Old video I know, I'm not sure if it was mentioned but the 1 1/2" cap is cover the noise pipe port on the stock throttle pipe. It's the large plastic tube running from the passenger firewall to the throttle pipe. Most people have already 86'd this pipe

yeah I know it ads a little more hoses and stuff but makes it so much easier to get to the DV as well as moving it from the hot to cold side is a major plus..... thanks for your input.

I've run these kits before, but I kept my stock throttle pipe. Instead of using the new Y throttle pipe, I simply used the existing noise pipe port, mounted the dv next to the N80 and used a slightly longer inlet tube. Then instead of using the harness extender I just repinned it with longer wires. This was long before I knew there was a kit. But in total I believe I spent $60 bucks. The block off plate is 40 I think, then what ever the 11/2" tubing and extra wire cost. My intake already had the small port as well as my stock throttle pipe. Oh also the dv adapter is sold seperate I forget how much. All in all I spent a portion of what the kit costs
I’m running this intake and dv on my 2011 vw ccc. Sounds very nice no obnoxious whistle like I had with just the intake

ive had both together, so yes it fits.
Did you find a better solution from the unitronic DV relocation kit or was it just your personal preference that you didn't like the extra hoses? I'm looking at getting the Unitronic cold air intake and was wondering if I should go ahead and get the add on coupler so I don't have to deal with removing the intake later on to install the DV kit?
i didn't try any other DV relocation kits, so i don't know if the Unitronic is the best. There are not a lot of choices. If you think you may get it some day, you might as well get that altered coupler.

lot of uni stuff is hard to find in stock.. i sold this kit a long time ago. i didnt like the added mess and hoses.

On most MK6's the Unitronic Cold-Air Intake and some others cause a high-pitched whistle at high rpms. Supposedly this DV Relocation kit gets rid of that whistle. But I have yet to install mine and see if the whistle is no more.
this kit always gets rid of the intake whistle. in addition it moves the DV from the hot side to the cold side, diverting colder air back into the system.
I seem to have a boost leak on my 14 gti after installing. Is the DV+ necessary to install this kit because it wasn't provided by unitronic?

This won’t kit won’t fit a stock intake pipe ? Am on stage 2 and I have a dv from forge it raaaaaaaaaaping my gas mileage right now just need to kno if I have to finish the rear part of my intake before I buy this kit

Adam Bingley I'd say to make it easily accessible really. Plus gives an easy swap to a blow off valve afterwards 👍🏼
Removing the Diverter Valve from the heat of the exhaust manifold improves durability, while improving functionality and responsiveness.
Borgwarner k04 comes with no dv port. This is a gold app for that
