZINGLY helpful. Thank you!!
The lady at the end made me facepalm. These people work incredibly hard and long hours, especially Tibor, and do a phenomenal job for these employees with a positive and acommodating attitude making whatever they want. This isn't a restaurant, it's a canteen, for god's sake. I have worked as a server in many restaurants long ago but even as a patron, I couldn't imagine making such complaints to a chef. Life is grand enough where you can bear it and move in if your dish isn't perfectly to your liking, and not damper people's days and hard-working efforts because of it.
@@anthonyseghers1575 She was complaining about the butter not being easy to spread (since she is paying for the bread and wants melted butter on it), and Tibor is saying that due to rules, the butter must be kept in the fridge. I know. Interesting how UA-cam comments changed the way I use the grill etc.. Even though no-one ever complained about brown omelettes (and some preferred it), I'm much happier with my never videos. I guess we can always improve our ways 👌😀👍
Excellent way to handle the disgruntled woman at the end. I'm sorry but we have rules and policies and I can't do it. Way to stand strong to your guidelines

No we generally don't eat cake for breakfast. It's eggs n' things, simple toast, or cereal (mostly not the sickly sugary kind). For the most part, at least.
I'm from the UK, and i personally do have waffles and pancakes for breakfast, sometimes with syrup and fruit, other times with eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausages etc. It's just personal preferance, not everyone is the same
I know I am late to reply to you but people don't understand health department policy is policy and we can not go against that I worked at a Taco Bell and we accidentally handed the wrong order to two people got the numbers confused and one walked outside when they noticed. By health regulation we had to remake that order for the customer and we had bolth say no just hand (her) the bag i just returned and when we said we couldn't they threatened to report our store we looked like go ahead call the health department they will tell you we did our job.

Once it hits the bottom of the glass still in it's foil... Submerge the bottom of the glass in the warm simmering water that's used for the Poached Eggs... I'm doing the same as Sticky Stuff. Sous vide + blanch in hot water. Or poach in cling film.

Mr. T does it again - I wonder, are pancakes and waffles not a typical breakfast choice in the UK?
The Poms prefer greasy protein rich brekkys over the sweet stuff, I couldn’t stomach pancakes or waffles at brekky😖
I'm sure people do have it, but it's certainly not as popular here as it is in the states

Compared to other cooked eggs, poached seem more difficult to gauge how cooked they are.
