The supra drives like a grand tourer whereas this doesn't. The supra is also lack luster everywhere else any of the b58 counterparts do better.

The supra drives like a grand tourer that waxes the corolla for a similar price point. Not to mention the cooler styling. And take it from me, I've owned two Supras and a GR Corolla.... The Supra is also more practical. The only good things about the GR Corolla are its engine and transmission.... Toyota screwed up everything else in that car.

@@ClintonBegin the supra is more practical? Local to me I can get a brand new corolla for 55 and the supra is no where near at 70+ for used 10k+ miles. For the price point, you could've had a BMW or a Porsche that 'waxes the supra' and outshines both cars in all categories besides maintenance cost.

@@michaelnorman5028 could be location dependent. Supras where I am are $70k Canadian, new. Any BMW you would dare to brag about in opposition starts at $95k. The GR Corolla Core with markups is $70k here. If I could get an MSRP Circuit, I might hesitate and rethink my opinion. But the likelihood of that is extremely low. And sure, I'd take a BMW M4 (not the new M2 barf) over the Supra. Maybe... Maybe a really decent M240i xdrive.... But I would need a reason for back seats to put me in a car nobody looks at in place of the supra.

I would probably buy the regular Corolla because it is half the price. I know the GR Corolla would be a world of fun, but the price is quite unrealistic for a normal person who is not looking to take out a 6 year loan of $800 per month.

      No down payment is wild

@@Wooden_Hammer My estimation was including a down payment. I concede that my “half the price” statement was an over estimation but not by much. The price of a new Corolla is approximately $25k while the price of a new GR Corolla is approximately $40k.

Simple starting at 40k without tax fees and markups might as well get an Elantra N, do the maintenance yourself and save actual thousands

I'd buy a regular corolla because I literally cant buy a GR corolla - Toyota has no actual interest in selling any meaningful amount of these things
