My dad discovered grilling late in life. Started out with burgers and hot dogs, then tried to expand into chicken. His first attempt involved making tray out of tinfoil so there wouldn't be any dripping or bits falling off. Well, that worked until enough melted fat collected to rip through the tinfoil. I only heard the *"WOOSH,"* but one of my little sisters was out with him and said it created a Biblical pillar of fire.
Dad almost immediately came in to announce that that chicken was done.
He also moved the grill a little further away from the house after that.
Amazing.

That "cardboard cutout" at 5:40 is actually a plastic sign reminding/alerting people on bikes and in cars that there's often kids playing nearby and to watch out
Schim = dutch for shade/shadow/something imagined kind of a thing. It is a bit old-timey for a word that isn't thrown around often.

I used to play the hopping from shadow to shadow game as a kid.
I think the little shadow was the joy of life, playfullness and curiosity. The boy was best friends with it as a kid, then less and less, and lost it completely at the lowest point of his adult life. The shadow frog eventually joined other detached shadows, just as lost as himself. Reminds us to pause sometimes, and let the joy back in.
Schim means shadow or shade or figment of imagination or apparition in Dutch. It’s funny how Dutch devs have a lot of creative ideas, like that ocean cleaning game you recently played
5:41 That isn’t a boy, that is a common driver awareness doll, they are bright yellow or green with a red cap and flag, with the speed limit on them. You chain them up to lampposts on streets where people regularly speed, also most commonly found around schools!

did the bloke not need the shadow anymore because he, um, you know.. self-deleted? and were the end shadows grouped together the lost shadows of people who, you know..?
luckily, this is just a demo, so hopefully, this won't be the case (although I will agree that it does seem like a grim momment for it to end like that)
