Dear one, I woke up early to tell you this story and give you a boost since you'll never get any big ceremonies from this power structure. The actor David Niven came back to Hollywood after WWII to many colleagues talking about their war experiences a lot. Their agents insisted. David hurried home in 1939, reporting to Churchill for anything he could do. He made some charming propaganda films and went into combat but NEVER talked about his exemplary record. He went to the cemetery in Normandy for the British and with tears over fallen friends he said to himself, "David, here are 27,000 reasons not to talk about your war." You have made a huge difference for good....and you'll have the best of company.
I have an eating disorder were I don't chew my food enough. I have been diciplining myself to chew more recently one thing that has helped is watching how babies eat there food. So I went to the baby food seection just to see what they are fed before they can have proper food. To my surprise it was all organic, but pretty much all the foods contained sunflower oil. My question: Is organic sunflower oil or any organic seed oil for that matter any different to non organic? also what does "Expeller-pressed" sunflower oil mean? would that be used in organic production? Thanks Aidan
Why are "fast foods" and "junk foods" bad for us? Seed oils, crap carbs, and added sugars. The meat part of burgers is great. Unprocessed animal foods are great.
I enjoy your videos and recommendations! I've always maintained what I thought was a pretty healthy diet over the years and I knew about the omega 6 to 3 ratio but I did not realise these awful oils are so toxic. I've been using EVOO for years as an everyday dressing and for cooking but have used canola oil and others on rare occasions for deep frying. It's disappointing to see these oils in almost everything, not that I purchase many commercially produced foodstuffs, but also canola oil is often recommended in health food recipes! People really do need to do their own research and understand what they are ingesting.
With all due respect: I use vegetable oils moderately without any problem so far. Most of all they are affordable to common folks such as myself and we are too many of us outnumbered to health conscious stock. Without a doubt the whole world loves Dr. Suneel, but unfortunately his health advice is not for poor population en masse. I do have Olive oil but damn thing costs too much. Live healthy! Well wishes all.
I assume you are talking about seed oils sold in stores. Where I'm from we cold press sun flower and pumpkin seeds. One is used for cooking and the other for salads. I believe these oils are perfectly fine. They have been used since beginning of time.
There is no doubt that we are exposed to an almost inescapable overabundance of omega 6 fatty acids in our food chain, not just in processed foods. Feedstock for farmed animals, including fish, is generally very high in omega 6 FA, which is reflected in the fat composition of the meat, such as the arachidonic acid content which is a precursor in the formation of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, etc. (inflammation pathway). However, the widely adopted condemnation of omega 6 FA as a major inflammatory disease-causing factor has, so far, NOT been confirmed by clinical studies (largely absent inflammatory markers). By uncritically accepting omega 6 FA as the cause correlating to so many diseases, other important factors/co-factors may be overlooked. With regards to forming inflammatory oxidation products, the double bonds of omega 3 and 6 FA are equally reactive and can form such products in the presence of air/oxygen and heat. However, testing seed oils for changes during prolonged heating yielded no significant results. This could be somewhat different when these oils are used under certain real-life conditions. Double bonds are reactive, that’s why oils go rancid, and this reaction is also promoted by light. Finally, plant omega 3 FA, such as alpha linoleic acid (ALA), are not the same as marine sourced omega 3 FA, such as EPA and DHA. The latter have longer molecular chains and are largely credited with the cited benefits. Replacing convenience/take away food and carbonated soft drinks with healthy home cooked meals and water and/or unsweetened tea will go a long way towards better health, even if omega 6 FA containing oils are used for cooking. A concentrated and heavy metal tested omega 3 fish oil supplement, together with a B vitamin supplement containing B2, B6, B12 and folic acid can be used to increase the omega 3 FA proportion of a diet. The 2 UA-cam channels "Physionic" and "Nutrition Made Simple" do an excellent job in critically evaluating clinical studies beyond the abstract text.
What about almond oil? I assume that like coconut, it would be ok since it is a nut and not a seed. One thing I eat that is otherwise very healthy has almond oil in it, I assume is ok. If anyone has any comments on almond oil specifically, please share them, I would like to know, thanks!
@@carriecree1789 Well coconuts are considered nuts, and coconut oil is considered healthy. But coconuts seem different than much smaller nuts... so that still does not answer whether almond oil is healthy or not. I would love to know!
I went down a bit of a rabbit hole to help answer your question. Almond oil would be a good option for drizzling on things and less good for cooking. It is mostly monounsaturated fat like olive oil is so its much more chemically stable than polyunsaturated seed oils. That's means it's less likely to oxidize and produce pro inflammatory compounds but lacks the high heat stability that saturated fat has. I hope that helps!
@@jamesbenz3228 Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm not sure that gives me a definite good/bad, I think the granola that I eat that has almond oil in it will have to be one of my guilty pleasures I guess!
Hello Dr Dhand. Thank you so much for sharing all the valuable information in your videos! I have bought some bars that is filled with superfood powders and other nutritious things and good, healthy protein. Unfortunately I saw organic flax seed, sesame seed, sunflower seed and pumpkin seed oils are all in there. I have written to the company expressing my concern and they responded that these are healthy oils due to the way the process them, it is without chemicals and are either cold pressed or expeller pressed. Is this true that there is a way for these seed oils to be healthier and less inflammatory? Please share your thoughts in this thank you.
I agree with the good doctor on many things but as long as the amount of oil in the diet is low no one should worry about consuming seed oil. For anyone who does quality of life will be dramatically badly affected. Avoiding the oil will become such an obsession that the worry that goes along with that will do far more damage to health than seed oils ever will.
wrong... nothing wrong with frying. It is what you fry it with... ergo these seed oils. Use non seed and animal fats .... and toss out that idea that dietary cholesterol causes high cholesterol, that is a big fat lie.
It's funny to me. I've always hated soybean oil and canola oil, I never believed all the horseshit about them being heart healthy. The main reason I hated them was because they were worthless, tasteless, empty calories. I had no idea how unhealthy they really were. Now, that was back when I'd deep fry fish and shrimp in corn oil or peanut oil. I gave all that up a few years ago because they really aren't any better but at least they weren't flavorless disappointment.

He went to the cemetery in Normandy for the British and with tears over fallen friends he said to himself, "David, here are 27,000 reasons not to talk about your war."
You have made a huge difference for good....and you'll have the best of company.
I love cooking with saturated fat
best tasting and most healthy.
Thank You. X
Consuming seed oil is more dangerous than smoking. I only use butter or coconut fat, and i make bullet proff coffe some times.
I use organic avocado oil
3:06 anywhere *nearly enough
anywhere near enough
Maybe swallowing some NP's seed will make you feel beter
Totally agree
Nice shortie😊
thanks for keeping it short :)
With all due respect:
I use vegetable oils moderately without any problem so far. Most of all they are affordable to common
folks such as myself and we are too many of us outnumbered to health conscious stock. Without a doubt
the whole world loves Dr. Suneel, but unfortunately his health advice is not for poor population en masse.
I do have Olive oil but damn thing costs too much.
Live healthy! Well wishes all.
Cut out seed oils many years ago. In my experience, the few times i do eat out or indulge is something with seed oils my arthritis really acts up.
I assume you are talking about seed oils sold in stores. Where I'm from we cold press sun flower and pumpkin seeds. One is used for cooking and the other for salads. I believe these oils are perfectly fine.
They have been used since beginning of time.
Completely new ti me, i will change to ghee for baking, as virgin olive oil also doesnt seem tk be right to bake with
There is no doubt that we are exposed to an almost inescapable overabundance of omega 6 fatty acids in our food chain, not just in processed foods.
Almonds are nuts, but "nuts" are their own category of seed.
Do you have any study showing they are inflammatory?
what about beef dripping?
They give vegetables a bad name. Use them to clean your hands of paint and grease...
What about hemp seed oil Doc?
Too many fried foods. We are dying early . Life span is getting shorter and shorter.😢
Boil eggs then no oil needed
@@tims9434or fry without SEED oil
wrong... nothing wrong with frying.
It is what you fry it with... ergo these seed oils.
Use non seed and animal fats
.... and toss out that idea that dietary cholesterol causes high cholesterol, that is a big fat lie.
What about flaxseed oil?
What about mustard seed oil
It's funny to me. I've always hated soybean oil and canola oil, I never believed all the horseshit about them being heart healthy. The main reason I hated them was because they were worthless, tasteless, empty calories. I had no idea how unhealthy they really were.
Now, that was back when I'd deep fry fish and shrimp in corn oil or peanut oil. I gave all that up a few years ago because they really aren't any better but at least they weren't flavorless disappointment.
