Pain: A Transformers Story | #transformers The Last Knight Leader Dragonstorm Review - Розваги
Well, the falling head could work for a custom... but other than that? *Smashes phone, jumps on skateboard*
Yes
Yes
Ah yes the old meme suits perfectly
Damn we need an updated studio series of Dragonstorm. A commander class would be cool but a combiner like Devastator would be cool too
Yeah
SS tlk dragonstorm would be one hell of a challenge to do
If they made it a combiner it would be literally stupid, seeing as to how there is cannonnically 43 knights in that movie.
Oh fun fact-
Do not ever ask how I got that number.
If they're gonna make studio series Dragonstorm, it should be a single weaponizer/partsforming figure, so people will just buy multiples of them to form Dragonstorm, or make their own version of Dragonstorm
Pain is the perfect word to encapsulate everything having to do with The Last Knight
Cogman is a pretty great deluxe though.
Honestly, most of the figures are great. but the movie was crap, and dragonstorm is terrible. Only other awful toy was skullitron/steelbane.
@@jacobjohnson9213 I liked steelbane, he would be perfect if the chest stayed in place during robot mode.
@@90lancaster Nitro Zeus was also the saving grace
Ikr, but still for some reason I adore Mohawk's design
Steelbane and Skullitron were banger toys imo, it sucks they dropped the ball hard with Dragonstorm. The individual figures are sick looking at first glance, but also have glaring issues. Hopefully Studio Series does these guys some good justice.
I remember when Emgo reviewed this years ago, and I still find it hilarious how the head was missing.
Skullitron is SO cool.
Flimsy as hell, but man, what a design
Maybe bad quality control? My figure still has strong joints
Dragonstorm is a good figure
Hasbro will eventually get to Dragonstorm, but I wonder how they will do it. Having all the Guardian Knights combine into Dragonstorm, or have a few do that while the remaining others have their own Dragon modes. Since the number of members of the Dragonstorm combiner is inconsistent.
I'm guessing a pack of a dozen Core sized Knights that turn into a Leader-Commander size dragon
Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us. Always wanted it, and almost pulled the trigger on it, had no idea he had those nasty rubber heads.
I just found one, and my only issue is the front arms being slightly loose. Heads are in good condition.
@@josephbolcome5462 Same thing actually. Just got one this week, and only the floppy dragon arms are the issue really. But they are on ball joints, so it's barely an issue really.
@@filthyearthenoidthe floppy legs are my issue
I was SO hyped to get all the dragon knights for this toyline.
WHY couldn't they have been good!?
Really hoping Studio Series saves them. I don't even like the Bayverse aesthetic, but I like these guys and I want them done right.
Ninjago gag had me rolling
I'd love to see a movie accurate modern interpretation of these whether it be a studio series release or a 3rd party masterpiece release.
Kevin, noooo! (Gotta love a Godzilla ref)
Also, if you've got any spare Lego part separators around, I've found that the flat end works really well at prying apart parts for transformation that you'd otherwise have to use your nails or a screwdriver to pry apart, so you're less likely to chip paint, damage plastic OR yourself when having to transform figures like this.
I actually really liked the concept of this toy. Mine lasted up until a few months ago since it came out too. Coincidentally also the right head fell off for me too but that's the only issue my copy has right now.
They need to do a spiritual sequal to this toy it's a really cool idea
I ended up buying all the Knights from TLK back in the day, but due to my disappointment with the movie, they are all still sealed and sitting in my closet. Every now and then I'll think about finally opening them up, but if this is what Dragonstorm is like straight from the box I'm very worried what mine is like now. I'm also wondering if the one bot came with his robot mode head.
personally, i think this figure is quite impressive. i mean, you gotta work really hard to fuck up what should be an instant win of a three-headed dragon combiner, that takes skill.
They didn't fuck up
I often talk about older moulds that need some 3D printing love this one is a prime example
Peace is temporary.
Pain is eternal.
Oh Thank you for making this video, I've been wondering how this thing transformed for years.
i am just going to make my own out lego but thank you for the heads up on it.
The First Review I ever watched from you!
I also just recently got it after long deliberation, and I'm really glad I bought it.
But that's for three reasons: I got mine real cheap (boxed for less than 20 USD with shipping included), I knew about terrible QC beforehand, and I really lucked out and got a copy with none of the major issues.
So, these things considered, I'm really smitten with him. The bot modes are ok, but I really love the dragon mode.
The middle dragon head on my first copy broke off on me. 2nd one had no issues after being extra careful in freeing it from the box.
OK how about this idea.... once they are done with the Junkions.
the next disassembly / combiner figure could be the Dragon Knights. you could bodge together how ever many of them to make increasingly larger dragons.
There Is an awesome OSKO of this guy with diecast, ratchets and better connection points. He is Much harder to find nowadays but saying that, if you do find one, it's a good score.
A studio series dragonstorm combiner would be really cool, alongside a studio series infernicus combiner, too.
Stormreign being red or not...and the way Dragonstorm works in the movie...I just chalk it up to the same simple explanation as certain things in Metroid that don't always add up: "BIRD MAGIC*. (And it's more reasonable than Power Rangers Operation Overdrive's "Sentinel Knight did it"...)
Being the Last Knight, we can LITERALLY say "a wizard did it" lmao
Metroid and transformers my two favourite things
Nice review got one back in 17 and liked it, do think it should be a commander class or even a titan class figure if given the chance for studio series just made up of one bot with some cool accessories like the Merlin staff and weapons
They should release studio series versions of both of the main deception combiners (this dragon and the horned guy? I wanna say Infernicus?) As a leader price but a package of like 10 core class or whatever.
Imagine combining 10 core class to have very fluid movement with fun little designs for each.
0:29 A minor correction: Kevin is the LEFT head. The right head is Ni, and the center head is Ichi. According to the Godizlla fans, at least.
Also, never knew you were a fan of Ninjago. Nice.
Very true
I remember when I got it, the 1st thing it did was the middle head fall off and ever since I never even transform it and just put it on my shelve.
I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you had any plans to do another old vs new because I love those videos and really want some more
No sé si fue suerte, pero en mi caso ordené un Dragonstorm para Perú, y cuando llegó no tuvo los problemas de la cabeza que se salía o piezas que se caían, fue raro, en fin, el vídeo me saco algunas risas, sigue así broo
I have this figure, it broke about 2 years ago and I remember liking it back then, idk if I would like it now since I didnt really have any CHUG figures back then. If I were to make an ss Dragonstorm, the way I would do it would be o make 4 weaponizer knight moulds with unique dragon modes. Then retool each of them twice to result in 12 figures, then let people make whatever dragons they wanted. I think the modular system would work best for how the wings would need to work on a combiner of that scale.
YESSS! It’s about time you reviewed this! I was so exited to get it as a kid but then found out how utterly garbage it was
How is it garbage? Its class!
I have bought dragon storm when he first came out a few years ago and to this day I don’t know where the heads went , mine broke off literally 2 weeks after getting him and now they are just gone
Huh. Last time I saw rubber melt plastic was on the ROTF Bludgeon mold where the treads eat away some of the orange plastic, which leaves the molten marks as kind of rubbery afterwards
I got one for about $20 for one that was painted chrome and that improves the whole thing greatly
Judging by the concept art, I think it was meant to be a bipedal dragon, being why it looks weird on all fours
I'd loove a SS of this!
5:54 i agree that stormrain is suposed to be red but if you look to his left we can se someone who looks much more like the toy he is heard to see because it is dark but he is there.
Since we are hoping for some new releases of these, you think you have any Armada/Energon/Cybertron mini cons you can review as a blast into the past. To maybe inspire newer collectors to see the wonders in them?
Years ago when I bought this at toysrus the head on mine broke once I brought it home. I ended up returning it and buying tlk slag and Infernocus but now I really regret that bc I miss this figure even tho its bad
I remember when this was on Amazon for pretty cheap (cheap for leaders anyway) but I didn’t get it, wish studio series would give us a big leader or even commander dragon thing
Without tertiary alt-modes like other combiners have, it should have been simple to make 12 figures that each become a small chunk of the dragon. 3 would be the heads, 1 would be the tail, 4 would be the legs, 2 for the wings, and 2 for the core body. Heck, they could even be interchangeable if you really put some effort into the engineering. Then you could make all sorts of combinations. How cool would that have been?
I remember as I was at a target one day and that figure was on clearance for $14 and my dad was saying to buy it but I instead got Ss stinger. Kinda regret that but not really
Rest in peace Kevin from Godzilla king of the monsters😂
I got this and yeah, but it makes me happy that all the broken pieces aren't my problem
I passed on this when it came out but if they did a decent studio series version, I'd be all in.
I still want one to do for a custom in the knight modes.
I ended up having a lot of fun with this figure, somehow.... It's not well made and it's not even particularly well designed, but the concept is just so cool (it works way better as 2 not 12, and this one actually transforms instead of just mushing into a bunch of spikes) that I forgave a lot. It was also really fun to custom paint.
Fortunately I never had the head issue. I keep mine in dragon mode, on its hind legs(i made a stand using thin steel wire to hold his front end up) looks best this way in my opinion. Definitely need a studio series like Devastator though.
Love the fact ya put a Godzilla joke in the review lol
Hopefully some day a 3red party company try’s to make a dragon storm combiner that’s more accurate and consistent of at lest 6 combiners but we’ll see
I hope we get a proper studio series dragon storm in like commander class at some point that has a single robot mode like the giant 1 step changer one dose
2:08 yay Ninjago theme song. That was an awesome Cartoon back in the day
Kevin is the left head, Ichi is the middle head, and Ni is the right head
i have this and all 3 heads, one of the wings, the rubber end of the tail, and a back leg all broke off within a years time of me owning it
The teeny tiny legends scale version of this dragon is really good but yeah, the leader class is a carwreck
I got it when it first came out and the head broke a few months in. And the pegs for the back legs won’t stay in till this day
If Hasbro ever made a Studio Series of this guy and it'd be a combiner, maybe they should do the named ones instead of all 12 of them. Which are 5. 1 can form the heads, 2 form the upper torso and arms aling with the wings and other 2 can form the lower torso and legs. I don't know if it'll work. I'm not a Transformers figure engineer.
Surprised you actually did a review on this guy
if this thing was well made itd honestly be pretty sick. a visually better than average dragon mode and pretty decent robot modes, its just neat
It is well made
Can you please tell me where you got your Bonecrusher….But Gray For Some Reason | #transformers Studio Series Nest Bonecrusher Review and the buzz worthy ss 44 optimus
This kinda reminds me of Placidusax from elden ring, specially the head falling out
Theory: -Stormrange- Droganicus here Was grey. He just rusted over time resulting in a red-ish look
i have this and the head also broke like 3 years ago
I still love my Dragonstorm. The only problem was that I accidentally dropped it and the center Dragon head came off😅 but other than that I had no problems with mine
I wanted this toy back in the day and I waited for it to get marked down and only two ever showed up at my walmarts and to make matters worse then no head the only that ever made to clearance was missing the middle part of the toy so the dragonmode looked kinda alright unless you knew what was going on and the box was sealed. How the fuck did it get past CC I will never know and 2 this day I still wonder
U know the buff one would make a really good action figure(ie the design ). Id buy just that
5:31 I thought that was just emgos copy I didn't know it was a wide spread problem
If not for QC, these acctually seem really cool. Want knock off that is better now.
The head on mine finally broke but enough friction to sit there so he’s staying in dragon
Could we see leader class ironhide next?
I kinda wish for a non transforming version of him either 3rd party or studio series. And make commander size.
We need Studio Series Dragon Storm made from Deluxe and Leader Class figures.
Stormrain's red is present on the toy dragon's heads, so the red could have meant he was supposed to turn into one of them.
Whoah the memes are off the charts here! Bro even brought the lean!
The same for me the exact head fell off I just super glued it
Same with the thigh of the smaller guy the mushroom peg just snapped
I was tempted by this back in the day, it was on deep discount and I love the idea knights forming a dragon. I am so glad I didn't buy it.
If they're gonna make studio series Dragonstorm, it should be a single weaponizer/partsforming figure, so people will just buy multiples of them to form Dragonstorm, or make their own version of Dragonstorm
I think Dragonstorm is a really cool character, but I'm not hunting down twelve deluxes at $25 a pop to get him. If they're going to do a Studio Series, they need to sell them together as a commander or maybe a titan.
I wonder what the Takara version is like
someone really needs to make a third party figure about the (i think) 12 guardian knights
yeah i got this as a kid lol my head broke aswell. still liked the figure
I want a SS Titan of him, but made of 12. Similar to how They made SS Devastator
Need a video of him singing the entire Ninjago Theme song now
I feel like they should do a studio series version of Dragonstorm
How is it that Mudflap and Skids was a better combiner toy? Actually I wanna find that one again. It was actually a fun one
This has the potential to be an Epic Leader in Studio series. Subjectively I'm okay with one bot/one alt opposed to multiple bots building to be one dragon as this literally fails to do. Only ever had one Transformer break out of package so definitely relatable.
These guys are 50% larger than a current leader would be, I wonder if they could have perhaps engineered a dinobot combiner with this guy in mind as a remould though each dinobot being rejigged into a dragon that makes a bigger dragon. Perhaps that would work better if it was a Live Action Movie dinobots combiner or even perhaps something using those demon looking things.. I can't see them ever making one made out of 10 of them short of some sort of big come back of Beast Hunters Predacons as a lead into to such a toy.
That would be kinda interesting though as a base model perhaps. (see Transformers Go)
Oh man I wanted to sing the ninjago song with you man I’m old
This figure is pain, a few weeks after owning it (which was a birthday gift when the movie first released) all three heads broke, they really should've used better parts for the hands/dragon heads.
I would love if studio series made all 12 knights. Honestly I don’t even need them to transform into dragonstorm. Just give me all 12 knights in like leader or commander class to make them big bodied and I’ll be like Prime at 0:44
Love the Ghidorah reference
Maybe it's like Zygarde from Pokemon, where any number of them can combine to form Dragonstorm at different sizes... maybe? Idk man i tried.
I loved this thing so much. I had 1 head fall off immediately and I just glued it back on. But I lost all interest once the second one broke. It's a really cool figure and I'd like to see another attempt at it, but this wasn't it.
Man I used to have these. I thought they were the best, but now I can’t disagree with any of this. The same dragon head kept coming off, transforming was hard and I cried when I couldn’t figure out the instructions, and god those weapons.
Good idea/concept tho and the visual themes have potential. I think it could be fully realized with the engineering I see today, or at least it would be better than this.
You could pose it where it looks like Optimus just chopped off one of the heads! LOL
i got mine like emgo.... missing head... i had it boxed for ages... then i watched emgos video..... nek minute openned up im to find no head lol
How about make it a titan class?
Thx, about to sell the one I bought.
The dragon is made of multiple knights not just 12 stormreighn forms part of it if he chooses think of devastator and his parts which can be from multiple bots there were like 20 knights and the main 12 made up the dragon but they could shift and swap
Sad to see how these toys were screwed over by quality control issues.
