With the new V2 radio and the idatalink maestros, is there a solution to add TPMS sensors to a bike that currently does not have them so that the gauges will display the tire pressure. 2017 Ultra Limited is the bike in question.
You can have your Harley dealer install factory sensors and the needed receiver so that the factory ecm can see the sensors, once the bike can read them the radio will also be able to
You can add TPMS to your bike because I did it on my '17 Road Glide Ultra (I used the kit w/ PN: 42300124A). Harley says it DOES NOT fit your bike, but it WILL work: You'll need to have the sensors kit installed (that kit works with the stock "Impeller" wheels), then have your BCM flashed to allow the bike to read them- probably easiest done by the dealer. (There are threads on the HDForums about this upgrade) I waited until a tire swap was required, and the shop I brought my wheels to added the sensors with the tire change. I have software that allowed me to activate the function which saved me a trip to the dealer. I'm fairly certain that you'll only see the pressures in the odometer section of your speedo with the stock 6.5GT; the default will be to display front tire (FR) pressure -> rear tire (RR) pressure -> total mileage -> trip A -> trip B with each press of the odometer toggle switch. Actually, when the bike first starts, it defaults to the front tire pressure reading. The TPMS still reads in my odometer even though I put a GTS radio on bike; since I had swapped the GTS in about a year before I did the TPMS, I am not sure if the 6.5GT has the required TPMS screen. But once the kit is in and activated in the BCM, the V2 should see them and display it like the GTS does (pic of a bike with the fr/rr pressures) on the "Info" page in addition to displaying in the odometer.
Update..... Went to the dealer today and had them install the Harley P&A TPMS sensors, #42300124A. There is no separate receiver or module required. They just had to flash the bike for the sensors. After much discussion and a few calls to Harley tech support, it was figured out that at least on my bike, the tire pressure is only shown on the GT 6.5 radio and not the odometer like we thought it should/ would be. The 2017 speedo and tach gauge does not have the icon or the light for the low pressure warning, and the odometer does not show the pressures. So, it can be done on the older bikes and the older 6.5 GT radio, and once my V2 arrives, it should show properly there also.... On a side note, the P&A catalog does have a sharp looking set of accessory gauges that "should" allow the TPMS to be fully functional like the newer bikes, warnings displayed on the gauge and pressures shown on the odometer. The gauges look like the 2020 CVO gauges. Thanks to those who replied.
They may have a video, but it is not difficult. I installed it in the fairing of my road glide a few years ago. Just make sure the are you are installing it on is clean, and take your time. Don’t try to rush it.
I have a system on order with the new V2 radio and the MRR. I didn't know about the MRR2 and was going to call today to ask about the differences when I saw your video. I would like to know if the usb cable could be permanently attached to the MRR and brought outside the fairing for future updates. If the main fuse is removed could an update be installed with all the wires connected. Thanks
Yes your scenario should work but seems like just as much work to pull the main fuse and install a longer usb cable. You would need an extension and the idatalink branded usb

2017 Street glide. In the original equipment Harley radio there is a setting to change the Odometer from Miles to Kilometers. Does the V2 have this function? I'm running a Sony 7000 now and it does not. My battery died once and came back on in Kilometers when I put a new battery in. Harley dealer techs told me through the radio is the only way to change that. How about the 14+ also if you dont mind. Appreciate your time Sir. Not a deal breaker but I am curious.
I have the screaming eagle 'Smart Tune Pro Automatic Tuning Module' wide band oxygen sensor system installed. Does this interfere with the ability to display the gauges on the V2?
What is the firmware v2.3 do for the maestro mmr? Any big update? I’m having obd2 problems all of a sudden with 2.20. My red light is on street glide dash showing electric problem and abs and tc lights are on too. Weird.
Nothing that would help with an obd2 error. You may have water in the maestro or it may just have an internal issue that needs warranted in the maestro
I will call you guys Tuesday to order one. So you mean I can literally NOT have to pull my fairing to update the mmr2? Because I heard you still have to hit pairing button. Is this true or not? Thanks again guys.
So yesterday I rode my 21 SG with SS HDHU14si and maestro. I noticed my red security light came on then shortly after the ABS and TC lights came on steady. Then the SS stopped responding and volume was going up and down by itself and not responding to any input from me. So I shut off screen. I can tell you with 💯 certainty my module has never seen water or rain intrusion. I did a maestro module reset on screen and haven’t tried that yet but do you have any other insight as to what can be the trouble. I also checked motorcycle for daig codes and there are none stored or active in my bikes ecm bcm or abs module. Thanks
Jay, Great vid, thank you. I just got my V2, amp, and speakers and am going to start installing 2 systems on 2 RG3's in the morning. Couple questions... Q: With the micro relay programmable with the MRR2, does this also mean like accessory LED lighting? eg. Ciro3D Shock & Awe Q: Just to verify that the blue REM IN wire plugs directly into the harness from the amp and not directly to the bike. Q: So, nice tip on the use of the open terminals of the MRR2 with dielectric grease. Would a small section of electrical tape be in order as well or would that possible cause heating issues? Q: Any reason that my use of Dakota Digital gauges (purchased before I ordered your system) would interfere with the use of the gauges on the V2. One thing I have discussed with Dakota was that I do not have both rear tire pressures on the version gauges I have and they are stating I have to send them in for an update. Grrr So, can the V2 read both rear tire pressures for a trike? Thanks again!
V2 can not currently see second rear tpms sensor on a trike, a future update should add it. No tape needed on the maestro and for sure won’t stick after using dielectric grease on terminals. Remote from amp plugs into the radios remote connector on the harness. The programmable outputs can control led lighting but will need a relay added for the turn on to activate

I would like to see a video on the IGo navigation. Especially how to import GPX routes.
You can not import gpx files as of now but I know they are trying to see if it is possible to add it
