It’s hard to know who to trust when it comes to UA-cam reviews. I have trusted a creator’s opinion that resulted in wasted time and money. ToneWars, however, has never once let me down. I started small with the Tonex and most recently bought the Soldano Astro based on Jarrod’s recommendations. This is a great channel with an awesome community!
Those cheap wireless guitar "cables" are awesome to have in the practice room. No tripping on cables, or wrapping around my chair when i turn. Same price as a decent cable, but wireless. Definitely not as perfectly clean as a cable but worth the price for practice at least. So much easier to move around the room
I was too unsure but that sharp top end bothered me in videos so I went with the 6L6 version. Also it seems that KT77 has more gain at lower pot gain settings which I am not fan of. It could be interesting to hear KT77 version with EL34 or 6CA7 tubes.
With all your equipment do you have any ground/noise issues? I recently got a Morley Hum Exterminator and it got rid of the background whine/whistle noise. I plug my 500 watt powered mixer into it.
I have both amps although my fireball is the older one from about 4 yrs ago, mine looks different and has different power tubes but i still love it. Both amps are great imho but if someone is going to buy one or the other, fireball would be my recommendation
I love my FB 25 so really enjoyed your video today it feels.good when feel like you've made the right decision on a amp especially when most of us cant afford to try them all lol thanks for all the killer info just got my mij wolfgang im.a happy camper
Thanks so much for commenting. I'm so glad that my video gave you some good confirmation on your purchase. I freaking love this amp. A friend of mine came over tonight and played through it and was blown away. He said it was definitely one of the best sounding 25 watt amps he's ever played. Like me, he also preferred it over the 100 w version.
So if you have the footswitch, the Engl fireball 25 has a master volume boost only available with a footswitch though. I can’t find anything on UA-cam that covers the volume boost and how much louder it gets when boosted. Is that something you can cover ? Thanks for the quality content !
Thanks for commenting. That's a really good question. Unfortunately, I never got the foot switch with it. I think they are sold separately. I can reach out and see if they'll send it to me.
@@TONEWARSgearshow I have the 6L6 version but no footswitch. I only play at home there's no need more volume at the moment. But I am curious if the volume boost is significant. One day I plan on getting back together with my drummer and jammin with this thing ! It really is an amazing little fire breather !!
Jerrod I remember the first day I bought a pressure washer n it was raining out so I waited till the next sunshiny day quickly realized that was so freaking dumb I was completely soaked n filthy, just wanted to share my pressure washing story I’m sure you get it 🤘love the videos ❤️🎸👍
Thanks for commenting in for the kind words. Always good hearing from you. Oh yeah, I totally understand. I come home covered in filth everyday lol. I'm one of those guys that brings my work home with me lol
Dude, lol the uhoh stinky bit made me literally choke on my beer, i shit you not i had foam in my nose and took me 2 min to stop coughing and gagging. Then after i was good i had to go back and hear you say it all over again. Its the little things sometimes that can make your day,ya know?
A used MT15 and $900 dollars worth of fx pedals would cost the same as the Engl. That would be an even comparison. Sure the Engl has more features, but is it worth twice as much?
Yeah dude. I am, admittedly, an Engl fanboy, however I love PRS amps as well. But one thing a lot of people don't know about is that the archon and Mt have horrible horrible buzzing issues. I mean really fucking bad. Look into it. It's not every unit, but it's a hell of a lot of them. It's not worth the chance for that price.
@@andrewbecker3700 awesome, good to know! I really like the PRS amps I just saw so many videos and people talking about the buzzing. Also really cool that you got it from someone you can trust. And just to say you have one of his amps, lol. I still like the fireball better, but I've never played a real one, only tone models and amp sim. I'm just a bedroom player, so tone models get close enough for me.
@@seannicholes No question the Engl units are superior in many ways. But when you boil it all down, with proper EQ and all the fx pedals most people use, in a mix your not gonna hear as much difference as you think. Alot of people believe what they wanna believe. I'm all about get'n the most enjoyment for the least amount. Brands mean jack squat to me. I rarely purchase anything new especially, unless it's literally the best on the market at that price. I'm not trying to do a KB and have that kinda money into my shit. Between my two Boss Katana 212s and the MT15, I'm sit'n fat already. No worries brother!
Jared, I swear I think you'll dig the Uber Ultra! I had an old Rev Blue Uberschall that I loved, but the Twin Jet sucked. This new Uber Ultra sounds amazing in all the drop tuned demos but I wanna hear a shredders perspective. Bro, I've got a crisp $100 bill I'm ready to throw in on a live stream with the Uber Ultra BUT YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE TRACK YOU PLAYED AT 36:00 ON THE REVV GENERATOR 120 MKIII & EVH 100S STEALTH. I can't help but show my age when shredding with my buddies and after a few Kracken & Cokes I start jamming the Tooth and Nail, Bark at the Moon, and Mr. Crowley solos lol. I shit you not, one of the younger guys said "You gotta show me that man. I love 'Dying in Your Arms' by Trivium too" hahahaha I mean WTF. Until that moment I had no idea Trivium straight up ripped off Jake E. Lee.
Anyone who understands how UA-cam monetization Works should understand that even larger channels don't make a lot of money. I watched Kyle Bulls' video where he explains how he's able to get so many amps. Some are borrowed, many are sold after the demo. And I know Jarrod does the same thing with borrowing from motor city. Personally, I'm more than happy to pay for the tone models considering that Jarrod is capturing amps that almost no one else is. It's the Law of Equivalent exchange, he's doing a lot of work behind the scenes to do these captures. I mean seriously look into how long it takes to do Advanced captures for tonex.
Thanks so much for commenting and for what you said here. It's funny how a lot of people think that us UA-camrs are making tons and tons of money off of our videos and we really are not. We have to do all these other side things just to make a living. And that just adds to the amount of things that we have to do each day. I'm constantly wearing 50 different hats and spinning plates lol. It does get exhausting after a while. Thanks so much to you and everyone else who purchases the preset packs. It literally does mean the world to me.

Thanks for your videos. Quality content. I know it has to be a bunch of work and very time-consuming.

I like the engl. not sure which one the best 6l6 or kt77. PRs has that blanket effect

The Engl was a lot less fizzy while still having a brighter top end that slices through the mix.
With all your equipment do you have any ground/noise issues?

I got one of those for my studio monitors. Best $15 I’ve spent in a long time !
@elus1ve0ne64 mine was $89 from SWEETWATER. I see they have a new one call HumNo, looks cool
At times in the past, I have definitely dealt with some issues but I think they've all been resolved now, knock on wood lol
