I filet blues and soak them in milk overnight. Fry the next day. Pretty dadgum good! We'll be down Aug 18-21 with our boat. Holla if you wanna hook up!🤘🏻
@@12Bravojeepstuff with the storm it’s gonna be a tough week. I’ll probably have some time off because not many people want to do boat tours in a tropical storm lol, but I’m not sure how the fishing will be
@@SandsintheSurf we caught a lot of pompano and mullet in the surf this afternoon off of the 19th NE public access with the cast net. Hopefully going to get to fish tomorrow 😁
Staying at oceanwalk on 56th until Friday if you wanna link up and do some surf fishing. Ive been watching your videos in preparation of coming here but havent had much luck yet. Just a single pinfish. I think my rigging may be to blame. My first time ever using circle hooks as well.
Hey man I’m down right now and I would stay until the 28 I would love to meet up again if it’s good for you also I’m am going to try to target pompano in the surf and sheepshead in the kayak
@@jaredrotenberry7263 should be a good spot but with all the rain and storms makes fishing the surf difficult. All my trips this week were scheduled and then rescheduled. Uggh
You provide so much knowledge. I just can’t seem to put it all together. Keep the videos coming and I’ll keep watching. Rough conditions but I have completely struck out this week
@@jaredrotenberry7263 its not you, it’s been a tough week with all the storms and rain. Lots of seaweed, dirty fresh (not salt) water mixing makes it hard.
@@SandsintheSurf yeah that makes sense. Left out at 5:30 this morning. Back in West Virginia now. I enjoy your content. This was our first trip to OI. Other than the weather we enjoyed it.
You can cut squid into strips, pat them dry, and cover in salt for a week or so. I store in a fridge but you don’t have to keep cold while fishing. Easy go to bait that still catches fish!

Coming to the island this weekend.. where do you go for kayaking? Been following for about 2 years now good content
@@youttubeviewer1 I like to launch at west 57 where the Lonerider restaurant is. Then fish Montgomery slough and behind Sheep Island.

@@jenniferprivette9409 hey. I’ve got tours till Wednesday but hopefully I’ll have off Thursday and or Friday.
Sorry for not responding sooner but that sounds great I can do either day around 4:30 ish if that’s ok with you
Actually it might be best to do it around 6 so there won’t be as many people out on the beach
@@jenniferprivette9409 I just picked up a long tour on Friday. Are you around tomorrow, Thursday, morning?
@@SandsintheSurfsorry that I’m reading this Thursday morning but I’ll come down but if your not down can you do Saturday morning
I’m at the beach access at 730w beach drive. Maybe that isn’t a favorable spot

@@brettbutler6151 Good tip, thanks. Though I’m not sure how happy my wife would be with me if I kept squid in the fridge for a week 😅
