I just did this for the second time! love your tutorials. when I really want to know just how to do something, I come to you. skinny jeans are so unflattering on me, and now I don't worry about getting jeans that fit otherwise except being skinny from the thrift shop. :-)
This is truly a marriage between science and art. I’m sure we develop neural pathways when we try to do these projects. So many of my skinny jeans have gone to the thrift store for no longer being worn or wanted.
Thank you for this video, I am using it to create cropped mini bootcut from my too tight in the ankle skinny jeans. You're very good with the voice over and I love when you said, "so satisfying" on the seam ripping, so cute! Made me chuckle because it's so true!
Oh thank goodness. I was just thinking.. I'm so tired of how uncomfortable my skinny jeans are. I'm going to sew in a godet. Thank you for this solution. Now I know how to do it well.
I hope some day to be brave enough to try your techniques. Until that time, I will watch your videos and learn and just smile at your cute voice...heheheee. I just love your videos. I'm a fan. :)
How can you make a Ready to Wear Jean jacket bigger? My cousin bought a Jean jacket but it's too small so he wants me to use fabric from a pair of matching black jeans to make it bigger to fit him. I've only made masks&skirts& 1 baby blanket but apparently people think if you can sew 1 thing you can sew anything. I don't mind to try but I'd like to actually know how to do it instead of winging it.
Buen tutorial .
Feliz Costura! 🥳
May I ask why, when you were getting enough fabric for your insert, you chose that part that had been patched? Were you looking for that as 'character" or did you just not have enough fabric?
This is cool!! Sometimes I just watch to hear her talk bc she’s so adorable!! 🤗

Excellent work. Such a nice idea …. Love your work ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much 🥰
Oh my- bringing back hippie jean memories! The word 'godet' is pronounced like this 'GO- day'.
Oh! Thank you, thank you 😊
I was thinking - if I wanted to keep the stitch on the outside of the leg, couldn’t I just put in the triangle on the inside seam??
Yes! You can. Although the Jean's top stitches are mostly in the inseam and the outseam is a plain stitch. Cheers 🙂
Have many skinny jeans, I really don't want to buy new jeans. I don't like the skinny jeans anymore, this is a perfect solution!
Happy sewing! 😊
Could you add a Godet on each side? For a wider flare?
Yes! That would look fantastic 👌👌👌
lovely way👍♥

You can try to use the same technique on the side seams. Try to go pass the sleeves. I hope this helps!
Can we do this technique without leggings, make them looser for comfort and ease? Thanks
Yes we can 🥰
I love this . 😀
Thanks 🥰

Mmmmm. Satisfying. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks 🥰
que es el seam allowance??
Hi! It's the area between the edge of the fabric and the line where you are going to make the stitch. It varies from seam to seam. Cheers 😊
Es lo que dejas en la orilla de la tela para coser. Saludos 🤗

Yes! Exactly. I was looking for a little bit of character. I could have gone a little lower if I wanted to skip the patch 🙂
Good
Nice
🥰🥰🥰
I’ll do this to my jeans
