    np enjoy your new tail light!
    I am in the process of scrapping everything I've done to my bike. Turning it into a track only bike, dont plan on riding on the street much anymore. Only going to keep the tail light, tag bracket and headlights in case i want to ride a little.

    I've never personally seen the j'neer tail light in person. Those guys look like they do great work, my only problem is that $200 is a little high of a price for me. I got my light for $60 shipped from another forum member. The other thing i dont like about the j'neer is that the brake and signal lights are separated, makes them seem small to me. But again i've never seen it in person. Great thing about the j'neer is the perfect fitment.

    It will fit, If you buy just the 05-06 tail light you have to sand it down yourself. You can buy some kits that come pre-sanded. The fitment is not the best, but it looks very good. After it's installed you really can't tell it doesn't belong there.

    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    Yeah, im thinking that would be the right thing to do.
    Trade some emails with who ever your are buying it from or go to a website that lets you pick between modifications for 05-06 and 07-08.
    Good luck.

    @cachidril Resitors came with the integrated light. If you watch the proton installation video I replace the resistors for a custom relay that is plugnplay. It works much better and you can toss the resistors away. You can find them at customled add a dotcom at the end of that.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  14 років тому

    @MrKal643 It is a modified 05-06 light that fits into the 07. I believe it is LP, im not positive though, its been so long.

    The carbon fibre doesent get anywhere near as hot as any of the metal ones. + his exhaust is way back form the light. if the actual exhaust gasses were getting around the light it would (over time) stain it. It kinda tints it haha. and looks cool on some bikes. Thanks for showing ppl to put resistors on them viewdo600rr. NICE pipe 2broz is my fav! for sound.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    i agree, if you watch my proton install video i replaced the resistors with the flasher relay. Resistors are crap!

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  15 років тому

    Nothing is required, just the way I chose to do it. Its more permanent that way. You can use whatever method you want to connect the wires.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  15 років тому

    sure
    Yellow wires are for the turn signals
    red is for the brake light
    green is for the running light
    black is for ground
    Im pretty sure thats the right order

  • @mhinz00
    @mhinz00 16 років тому

    excellent vid man!! however i think the resistors they send in the kit are trash, its much easier to get a new flasher relay from custom led

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  15 років тому

    if you buy the kit from tripageled website he also sells brackets for you to attatch the light. I have it held in there with just pressure from the fairing. Its made by Clear Alternatives.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    you can buy some small L brackets from tripageled but i just left my light held in there with pressure from the tail. It's been that way for 4 months now? No problems at all.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    will work fine with the original exhaust.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    the tape was in there just to temporarily hold the light in place. Tape is not really necessary once you get the hang of it. You can just put it in there with some pressure and the light will be pinned between the battery tray and the tail fairing.
    Let me know if you need any more clarification.

    did you think that the resistors made the turn signals brightness a lot less?because on my 00'kawasaki ninja zx6r it made them so dim you could barely see them but without them they were very bright

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    If you're installing this kit or something similar make sure to look into the LED relay(if you want stock blink rate) that i installed at the end of the proton install video. It replaces the bulky white resistors used in this video. Really easy to install, plug and play.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    if you buy this light you will have to do what i did. However there are some newer lights out there that are plug and play. You will still have to cut the tail plastic but the rest should be straight foward. Try iwinmoto tail light. I cant post the link cause youtube sucks!

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    the Clear Alternatives Integrated tail light is a modified 05-06 tailight for the cbr 600. This is simply the install, you have to purchase the light.

  • @oswaldfik
    @oswaldfik 11 років тому

    so what you have to do to the rear fairing for the light fit very well, cos i bought one and at the end of the fairing there is pretty much space, so what do you do, i see secure it with tape but then? thanx...

    Nice write up, I think I am going to trade my flush mounts in for an integrated tail light. Personally though, I do not like the look of the two brothers exhaust on the double r, great exhaust just not my cup of tea for this bike.

  • @viewdo600rr

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  16 років тому

    Should be easier on an 05. Just make sure you dont get a modified 05-06 tail light that fits an 07-08.
    My friend has an 05, it's very similar but you wont have any problems with fitment.

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  15 років тому

    Not sure, plenty enough for the exhaust to be running for 1 hour or so in stop go traffic. Doesnt get any hotter than that, especially here in florida.
    No one else has complained about melting issues in the forums either. The dealer most likely wants to install their own "mod" on your bike and charge you for it.
    I've had this setup for a little longer then this video has been up. roughly 5000 miles or so.

    600kawasakininja. There is something wrong man. dunno what but doesent sound right. get that fixed or it will rune or burn out your regulator rectifier. this goes for all you guys putting a lesser wattage aftermarket signals on any bike. especially replacing regular bulbs with smaller ones or LED s!

  • @viewdo600rr
    @viewdo600rr  15 років тому

    who ever told you that is grossly misinformed. Everyone I know of running this setup has never had their light melt. Even with the heat shield removed.
