Thanks! And I appreciate the suggestions! Yeah I think I was too focused on finding payoffs that contributed red pips for devotion, the solution might just be a colorless finisher. We're even getting more options on that front pretty soon with the additional Eldrazi titans in MH3. I'll need to revisit this
I love your content, you're one of my favorite streamers. So, I just wanted to give you some constructive criticism. While Leyline of Lightning is indeed annoying, it is more annoying that you mentioned it being annoying every time it came up in your commentary. You could have made fun of it in your commentary ironically, never mention it at all, or just address it once or twice, for example. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for kind words and the advice! Sorry about harping on it too much lol. I think the endless triggers during gameplay was one thing, but what pushed me over the edge was seeing all that again during editing. And those triggers cause video bloat and make it more work for me on the backend. Still, I want to improve and appreciate feedback! I agree it probably would have been funnier to just mention how much I loved the card and how it keeps the game interesting by giving you more things to do haha

You too! Seriously, it's gonna be rough. I draft to get my rares/mythics and I tend to eventually go rare-complete for the main set. But the bonus sheets and special guest stuff are much harder to collect. The fact that all the special guests are Mythics on Arena is lame/predatory, but at least many can be ignored. Except MH3 has a particularly loaded special guest roster with the Evoke elementals. That's a lot of mythic wildcards... and I still need to craft stuff like Blood Moon.
Have you ever played a card that really annoyed you? Looking at you Leyline of Lightning lol

Do you think Lightning Bolt would be too strong for Pioneer?
@@priorityholder Unfortunately, yeah. I'm no expert, but I think the MH3 energy-bolt Galvanic Discharge would even be too much.

fanatic of mogis? crackle with power or banfefire maybe... inferno titan, wurmcoil engine, cityscape leveler all pretty solid as creatures
also the karn that fetches from your sideboard
@@kiDchemical Thanks for the suggestions! Fanatic of Mogis might work, it just compares so unfavorably to Gray Merchant: less Devotion, no life gain, dies to Push and Bolt. I think Fanatic would shine in an aggro-Devotion style with like Burning Tree Emissarys and Eidolon of the Great Revel.
I also like the big X spells you mentioned, but worry that our mana generation is often not large enough.
I genuinely didn't know Inferno Titan was on Arena lol. I think it would be great to try out, I just wish I wasn't so pressed on Mythic wildcards.
Wurmcoil and Cityscape are very interesting. I wasn't thinking about Colorless closers, you might be on to something there!

Maybe Caldera Breaker or Kayla's Kindling. Both are still pretty slow. Uthgardt Fury might be an upgrade over Roiling Vortex.
