      I like the type r for everything over this. With one big exception, AWD! For that reason alone I would pick the GRC.

    So many people commenting about this 3 cylinder engine like it is some kind of shitty liter fords ecoboost 😂 while this engine will slap it's competition this year in WRC Rally2 class 😂

    • @Zack_Aksel
      @Zack_Aksel 4 місяці тому +1

      The engine was originally built for the GR Yaris for WRC so they have a max displacement of 1.6 L, Toyota chose to go with 3 rather than 4 cylinder to give the engine lighter weight and to have larger pistons.

    2 thumbs up. I really enjoyed this overview/review of the GR C. Opposed to other GR video - you pointed out the nuances of what the GR C is. Not fastest - Not the best interior - etc etc. But is it one of the most fun to drive - which is what it is all about.
    My Blue GR C Circuit is currently on a boat to Vancouver - Delivery in early May........... (BTW - I've had a '14 Fiesta ST from new & would not have considered the GR C - the AWD is what attracted me to it - the ST is tons of fun but the FWD is getting old)

    If where talking stock for stock sure, if where talking tunning and potential I'd get a golf R, it's faster and with a simple stage 1 tune and better suspension it handles better than the gr corolla. Funny enough It's also probably more reliable lol

    • @esu2537
      @esu2537 4 місяці тому

      @@BeanieBeanBoi first of all that's not a very common issue and even if ither of the things you mentioned do go back it's a fairly cheap thing to replace. Compare that to Toyota's overpriced 3 cylinder awd system that overheats, not to mention the engine can't hold any more boost because it will literally explode. Compare that to the golfs R tunability and reliability. I'm not talking stock for stock, I'm talking modded vs modded, it is cheaper and more reliable to make a golf R fast, unlike the gr corolla.

    The in depth review is great, but car isn't. 3 Cylinders on 4WD, just not my cup of tea. My minimum is 4 Cylinders, any thing less is just asking for trouble down the road. They could have made few changes to the car to make it look more aggressive. From front it looks exactly like a normal Corolla. I wouldn't buy it even with Toyota's legendary reliability, this is for kids who want to tune it and lower it, remove muffler to make noises and that's it. It aint gaping anything other than other Corollas.
