I enjoy seeing your IH 140 and Cub. It is cool that you are keeping the history alive. I have a 1955 Farmall Cub and a Farmall 100 both with fast hitch. I am enjoying getting them running and collecting implements for them. Very relaxing and rewarding experience.
There are probably more 140’s in NC than any other state, as the tobacco farmers used them prolifically. I think that the 140’s vast popularity in NC is what enabled such a long production run.
Amen. Most of the tobacco farms in Stokes County here were relatively small and the 140 was tailor made for them. Daddy and I raised tobacco with mine for a number of years and I continue to raise a vegetable garden with it.

thanks for the video I have a 140 with a danco c - 4 belly mower it's a beast 2nd owner will never leave the farm my papa had 7 140 for gardens one was a high clearance good times thanks again 👍
Good info. My original gas cap 75 model year resembled your radiator cap. International sent me one like yours, about a 3x3” in early 80’s and said they were having trouble with that style not being vented I believe they said. Sent it in the mail

A 140 is the ultimate Super A. They’re usually a bit more money, but most 140s are 12 volt (after 1964), often have a much more comfortable seat & a Fast Hitch. Once you use Fast Hitch equipment, you’ll never want to go back to bolt-on. Super A tractors are still better than Cubs I think though for many reasons. Thank You for watching

Very how long have you had that one we are getting ready to buy a h farmall it will be another cheap buy it doesn't run 600 its got a homemade 3 point hitch and it has rice tires combine size i will put a heavey blade one the front
The first one is my brother’s. The second is mine. About that H, I have always been told by the old-timers that “if she turns over, she’ll run.”😃 my brother used to have a 1950 M with a homemade 3-point with a gacked up fast hitch mower that had been cut and welded for 3-point. My 1963 140 looks like the old one you have. It has the MCCormick Farmall 140 decals and new style grill. Unlike your's, it has the fast hitch. I think that steering wheel is a replacement. I've seen a few others with replacement steering wheels like that. My part of North Carolina was well known for tobacco and just about every farm had at least one 140. It's just my opinion but I think phasing out the Farmall name was the down fall of International Harvester. Afterall, the Farmall was the tractor that put them on the map.

I think I would like to own a 140 with standard hitch. That's what I grew up with plus the one point looks a little chintzy.
