I was honestly iffy about getting the ss figure because of the obvious problems it has but now that I’ve had it in my hands for 2 days now, it’s actually such a cool figure and I’m extremely happy about it. Sure posing isn’t the best but it’s not the end of the world if he can’t touch his toes. His transformation is honestly one of the most satisfying ones and unique. Not to mention he looks amazing from the front and everything cleans up nicely with the added bonus of being able to take off the hood backpack. The only 2 downsides I have is how he looks from the side and my figure can’t hold is guns tightly but that’s an easy fix. I would highly recommend picking him up if you have the chance despite the negative comments most people have.
I'll probably get Crosshairs eventually, maybe see if I can wait for a sale, I like the character enough but this one isn't a priority buy for me with all they other awesome stuff coming out soon.
Exactly. All the new Selects, Studio Series 86, and Legacy Evolution stuff is somewhat overshadowing the Bayverse stuff for me. Last live-action figure I got was AOE Galvatron, for 23 usd.
@@dkkanofkash8798 I got The Fallen and Galvatron and they are pretty amazing figures but yeah some of the more recent figures and not as prominent characters like crosshairs, sideways etc I've put off on getting or straight up just skipped on. Hasbro has really been killing it with Transformers.
I consider Crosshairs to pretty much be the epitome of everything I find wrong with the Bayverse character designs, especially in the later movies. The whole trench coat thing sounds cool in concept, sure, but it makes designing an actual functional toy of the design a pain in the ass.
I really think they should just make his trenchcoat an accessory so that way they can put all their effort in to making crosshair as great as possible and not be dragged down by the engineering. Plus they could make the trenchcoat movie accurate.
Honestly, my thoughts on both are reversed for me. I think the TLK deluxe is leagues better in robot mode and transformation, with the SS having the better car mode. I regret passing up on the TLK figure when they popped up at Ross, but he'd be my go to Crosshairs, though I wouldn't mind owning the SS mold.

Yeah they're just now showing up in US retail, at least for me. However I had preordered Hot Rod and got him a few months back, so they shipped from ONLINE retailers earlier.
As someone who owns the TLK Crosshairs, seeing it next to the SS version is jaw dropping. The new one just cleans up so much better.
