      It's worth waiting for. I waited 6 month in DK. But now it's here. I've got some problems with fog inside the frontlamps. I think, ventilation is the answer.

    First modification you have to do is put the electric plug for the trailer on the top of the bar; the first off road you do, you will loose your electrics.

    Thanks for the post mate! hows the towbar? is it sticking out too much?

    Apparently the wiring Harness that comes with the tow bar is not Plug in an play. Which required an additional 2 hours labour to have it fitted👊

    What tyres did you get fitted and do you like them? I am getting my car this week and am interested in changing from the stock tyres.

    Hello, does anyone knows which size it's the OEM tow hitch receiver, 2"/ 5.1cm or 1.25"/ 3.2cm ? Cheers!

    Hi, did you / do you have a link to anywhere where the product is shown before you ordered. I've ordered my jimny now and had the hitch added to the order. My bike rack already has some length in it for clearance and having seen your video (seems to be the only image in existence of this item) I am concerned enough to be calling up and cancelling the accessories. I thought i'd look to see if there was any documentation for it online to be sure but the jimny accessories page just says image under construction.

      Hey Chris , I ended up removing the OEM towbar, not practical, too long and especially on steep angles catches the ground, rocks etc. instead I bought an all in one steel bumper with towing system built inn- Look up WILD Dog accessories in South Africa- quality is exceptional.

    Wow, it hangs out the back a lot. How will it affect the departure angle?

    • @swaziau

      Yeah I was surprised when I picked it up. Will have to see how we go

    Can you tell how much it reduces departure angle? I'm not sure if order it one or not

    • @swaziau
      @swaziau  4 роки тому

      Diablo tristian sorry for late reply. So far departure angle has been ok. I would say that it would likely restrict the angle a little on very steep angle changes where surface is very uneven or large boulders, rocks etc

    Wow a Jimny towing! What kind of weight is it rated for with a braked trailer?

      @@swaziau thanks, I looked it up and I thought I replied but didn't press the "reply" button (doh)! I really like the idea of building a super light camper and using a Jimny - just for the cost of fuel (which only ever goes up), reduced damage to environment, real 4x4 capability and more of an adventure than cocooned in a big 4x4. I want to get the newer 1.5 if I can, but not sure if this will match the 1.8 transplant you've done - in fact I'm sure it won't. I was wondering too - what is the winch? pulling power, brand or where from etc. for specs I can use. I was thinking to go the whole hog with the trailer and fit electric brakes with one of those smart boxes that does the ABS/ESP thing on the trailer too - for highway stability, particularly going down hill.

    100% it can’t be shortened? There is an eBay UK jimny for sale with a blind cap on a “stock” towbar, much further back than the obvious receiver of yours.

      The Suzuki UK OEM tow bar are detachable not impacting the rear departure angle, have a look at this link
