- As an official ambassador for the TAG XR Towbar team, I am super excited to share this installation process with you all! We are installing the TAG XR Towbar for the Suzuki Jimny XL, and part 2 of this video (featuring the wiring harness) will be published as a separate video. This tow bar is great not only due to it's design and towing features but also functions as recovery points for your Jimny - essential when you're out 4x4ing!

NOTES: The additional sticker showcased in the video is the compliance sticker which can be placed in the door-jam of your vehicle. Additionally, the holes near the centre of the towbar are for the d-shackles/safety chain mounts. The Recovery Hitch (L4R01) doesn’t come with the towbar but can be purchased separately (only $89 RRP). More details can be found in the fitting instructions and at tagtowbars.com.au.

Hi,great video, I just watched the one on the accessories you fitted to you 3 door, I’m interested re the tow bar etc you fitted to the 3 door, have you towed anything with it yet and if so what trailer ,camper was it. How how is the 3 door re towing, I’m very close to buying a 5 door so in very interested re this towed and how the 5 door tows. Cheers
Hey! Haven’t actually towed with it yet so I’m sure I’ll be able to do more of a review in the future once we’ve tested it out 😁

Hi, has dre had rust proofing done to his chassis? Only asking because I'm planning on getting it done and not sure if I should install the towbar first or wait until after rustproofing
Hey! Yes we’ve already had it done - your towbar wouldn’t be rustproofed anyways as that’s only done for the chassis. The towbar is powder coated (or similar) as is so it shouldn’t rust ☺️

Hey, tow bar looks good.. does TAG do a wiring kit for the XL ? did you guys fit any wiring ?
Yes they do the wiring kit too! I have the 3-door wiring kit here now so aiming to install it soon. The 5-door is still under development but not for much longer.
Is there another wiring harness that can fit the XL? Any idea when the XL harness would be out?
@@YouSydneyTube I think Suzuki have now got a harness for the five door models. I’ll ask on Friday when I pick my Zook up
Hi all, after some info. I’m looking at buying the 5 door XL ,so chatting to the dealer in the yard I was looking at the chiffon ivory,he happened to mention this was “about $700” more with the black roof compared to the Jungle Green ,no black roof,does this sound correct or was he already jacking up the price. I can see nowhere were it mentioned this in any reviews. Cheers guys.
Hey! Yeah so prices for the two-tone option is generally more expensive. Might differ from country to country but in Queensland it’s generally about $1-1.5k more expensive for the chiffon ivory and some of the other colours.
