does the fabric have to be stiff? I know denim is pretty stiff but the fabric I want to use isn’t, so I’m thinking about sewing the fabric onto the denim but idk
@@wren_. u probably don’t need this anymore but i would recommend to sew the fabric onto the denim cuz if u dont then the fabric will look floppy, unless that’s what you’re going for
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! My cousin had a pair and I just fell in love with them. Couldn't find them anywhere. Then Fashion Nova had them but quickly sold out. I'm plus size so it would be difficult to find bell bottom jeans in this style for my size. Now I can make my own and its so simple! I'm sooo excited!! Thank so much again!!
I have always loved this style! New SUBSCRIBER. AWESOME! HINT: I always place my pins the opposite way as you did. ..so they are in a west/east pointed position instead of a north/south pointed downward position. My mother taught me that. Then, you can sew your stitch right over them and keep the fabric pinned together until completely finished. Then you pull out all your pins once you have everything sewed together. Your material stays together the way you originally pinned it without it moving. Especially helpful when sewing "slippery" or stretchy material.
Thank you for this!! I have some really cute straight leg jeans but I’m more into flare jeans so I don’t wear the straight legs very much so I want to try this!! Seam ripping can be so tedious depending on the material you’re working with. I take out a lot of bottom hems on lounge pants to make them fit me better & it takes FOREVER!!
You did absolutely amazing, result is legit gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for out of all the videos I’ve watched. This video and your channel deserves so much more appreciation, looks like you got amazing sense for aesthetic and style and great thinking as well. Thank you so much and much love 💛🌽🧚♀️🌞
I have a bit of a thing for flares, really wide at the bottom and kinda skinny at the top. I love charity shopping my finds and this is exactly the kind of tutorial I was looking for. Thanks, those jeans look AMAZIN :-)
OMG I just love the way your jeans came out. You made them so so nice. I personally love bell bottoms and hate the skinny jean look. So I think I’m going to have try this out myself. Thanks so much for posting ☺️
OMG SOOOOO FREAKIN' CUUUUUTE!!!!! Thanks for this video, love that you showed that you don't have to use the same size of jeans, you can use anything that'll give enough fabric!(: love!
OMG I love these..but What if I want my flare a little wider than this Do i Just Use A Bigger Pair Of Jeans To Cut Out My triangles from...Like Some Of My Hubby's Old Size 46 pants..??? Instead of a pair of mine?? Size 14's
You can algo buy a yard of fresh denim fabric. I you use the whole thing, your flares are going to be so huge and cool. (I did this and have flares like theres no tomorrrow)
I never understood why skinny jeans were ever popular. Flared jeans just look so good 😍
Clearly you're not really into fashion then, lol. Everything changes and depends on taste.
Thigh high boots were popular for a while so skinny jeans were the most comfortable to make them fit
@@user-vl4zi9vl8gcalm down, she is just giving her opinion
You mean jeans that fit…
@@user-vl4zi9vl8gwho tf do you think you are 😭
I'm so doing this!!! I'm pettite so I have absolutely no luck finding bell bottom jeans that fit! Thank you so much!
Esmeralda Torres Martinez sameee😂🥺
Sameeee
Me two
Thinking about doing this. I think I might use some funky pattern material instead of another pair of denim. :)
That’s such a good idea I might try that aswell!! 💟🧡
Im gonna try brown jeans with panels of brown-cow print fabric 🤣
