Bifold door cheater's fix using metal plates from Amazon or Home Depot

Bifold doors often fail because of wear on the pins and their supports that allow the doors to pivot. An inexpenisve fix can be found in the form of metal plates, available online or at Home Depot for about $5. More supportive metal corner brackets are available as well. In this instance the door was already heavily damaged but the metal plates worked adequately to put the door back in service again.
