Aww bless you Petra "Hey Kenan what do you think you're doing?" Trying to protect her eggs, such a good mama. It always blows my mind that so many big eggs can fit inside such a small animal, and that they can lay such big eggs compared to their size!
When you really care about your animals it's a lot of work, because you do everything you can to keep them healthy and happy. That's why I subscribed to your channel. Hope some of your young friends will learn from you too. 😊
Petra is pretty name. She was making sure you weren’t going to hurt her eggs. She’s a good mama. She sure did a good job hiding them from you Kenan lol.
As an animal on your reptile farm. Petra is providing you enrichment so that you grow and thrive as a species. She’s checking on your progress ❤️✌🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Hi Kenan. I love your videos and I’d love if you can make a full video mentioning the entire process of egg incubation for reptiles more specifically lizards. All do’s and dont’s. All the positive out comes and what to do in case something goes wrong and any other helpful information you can give your viewers. That would be awesome.
Kenan it is good to see the egg digging season coming around again. Thank you for taking the time to do them as they are very interesting. Also the variety you put in your videos is really enjoyable to watch. 👍👍👍👍
Mann I am very happy for you .I just started following you and I love it. Mann I can't keep any pet because I am a irresponsible guy .So I see UA-cam videos of guys who have pet that makes me satisfied.
! When he grabbed that plastic bin with all of those eggs in there with one hand, I was like OoO OMG! Was anybody else thinking that too? That could have been a disaster. I'm guessing that Kenan has restaurant waiter skills, maybe? That was such a nice female Rhino.
I'm not sure it would work the same but I cant see why not... considering it's meant for cleaning. But with plants if the soil is getting moldy on the top you can water with a solution of water with a capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Might be worth trying to reduce the chances of mold.
Great video Kenan! How come you don’t candle those eggs? Is it maybe not needed? I see it a lot on UA-cam videos with snake eggs. Thank you! Hello Kate!
All good farmers have a side kick Dog. Being a Reptile farmer I feel a well trained monitor would be a good Egg sniffing sidekick. Only if you could get past the wanting to eat them part. Time to train slinky not to want fresh food hmmm maybe not.
reptiles dont think like we do! its very hard not to project human emotions onto other animals we share this planet with but rest assured besides in the moment, she really doesnt care. shes not bothered other than we she sees kenan near the area because its her basic instinct, she wont be up at night about it!
Hey kenan i had a few question im getting a new russian tortoise never had 1 before so 1: do i need to make the whole enclosure (its inside) very humid or just one hide? 2:how often should i feed it? 3:when fed the right amount how fast should they grow?
Hi, I would recommend having a humidity gradient similar to the heat gradient, however they need it relativity dry so I would recommend a humid hide. You should feed daily on a grasslands tortoise diet and fresh collard greens things like that, with the amount being a little less than the weight of the tortoise. And they are pretty slow growing and even as adults they're still a small tortoise. Hope this helps 😀
sappie well if it like humid the enclosure would be best but have a place for it to go where it is not humid Food wise not sure I would say about the same as another tortoise of the same size And growth can very from tortoise to tortoise even in the same environment
So what happens with her now? Do Iguanas follow up with their babies, or do they just lay the eggs and that's it? Will she go through a separation anxiety?
The Mother Rhino Iguana assumes an upright stance, almost dinosaur like in appearance in order to scare off any would be egg thief's that may try and tamper with her clutch. A Homo Sapian enters the burial chamber and the mother advances towards the threat ready to defend with her life. Luckily the spot was a dummy nest, an empty diversion.
You definitely care about your animals just like me I had a green iguana for 7 years he got to be about 5 ft long I cut my room in half and made it a aquarium for him but you work what are caged open I used to because I was inside but you're outside and you were in there digging why the female could have went out the door just curious what do you think about that obviously you know your animals so

Petra was just trying to tell you that you were digging the wrong way. Such a good momma. Congratulations on the eggs.
We always see stuff filmed during the day, could you do night time tour at Kamp Kenan? See how your animals behave during the night?

Great video and wish you nothing but the best
Lol I love the music to the video. I’d be looking over my shoulder too
Rhino Iggy's are most definitely the more Interesting Iguana! So Prehistoric looking
to avoid water dripping down from condensation on the lid you just need to to incline the box by a small angle, like 10-15° degrees...
Congratulations!
I LOVE this channel!
Cool thanks for the video
Kenan may be the "Lizard Dad" but Morrison will always be "the Lizard King"!

Good morning Kenan! Haven’t committed in a while!
Petra is Momma
Kenan is now Grandpa!!!
*Kenan Harkin* how much you usually sell your iguana eggs for? Well the live young since they will hatch
! When he grabbed that plastic bin with all of those eggs in there with one hand, I was like OoO OMG! Was anybody else thinking that too? That could have been a disaster. I'm guessing that Kenan has restaurant waiter skills, maybe? That was such a nice female Rhino.
Does the damp paper towel trick work for all reptile eggs or just rhino iguana eggs?
Oh that poor baby. She knows what you're doing. She looks sad and curious. What are you doing Dad? You've torn up my livingroom!!!
I love rhino iguanas I would love to own one but I live in a condo and it would not be enough space for them
Is that normal for a little turtle to be snuggled in with your rhino iguanas? That is just too cute
Reminds me of Jurassic Park 3 Raptor eggs scene, so cool! I've always wanted a rhino iguana, but I live up north so it's a no no for me.
Those eggs look like they would make a good omelette
Yes!!!... that's the best thing ever
Have you ever buried eggs for slinky to dig up For enrichment purposes?
very cool
Are there air holes in the lid of the container?
I'm not sure it would work the same but I cant see why not... considering it's meant for cleaning. But with plants if the soil is getting moldy on the top you can water with a solution of water with a capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Might be worth trying to reduce the chances of mold.
Love this!!!
I love ur videos
how do you get around not breaking the eggs? seems like it's hard to dig while dealing with something so delicate
How is Lumpy? Any updates?
Hi kenan!! Big fan from Singapore 🇸🇬.

Use press and seal over the lids works greart
Kenan, you are a hero. Please help make PC stop with consuming plastic crap and animals
My sulcata tortoise sometimes makes groaning and moaning sounds. Wondering if you could give me some advise>
Was the enclosure door open the whole time? LMAO it’s giving me anxiety. Congrats on the beautiful eggs!

Does it work with green iguana eggs?
"she's covered in dirt"... nah mate, she's covered in spiders, oh my god!
what you do with the babies once they are hatched?
Hi Keenan whats the name brand of the incubator do you have looks nice.

Remember to also have UVB light for it.
sappie its not kenans job to be your personal pet advisor. There are plenty of care guides out there for you to find yourself.
It's funny that my birthday is on October 😂
Are you worried they could dig out of their enclosure?
He has the side was buried about 18-24 inches in the ground so they would start to try to dig out but then get bored after they see they cant
How is the wounded tortoise doing
She was packed full of those eggs.
I wish I had a rhinoceros iguana :) Lol
Also if you know one of your animals are about to lay could you maybe set up a camera? Then you'd know exactly when they are layed and where.
He doesn't know. It's actually very hard to know when a reptile is pregnant
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim shame, coz that would be great footage to watch.
So what happens with her now? Do Iguanas follow up with their babies, or do they just lay the eggs and that's it? Will she go through a separation anxiety?
They lay the eggs and that's it.
As he said, they will protect the eggs but they dont follow up when they're hatched
That is a lot of excavation she did. Neat video. Thanks.
What a don
Do you ever show the parents the babies after they hatch? If so do they know that they are their babies?
I deadass thought that bucket of egss were potatoes

Do you have a waiting list for hatchling 's ? If so i would like to add my name
Hello. I from vietnam
You can show me how to incubate iguana. If I don't have an incubator.
Holy eggs
Hello
Can I please buy one when they hatch
When was the last time Lola laid eggs?
