I have never seen a Case plow in the field; it looks rather sturdy and doing a nice job. Dad always plowed with IHC units and I followed with my Allis WD and an A C 3-bottom mounted plow. What a team! Thanks for the video; nice to see (and hear) an old M at work.
@@mikekuhn6216 unfortunately I haven't found a good IH plow yet. I've got a john Deere 3 bottom I need to go get to pull behind the M. Most of my plowing has been done on a WD-45 or my D-17 with a snap coupler plow
Good day I am from Ontario, Yes our neighbour had 125 & had WD, 3 furrow, rd baler, & #60 allis pull type combine. I bet that tractor had lots of hours on. Ths
With 3-14s, a straight M with a good governor is really comfortable in that kind of soil & That's a really good looking Case plow. I gave up on the one dad left behind when finding parts became too many and too difficult. It's now a gate guard.
@@bueno7052 I bought it a couple years ago in an auction. If I can't get any parts once the bottoms wear out I'll just make it a show piece and buy a different plow I can get parts for yet
@@don66hotrod94 it definitely does a fine job of plowing. It isn't much of a fan of today's amount of corn stalks in the field, but any of my old plows don't like that
@@brokenhammer445 We plowed with one until we started growing dry corn and had corn stalks. Wasn't too bad with 40" rows, but then we went to 34" rows and that was a nightmare.
watched our friends the Wellman family plow with Grandpa Kelly on the super M w/3 bottoms, father Joe on the M w/3 bottoms, and son Bob on the H w/2 bottoms following each other across the field.... mid '60s
@@karlendlich4951 allegedly it's got a 400/450 kit in it. I'm a believer that it's had some engine work done. It doesn't mind that 3-16 in 3rd gear and spins out in 6,000lb 3mph pulls

Nice job 👍
Looks like it worked really good, soil looks good too.
@@MikeJensen-wo7oh it's a nice plowing field. We always start in that one every spring at the plow day
That's the famous Case Centennial plow which was to honor Grand Detour's century of plow building. Doing a nice job plowing.

good ol m good plowmanship set pretty dog gone good
I had a 41 M Pulled a three bottom plow in 4th gear.
Accelerating UPHILL, with three bottoms, then he backs off a little just to not be showing off. That's torque....
